  • I dag trænede jeg med to af de mennesker, jeg har erfaret, der får det bedste ud af mig til træning. 
Herman koordinerer min træning og hjælper mig med at blive bedre til teknikken og især også til at tro på mig selv undervejs og Sarah er meget, meget stærk og meget, meget rolig - så hun formår hvad de fleste mænd ikke kan - hun kan få mig i det der ‘shut up and lift’-mode i stedet for at brokke mig for meget - jeg tror det handler om tillid. Hun er meget dygtig til at spotte og så tør jeg godt tage nogle chancer, hvis hun står klar til at gribe. 
Anyway, vi fik en god træning, der bestod af dødløft, floorpres, pulldowns og loglift ☺️ Video af dødløft med 100 kg.

  • Nothing warms my heart more then my 4 kids sitting around together in matching PJ's sharing in the joy of reading! Nevermind the fact that it took an hour, alot of attitude, a million pictures to get a few good ones, and me getting upset 😂😂😂. All I wanted was a few cute pictures in their PJ's I made them. Here's to all my fellow Instagram moms working hard to get those perfect shots. Remember behind every great picture of kiddos is a mom pleading with her kids to just pretend for 10 minutes that our life is perfect. 😂😂 it's anything but perfect y'all, but man oh man do I love these 4 crumb grinders. They really do bring so much joy into my life!! Let's hear some of your behind the scene stories of getting that perfect shot

  • GRACE.
Your kiddos are watching how you react to life, momma. Let me explain... We are all triggered by different things. You know, when you feel your blood pressure rise, your buttons being pushed, your head about to explode. Those behaviors or people that make you want to lose.your.mind. One huge trigger for me is when a person gives me their word and then fails to follow through. 
When people hurt us, it is our instinct to become defensive. Naturally, defensiveness is often the worst side of us that comes out. We want to prove our point. We want to make the other person see where they were wrong, how they hurt us. We may even want to make them “pay “or feel bad. We become hot heads. It’s a natural and instinctual response to being triggered, but it doesn’t mean it’s the right way to respond. 
It happened to me this week. I was triggered big time. It took me several days to figure out how to respond. I went through every scenario. My instincts had big plans to set it right. 
When people hurt us, we dont always understand why. In fact, it’s most common that we will never fully understand why people do what they do. But, what if, when someone “deserved” a reactive response, they “deserved” our wrath and harsh words. What if we offered GRACE instead? What if instead of defending or pointing out fault, we just forgave. Freaking hard. I know. 
People need our love and forgiveness more than they need our soap box. Hurting people hurt people. Their behavior is a reflection of their hurt. Their pain. Their story. It is often not intentional and even when it is, it does us no good to point out their shortcomings. That’s not our job. That’s Gods job. If you spend a lot of time trying to change other people’s behavior, you are wasting your energy. We never know what people are going through and sometimes forgiveness is just the thing they need. The people that are the most unloveable, are the ones that need the most love. 
It feels good when we take the time to respond in a way that serves others instead of serving our own selfish desires.

  • After the business of the Thanksgiving  Holiday, our Black Friday Blowout sale and Cuber Monday sale, I woke up thankful that I can work from wherever or whenever and not leave the house if I don’t want to. Thankful that I woke up on my own time. —— I also woke up feeling a bit overwhelmed needing to get my Christmas stuff up, having thank You’s to still get out, Dr. & hospital bills to go through and figure out what I really owe {don’t ever trust the bill} feelings of not being organized enough, not doing enough, inadequate.  False beliefs. —— Do you struggle with feelings of not being good enough, inferior, insecure? inadequate? —- I read my email devotional from #Encouragementfortoday and was reminded that whatever I’m feeling I’m NOT, that God is. He fills in my gaps. “I’m not creative enough,” God says, “I AM.” “I’m not a good enough  leader,” God says, “I AM.” “I’m not______God says, “I AM.” —- Today I’m focusing on getting rid of those lies that are in my head 👩🏼.... ... and focusing on the truth and letting Him fill my gaps. {and focusing on getting my Christmas stuff up} —— Want to know something about me? Growing up I was quite shy, quite, didn’t have much to say. Today I feel called to lead, to speak, to communicate, inspire, and consider my self chatty. It’s nothing I’ve done on my own but He took my weaknesses and is transforming it into my strengths. —- What is it about yourself that you’re not feeling enough of today? And to that I say....get up earlier! 😉 Look, we all have the same 24 hours in our day. For most of my life, I woke up at the last minute possible to jump in the shower and be out the door. My mornings were a complete whirlwind of emotion with my kids, hustle and stress. When I had time to workout, it was in the evenings....and then often, I’d tell myself that I didn’t have time. Heck, I remember thinking I didn’t have time for a lot of things back then. And when I look back, I had so much more free time than I do now. #perspective

