  • Has anyone ever told you to just "take some deep breaths" or "just breathe" when you're anxious or having a panic attack? How did you feel when they said this? Annoyed? Frustrated? Like they just didn’t get it?!!! I know it would really get to me. I would think "how's that going to help me? I feel physically sick, overwhelmed, and my mind won't stop racing. I feel out of control and I can't cope" how are a few slow breaths going to help me? Seriously?" But then I was taught something about the breath that completely changed my life. And with time and dedicated practice my anxiety and panic attacks became less and less severe and less and less frequent, until they stopped all together. I think I’m pretty lucky, my skin ‘s alright ” however with old age and years of putting chemicals on my face, it’s time to think about how I’m taking care of myself holistically.
.
I’m caring for my skin from the inside. By taking wholefood capsules everyday that are basically veggies/fruits + berries. 🍎🥦🍓
.
My mindset routine...well it’s a working process n it will always be - I do want to be my best version. Yes - I gets hurt easily, fall into my limited beliefs from time to time.
.
But I practice a deeper self care connection which consisted of EFT, journaling, visualisation plus surrounding myself with things, people, music and places that I love. .

What do I need to let go? 
What lights me up? 
What can I do more for my health, wealth and heart? 
What sort of support do I need? 
Who can support me in a deeper level? .

  • love yourself
by understanding yourself

some days i’m really feisty.
some days i’m more emotional.
some days i’m riddled with insecurities while others i’m soaring with confidence.
some days are much harder than others,
but as the years have passed i have learned about my workings. it has become easier to notice when i’m imbalanced and what adjustments I need to make. whether that be more grounding to work with anxiety or pure movement to burn the fire inside. it’s all been one journey learning to love all parts of myself. even the parts we may perceive as “bad.”
so step away from the need to “fix” yourself and just allow the space to understand yourself more. ❤️

1) Vitamin D: Getting enough of this hormone (that’s right hormone - not a Vitamin!) is essential to maintaining a healthy immune system. ☀️

2) Eye Health: research has found that among American children with two myopic parents, those who spent at least two hours per day outdoors were ~4X less likely to be nearsighted than those who spent less than 1 hour per day outside. 👁

3) Improved Sleep: Our sleep patterns are regulated by an internal clock called the circadian rhythm.  Our circadian rhythms are naturally tied to the sun’s schedule. 😴

4) Clean Air: indoor pollutants are normally 2 - 5 (and up to 100) times higher than outdoor pollutants.  According to the California Air Resources Board, “indoor air-pollutants are 25-62% greater than levels outdoors.”

5) Grounding: The theory of “grounding” (letting your bare skin touch the earth), states that because the earth is negatively charged, and has a greater negative charge than your body, we absorb earth’s electrons, which has an anti-inflammatory effect. 🚶🏻‍♀️

7) Psychological Health: Spending time in nature has been linked to improved attention spans (both short and long term), boosts in serotonin (the feel good neurotransmitter) and shows increased activity in the parts of the brain responsible for empathy, emotional stability, and love. 🧠
