  • One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.

After dreaming about such an accomplishment for millennia, humankind moved its first steps on the Moon exactly 50 years ago today. Folia Magazine celebrates the anniversary of the first moon landing with this gorgeous illuminated game card: this Moon is one of the 17 tarots left from a set that originally comprised of 78 cards. The set, the "Tarots of Charles VI", probably never actually belonged to the King of France: the name is believed to have derived from an erroneous interpretation of a book of account, which stated that, in 1392, Charles VI had purchased a set of game cards from the artist Jacquemin Gringonneur. The 17 cards, however, have been dated around the end of the 15th century. The artist was probably Italian, perhaps from Ferrara or Bologna. "Moon", game card from the "Tarots of Charles VI", RESERVE BOITE ECU-KH-24, 1475-1500, Bibliothèque nationale de France, département Estampes et photographie, Paris. . .

  • This is how i imagine myself while sewing, the fact that I most often sits in a sofa, half-heartedly watching series or movies, tired and full of panic before an event, is something I preferably not admit for myself...😁
.

I have though some BIG NEWS for you. All the way from february until now I have been working on a video. That project took way longer than I ever expected, and since I've had a non-existing network the last couple of weeks, I haven't had the oppurtunity to publish it until now. Many of you have asked about my kirtles, and now I can happily announce that that is exactly what this video is about! You will find the link in my profile or just simply search on youtube.
Now I will continue to (panic) sew before Battle of Wisby. Wish me luck...