I was the queen of excuses in my brain. But, when it all boiled down to it, I had to decide to make time for what was important. How many hours a day do we scroll social media, watch mindless TV, or do other activities that could be replaced with something more productive? Getting up early allows me to start my day right (workout and quiet time) and sets the pace and tone for the rest of my day.

I know it’s not easy (especially in the beginning!), but I’d encourage you to try just 15 min at a time. Your body won’t know the difference! .
No matter what you are struggling to make time for in life, that morning routine will change your world. I dare you to try it!

  • Literally Emma's face as we unwrapped each of the kid's special ornaments this year! We have a 2nd tree upstairs with all of their handmade and gifted ornaments. It's covered in "Baby's 1st Christmas" and Princesses and Star Wars and Minnie Mouse and Trains and toddler handprints and.. it is one of my most prized possessions. (Emma has the most sentimental heart, the absolute sweetest 💕) Do you have a separate tree for all the kid things?

Dengang jeg traf valget om ikke at få en operation i ryggen for at forsøge at fikse min diskusprolaps - der traf jeg det rigtige valg for mig. 
Og nogle gange må jeg minde mig selv om, at det ikke kun handler om progression og større og flottere tal i løft - men om at det vigtigste er, at jeg ikke længere tager stærke smertestillende piller og at jeg uden at tænke over det samler varer, hestepærer og mine børn op ❤️ Health is wealth - virkeligt!

  • This handsome boy learned all about moving up to the Young Men's program in our church tonight. He will get to go to the Temple and pass sacrament! He wasn't loving the idea of going tonight but had fun once we were there. He apparently thought we'd all be sitting in a circle and he'd have to talk 😂😂😂. He does not like attention drawn to him lol, so he's not very excited about passing sacrament. I cant believe I'm going to have a kid old enough to be in the Young Mens program. 😱 What a great Sunday! How was your Sunday?

  • .... it started with one Shampoo/Conditioner sample, I loved it, wanted it, & so I started this to get the 30% discount. I mean —I love discounts so why not?!!
Then I thought🤔..... this gig could give us an extra $ to travel more, safe for retirement, ease the burden on hubs.....I can work right from my phone wherever we are🙌🏽!! I soon realized that this could be so much more and I began to dream bigger

Now ——Fast forward —3 years. This side hustle retired me from my Dental Hygiene job, I have my #Cadillac paid for, I can work from wherever, i got to travel with my husband for FREE.  Then tragedy hit...my husband was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.  I was able to be by my husband’s side as he battled this horrible beast.  After a year of spending countless  hours, weeks, months, in the hospital by his side, my husband past away.  Now, I’m able to grieve on my time without having to worry about clocking in, explaining myself to a boss, crying on the job.  4 years ago, I listened to the voice within. I said yes to a bottle of shampoo, I had no idea that my  life would be turned upside down but God did.  He put me right here with Monat to provide for me, to give me time freedom, financial freedom, a team of amazing women who support me, pray for me and have held me up in the hardest of times and for that I am so thankful - ........

The biggest difference between the picture on the right and left is insecurity. On the left, I was a mom to 4 and almost 2 year old boys, a member of a running club—training for a marathon, my nutrition was all over the place. I couldn’t seem to figure out how to get in shape without spending excessive amounts of time at the gym, agonizing over my food choices with guilt and shame, and not being able to find something sustainable. .

