19 months old. 19 freaking months old. .
The sweet girl has grown up so much in the last month, and is turning into such a little person now.

One that runs, laughs, is cheeky, demands to dress herself (horribly I might add), and one who loves everyone around her with every bone in her body.
She is the sweetest little girl, and gives the best cuddles.
She also gives the best open palmed slaps. And by “best” I totally mean the worst. It’s the pits. Slaps suck.
.
Oh, and she dances with more enthusiasm than I do when I desperately chase chocolate crumbs in the pantry after a particularly rough day.

Why Eating Fruits Is So Important?
'
Children now days are eating so many highly processed snacks that are nutritionally poor and a threat to their health. We adults do exactly the same thing.

Fruits are naturally sweet to taste, low in calories, fat, sodium and cholesterol. They contain many vitamins and nutrients that would reduce risk of various health related problems.
'
Eating more fruit yourself will make you a good role model for your kids.
'
A healthy diet that includes fruit can also increase your child’s focus in the classroom so he is able to learn new information, as well as retain what he’s learned.
'
Eating lots of fruit lowers the risk of developing disease
Fruit makes you strong
Water content in fruit makes your skin soft and well hydrated
All fruit has antioxidants which combats free radicals
Fruit is high in fiber, helping ward off fats and cholesterol from the body
Fruit is nutrient dense, and provide our bodies with vitamins and minerals
Fruit makes you glow
Fruit boosts brain power
Fruit makes you feel energized and healthy
Fruit keeps your digestive system happy
'
Throughout the year there are plenty of fruits readily available, but seasonally different fruits do come into the market. Making our kid’s at least eat one fruit a day is better than none at all.
'
I try and feed my kid’s 3 fruits daily. Their favourite morning fruit is a banana. Post that I always pack an apple in their tiffin or carry it with me when we are out. Snack time I try and feed them the seasonal fruits such as mango, water melon, strawberry, cherries, etc.
'
Most days they only end up eating two but that is also enough and better than no fruits at all.
Try feeding your child different fruits. Google up different recipes and presentations on how you can serve it to them, so that they enjoy it.
xx

  • BULLYING - it's that time of the year when children are going back to school and will be making a lot of new memories. As much as i'm happy for them, i'm also a little concerned. With new grade, comes a lot of new experiences. If that experience brings in happiness, curiosity and creativity then nothing like it but if it's gonna bring emotional break-downs, stress and anxieties then am definitely worried. So here i'm, silently hoping and praying that they dont come across any BULLY.
.
I have been preparing my kids to to cope with it but i strongly feel parents should teach their kids to stop bullying. Here's how: .
👥 Keep your own behaviour in check: As brutal as it may sound but it starts from home. Children do what children see. If it's common in your house to yell, name-call or abuse, then obviously they will learn similar behaviour and may act that out in different scenarios.
👥 Teach your child tolerance: Tell them it's okay to have a difference of opinion. And it can be addressed without getting into an arguement or fight. Tell them to accept people as they are and who they are! Changing them as per their liking is wrong! Tell them not to judge or name call their friends on the basis of their color, religion or outlook.
.👥 Teach them to be kind and empathetic: Passing hurtful comments or being unkind to your friends is not cool! Showing off or being snobbish is NOT classy. .👥Set boundaries: tell them threatening children or indulging in any kind of physical voilence is not acceptable. Monitor their behaviour and let them know the consequences. Usually children with aggressive nature resorts to physical voilence.
.👥 Show love: Check what triggers your child temperment? Often children with lack of attention and affection grew up to be an emotionally challenged person. Hence show love & offer comfort! Encourage and appreciate them often.
.
As a parent it's your responsibility to raise a thoughtful and kindhearted child so figure out ways to teach them kindness. Lastly, always encourage your children to stand with the weakest & reach out to the victims when needed! #saynotobullying #walkthetalk #parenting #mommybloggers #stopbullying #moms #pakistanimom

  • *HEAD PROTECTION*

As parents we r often apprehensive that our baby might fall, get hurt, bruised & injured, this anxiety is normal. But the fact is,this is how ur baby grows. However, there is one thing that u should be very vigilant about is ‘ur baby falling on the head’. I bet almost every mom have gone thru baby falling from bed, couch, table, chair etc. Although the baby’s head is protected enough by bones n skull n of course by gods blessing,we should be very attentive n careful when it comes to head injury,as it might cause some major damages if it’s not ur lucky day. While there is nothing to worry about small falls, major falls needs to be handled with extreme care. Do the below if:
1. No serious injury - Just pick them, comfort n console the crying baby, check if any bruises or bumps appear & dab an ice pack to reduce swelling.
2. Unconscious - Do not shake or move them much, movements after head/spine injury can cause complications, just lift gently & rush to the nearest doctor.
3. Seizures - Turn them on their side keeping the neck straight & keep the air way open.Seek medical help immediately.
4. Bleeding/Vomit - A normal vomit may not be serious but blood through vomit & nose can be an internal injury, Go see the doctor.
5. Fall from height - Bruising & clear watery fluid oozing from eyes n ears, rush to the emergency room, it could be a skull fracture.
6. Dilation of pupils - A big warning of head trauma, the moving of brain on to nerves that control the eyes. Rush to the ER.
7. Refusing to eat/Excessive sleeping/Prolonged quietness/inconsolable/Irritability - Show ur paediatrician if these signs persist.
Nevertheless, how much ever u protect ur child, remember accidents do happen. Never curse yourself for being a bad parent. U r the best ur child can have.

  • 🇺🇸Children and most grown ups love ball pits. Are we wrong? 😂😂
Benefits are:
- improves focus and concentration. Hide a few smaller balls and have children use their tactile and visual skills to find the balls.
- Cooperative Play.  Ball pits can also encourage cooperative play and social skills when two children are working on an activity in the ball pit together.
- Eye-Hand Coordination.
Ball pits are a fantastic therapeutic tools to work on body awareness, motor planning, proprioception, and tactile input.  Ball pits can provide endless therapeutic benefits!
Children have the opportunity to exercise their sensory system all while being mindful, relaxed and most importantly, having FUN. 🇧🇷As crianças e a maioria dos adultos amam piscina de bolinhas. Estamos erradas? 😂😂
Benefícios são:
- melhora o foco e a concentração.

  • There are about 940 Saturday’s from when your child is born to when they leave for college. I made a pact with myself to do more with Jagger and Lennon when Christian isn’t home. It’s so easy to just stay home and wait to do something when it’s easier but let me tell you how rewarding it has been to say yes more. Going to the beach alone with two small kids sounds like a horror movie and THE SAND IN MY CAR 😫??! Then I turned my “no way” to “let’s do it” and I 100% recommend trying it as the memories you create will never be forgotten. Your kids will be a little bit older tomorrow so tell your mind to stop overthinking and just do it- those little smiles will be worth it 💕 | @showmeyourmumu