  • I’m so thankful that God blessed me with baby #4 and babies #1, #2, & #3. I’ve tried to be a good mama with all my babies but I do look back and have regrets. One is having patience and just slowing down and looking at this beautiful life I’ve been given. It just seems like I’ve gotten better at this with each one and I know how precious time is and just how fast it goes. I carry this guy on my hip most of the day which is probably the reason why my back hurts all the time. Thankful for all the learning moments since 2008 when my oldest was born. ❤️#momto4 #stayathomeschoolingmom #cyrusdenver #momlife

  • In honor of National Adoption Month - Our adoptions of AJ (July 2014) and Emma (September 2016).
I quickly realized that our stories are much to long for a single post. It can be summed up by this - Adopting from foster care was the most brutal and heart wrenching, yet beautiful and holy experiences I have ever walked through... I was the one who said, "I could never do that." But I also had never been so sure of something in my life, once God started putting it on our hearts. We went into AJ's case feeling led to grow our family by adoption. We went into Emma's case simply saying, "We can foster again. There are babies who need a safe and loving home and our family says Yes." Both of their cases ended up as adoptions, and being a few years down the road now, I am in awe of the plans God had for our family and humbled beyond words can explain to carry the title of "adoptive mom." It doesn't end at this court hearing. It will be a lifelong journey of walking beside our girls as they learn about and process their stories. People will often comment that we are "such a blessing" to foster and adopt or what an "amazing" thing we did.. I can assure you that we mess up on the daily, just like any other parent. We don't always get this parenting thing right, much less adoptive parenting! We are no more amazing than you. And the honor of serving and loving them is blessing upon blessing TO US, as God uses it to continue to grow and shape us into the people He created us to be. Every praise goes to Him and the work He has done. #nationaladoptionmonth

  • Hvorfor træner jeg egentlig?

Da jeg startede med at træne, var det mest af frygt! Jeg var endelig kommet ned på en vægt, som jeg havde det ok med efter mange års overvægt og jeg var hysterisk bange for at tage på. Derfor løb jeg. Jeg løb mig til en god skinnebensbetændelse og en endnu større frygt for at tage på. 
En dag samlede jeg efter et større tilløb en håndvægt op. Og har aldrig rigtigt lagt den fra mig igen. Det føltes rart og kontrolleret (lige pånær min flirt med crossfit - men hvis man er bare mikroskopisk mere fornuftig end mig, er det en fantastisk sport!). Undervejs var endnu en graviditet og jeg fik Lady - det skete ved brug af ivf og jeg tog nogle kilo på, der stadig sidder nogle af på (muligvis er nogle af dem byttet ud med muskler - stærkere er jeg i hvert fald blevet!). Noget har altså ændret sig undervejs i mit hovede og jeg løber ikke længere væk fra noget, men går i stedet med tunge lunges hen mod noget. Træning er blevet en fast del af mig og mit liv og nu også mit professionelle virke ❤️

  • I’d be a morning person if it wasn’t for that darn snooze button just sitting there, begging me to use it… and no one telling me not to!! 😭 (A few more minutes won’t hurt, right? I mean, sleep is important!) I’ll get my rest this morning, and just move my workout to this evening. 😴

It was undeniable, though: whenever I got up and did something for myself (like working out before everyone else was up and at ‘em), I felt AMAZING and didn’t regret it ONE BIT!

All I needed was to snag a few KEY ingredients: a virtual “sisterhood” to be my cheerleaders, and a coach. 👯🧡 Suddenly, I wasn’t just fighting the snooze button for myself… but a group of people who were waiting on me!! Now I can show up for them AND me!!! 💪 💪

  • Would be 37 weeks today. But they are a week old instead. What a crazy journey compared to my single pregnancies. Some days even getting into bed made me feel out of breath.   • When they were little, I remember driving 20 minutes (often in traffic) to the gym, unbuckling car seats, dragging them into the childcare, where the room was filled with snotty nosed children 😆, and forcing them to stay for an hour while I got my workout in. Each visit cost me about $9. I did this for several years before I said enough is enough. Instead of the gym being a positive experience, it became an expensive and stressful experience for me and my kids.

I am so glad that I’ve moved my workouts home. They cost me $8/mo for my membership, my kids can workout beside me (my girls love joining me on the weekends), or do their own thing. No childcare, no germs, no excuses. I get the accountability through my challenge group, as well as nutrition support, meal plans, recipes and shopping lists. Best of all, I get results.

When people tell me they have a gym membership, my first response is always, “that’s awesome! How’s it working for you?” I have nothing against the gym, and when my kids are older, I may take my workouts there (loaded on the app as my pocket personal trajner). But at this point in my life, these home workouts are exactly what I need. And in my last year in my 30’s, I can honestly say that I’m in the best shape of my life. You can’t argue with results. 💪🏼

  • Weeeellll here it is...my season to build without going overboard with fat! The picture on left was a day or so before my last competition on Sept 7, the picture on the right was this week. I’m 11 weeks into the off season (#improvementseason) and have been fluctuating between 137 and 140 for the last 2 months. I realized today that I suddenly feel like an “Athlete” again! I know that we are athletes during prep too, but I often feel much more like I am a warrior trying to survive a battle...fragile, but determined and fighting.  With my nutrition increased and extra weight on my body I feel strong and fueled—-Athletic! I am lifting weights with focus and intention, truly visualizing my weak body parts activating and growing. I want to compete again in 2020, but not quite sure when...for now I’m content to see how far I can push my strength and muscle growth. ♥️ Happy Friday! #reversetransformation #grow #improvementseason #fitover40 #momswholift #momto4 #npc #npcbikini #npcbikinicompetitor #npcmasters #grateful #athlete #justkeepswimming

  • What if I told you I used to be afraid to look deeper, beneath the surface?? 💜 I was (**cringe) LONELY but could never put my finger on where this feeling was coming from and felt like I had no reason to be unhappy. I mean, I had a family and a teaching job I loved and that should fill my cup, right? 💜 I lacked a group of REAL best friends. But what I didn't realize was how much I was missing that time to belly laugh (**soooo good for the soul), drink too much wine and leave inspired to do BIG things. 💜 I was afraid to say I wasn't fulfilled. But if I'm being honest, I had lost my luster, given up on my goals and lacked purpose in my pursuit.

I realized that if I wanted an extraordinary life, I'd have to be willing to face the darkness to let in the light.

And sometimes, you don't know you've lost something until you find it again. 🙌🙌 #teamworkmakesthedreamwork #friends

  • I’ll be honest, for the majority of my life, I always believed but I would just have to settle for less than my dreams....almost as if I couldn’t allow myself to dream big because I knew it just wouldn’t come true. I am a teacher, I married a teacher, and our income has always been fixed. It doesn’t matter how well we teach, how long we teach or how hard we work, there is a cap on our salary, and no room for growth.
.
Furthermore, I always believed that I would be dictated by a bell schedule. I would get to school around 7 AM, and not be able to leave until 3 PM. And for many years, this is what I did. I would roll into my kids daycare parking lot, after school, absolutely exhausted—feeling like I didn’t have even one more ounce of me to give. And in the evenings, it took every ounce of my energy to drive them to activities, make dinner, give them a bath, put them to bed, and start the whole thing over again the next day. It felt a little bit like Groundhog’s Day.
.
And then I was approached about the opportunity to start my own business.To  partner with a wellness company and host monthly accountability groups where I helped women lose weight, dial in on their nutrition, and start living a healthier life. Over the last 4 1/2 years, Ive built this business to a point where I’ve surpassed my teaching income. Where, I’m able to teach because I love it, not because I have to. I’ve reached a point where I was able to drop to a part-time schedule and give myself time in the afternoon to work my business, be in my kids classrooms, grocery shop, and take care of daily activities.
.
The best part? I feel fulfilled. I have connected with the most amazing women who inspire and motivate me. I have found a passion outside of the day to day grind that allows me to be creative, purposeful and finally dream big!
.
Look, this business does take hard work, but anyone (literally ANYONE) can do it. If you have a dream for your life and your family, if you desire something more, if you are wanting to connect with women, find purpose or just need accountability, this might be for you!!

  • So I've been working with a couple of ladies who are between workout programs and between goals. I proposed this idea and they LOVED IT!!! The idea is this... Do the following by Sunday Nov. 24th... Pick a workout program you want to try.
Decide which nutrition plan you want to follow.
Decide what time if day works best for you and schedule it on a calendar.
Do meal planning.
Get your space and mindset straight.

Tell me your plan for all of the above.
THEN... Take all of next week to enjoy family, friends,  and Thanksgiving. 
On Sat or Sun after Thanksgiving do your shopping and meal prepping.

Monday Dec 2nd start your program of choice with Team Fit Happens and help hold us all accountable.

Just rolling along like 'hhmmm, is that a spider? I should throw it on the wolverine behind me.'
But actually I was thinking of what was the least way of hurting my elbows.
My head band had gotten caught in the barbed wire as I was trying to transition into a different roll, good thing it wasn't my tank as I felt there was hardly any space to do anything but roll and boy, did I ever get dizzy!
What I really like about spartan race other than giving me a goal to train for every few months and helps me keep on track as much as possible with 4 kids to keep up with, is its similar to lifes obstacles. 
Some obstacles in life you cant approach as you did the last obstacle, but it takes the same amount of willpower and determination. Some are easily achieved and others you must be wise in your decisions and go through them slowly with precision. 
Even in the swing of things you gotta just keep going, putting one foot in front of the other and sometimes just whispering to yourself 'just keep moving, just keep moving' as I find myself doing these days. 
I appreciate all the support from all of you on Instagram and those of you I get to see in person! You guys truly help me keep going even when I dont see the next step!

Jeg prøver at følge med, men lige nu hjælper jeg bedst ved at sørge for ungerne og gemme noget mad til han kommer hjem fra gymmet sen eftermiddag/ tidlig aften ❤️ Men jeg siger Jer, det her gym bliver sindssygt! Det er ved at blive indrettet og det bliver smukt og med noget at rive i for alle der gider have noget at rive i 😍

Jeg troede i rigtig mange år, at jeg skulle stå på en scene - selvom jeg faktisk har ret meget sceneskræk.

  • This photo was taken about 30 minutes before a wood floor sample pallet slipped out of my trunk and came crashing down on my toe. 🙈 It’s amazing how one event can alter your life in just an instant. I mean, that sounds pretty dramatic about a potentially broken toe, but it’s my right foot, so I can’t drive, I can’t really walk, and I can’t do much to care for my kids. I certainly cannot workout (which is HARD for me to take in), and I’m supposed to rest. I’m SO not good at sitting and letting others care for me.
.
But, here I am. .
.
Life throws us curve balls and we have to learn to adjust and adapt. I can’t control the pain in my foot, but I can control my mindset, my positivity and my gratitude. I am thankful that this pain is temporary and I should be able to recover just fine. I’m counting my blessings and leaning into my challenge group for support and encouragement while I recover.

Any advice from those of you who have broken/injured your toe or foot? How long were you out? The inability to drive is the hardest part!! 😭😭
  • This photo was taken about 30 minutes before a wood floor sample pallet slipped out of my trunk and came crashing down on my toe. 🙈 It’s amazing how one event can alter your life in just an instant. I mean, that sounds pretty dramatic about a potentially broken toe, but it’s my right foot, so I can’t drive, I can’t really walk, and I can’t do much to care for my kids. I certainly cannot workout (which is HARD for me to take in), and I’m supposed to rest. I’m SO not good at sitting and letting others care for me.

    But, here I am. .
    .
    Life throws us curve balls and we have to learn to adjust and adapt. I can’t control the pain in my foot, but I can control my mindset, my positivity and my gratitude. I am thankful that this pain is temporary and I should be able to recover just fine. I’m counting my blessings and leaning into my challenge group for support and encouragement while I recover.

  • In these crazy carbon copy days of early motherhood, mentally taking account of the all the little moments is my favorite thing to do, especially when it’s so easy for them to blur into each other without doing so. I intentionally taking mental snapshots and audio recordings of the giggles and silly faces and heart checks to give me something to go back to when I’m worn and weary and doubting the day. Stellie’s trying out this crazy new giggle. Serenella’s sweet smizing with her magical sparkly eyes. Luca’s gap toothed smile as he’s loosing a mouthful of teeth at the same time. Izzie picking out every song she knows on the keyboard as she’s discovered she can play by ear. The entire family pausing to watch a favorite show together after dinner, and reading a stack of books after lessons are finished. Don’t get me wrong. The chaos is still there. In boat loads. But I can’t let it drown out the tender moments. That what I hold the nearest to my heart to pick me up when I feel like hiding out in the pantry with my favorite Lily’s chocolate bar. Those are the sweet spots life is made of!🥰

  • I've always had friends 👯‍♀️ but this is SO different.

And not because I'm not close with other friends (**we're REALLY close) but having this sisterhood of women is something so gratifying.

We talk personal development books that have changed our lives, business strategies that have created freedom for us to raise our families and life-long goals that we're achieving.We hold each other accountable on every goal...in all areas of life.

  • Jeg havde sådan en træningsdag i dag, hvor jeg følte mig lidt offbeat er det bedste ord, jeg kan komme i tanke om lige nu. Ikke slap men ikke rigtigt stærk. Ikke dårlig men ikke gennemført god. 
Men jeg var der og jeg fik gennemført det jeg skulle. 
Det vil jeg gerne hjælpe andre med. 
At acceptere at ikke alle træninger er flyvende. Nogle gange er det også bare træning. Og det er godt nok og du kommer til at mærke forbedringerne en anden dag ☺️

  • Many people think I'm the best mom ever, that I've got it all figured out and I'm totally ROCKING IT! Ok ok they really don't, because let's face it NO ONE DOES! You see, being a mom is alot of falling on your face, getting things wrong, apologizing when you lose your ish, and learning what works best for your family....despite what someone else might think is best. I don't have it all together, I get mad more then I'd care to admit, my house is not the cleanest (seriously you need to give me 24 hour notice before you show up), but I ADORE my kids...I'm pretty sure they adore me too and that, my friend, is priceless.

Moms, you're doing a great job! Your kids love you, and at the end of the day that's what's important. Tag a friend who is a great mom and tell her why!

  • Moriah made me a mom 11 years ago at the age of 23. She first showed me how to truly love and care for someone unconditionally and sacrificially. I started my journey of motherhood with her, and I will continue it with her on the other side of heaven. In the meantime, she NEVER leaves my heart. * 
I also have my dear Jadon - who makes me laugh and teaches me interesting facts every single day. * 
My little Olivia - who is patient, gentle (and a side of fierce), and my little helper who keeps us all in check! * 
My sweet Shane who brings me so much joy and reminds me that God knows what we need so much better than we do (since he is our post-vasectomy baby) 😆. *

  • At være mor er ikke kun glæde ved at se dit barn vokse op, sjove ord og sætninger og kærlige smil og kram - at være mor er, at blive skreget ind i hovedet, når en af ungerne synes, at du er den dummeste i verden, det er daglige kampe for at få teenageren i skole, det er skænderier og det er sorte render under øjnene, som ingen make up i verden kan dække! Og næste dag står den på repeat 🙈👍 Heldigvis er kærligheden større end frustrationerne ❤️ Heldigvis er der nogle dage, der er vildt meget bedre end andre. Og det bedste er de små glimt, hvor der er åbent helt ind til sjælen på dit barn, hvor du ser, at noget af det, du prøver at fylde på, er trængt ind og du ved, at det nok skal gå!
