I’ve been thinking a lot lately how my life has gone through a ton of phases where I’m am all in for specific things at specific times.
Ex:
1. High school trying to get recruiting for D1 lacrosse
2. College phases: trying to become a starter, working to get a 4.0 gpa, working to get inducted into the psychology honors program
3. Masters - trying to find a school to student teach at
4. Getting a teaching job- applying to over 100 schools because I knew what I wanted and I wanted to be a teacher right out of my masters program
5. Adulting- to improve my students test scores, get in the best shape of my life and finically not be in debt!

My point is ..... reflect on your life! You too have been all in one things before right ?! So why do we still put limitations on ourselves ? 🤷🏼‍♀️ “no... I can’t lose that weight I want..... OR NO.... I can’t start a bizz..... OR , no .... I can’t find a way to travel the world!”

Sister! You can!!!! You have and you will! Stop limiting your self and get into action! Make the mind switch and take the first initial step to taking your life back 🤘🏽

  • Have you ever heard the expression “never ask a barber whether they think you need a haircut”? It’s one of my favourites and basically means, “don’t ask someone if you need a product or service they sell”. ⁣

It's about conflict of interest and you see it all the time in marketing. ⁣

Ask a Facebook Ads expert what the best approach is, they’ll probably say Facebook Ads. ⁣
Ask an email marketing guru, they’ll likely say email marketing.⁣
Someone who prints flyers will likely say print marketing. ⁣
So it goes on and on. ⁣

Another expression I heard a few years back that had a big impression on me was when I heard @garyvee say “Everything works”. ⁣
⁣
Think about it. ⁣
⁣
Why do people still hand out flyers for shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival?⁣
Why do utility companies still have stalls in the supermarket trying to get you to switch your gas and electric to them?⁣
Why do people still go door to door? ⁣
Or cold call?⁣
⁣
Simple. ⁣
Because it works. ⁣
Everything works. ⁣
⁣
My personal view on this is a bit more nuanced. ⁣
⁣
Everything works...to a degree. ⁣
⁣
Some things might just work better than the next. ⁣
Some might lead to 1000 sales, or 500. Or 10. ⁣
⁣
Some things might just not work as well for you specifically. ⁣
⁣
My view? Try different things. ⁣
⁣
See what your competitors are doing. ⁣
See what companies you admire in different industries are doing. ⁣
Think about how you have been attracted to companies, brands and influencers in the past.⁣

Try different things. ⁣

Everything works. ⁣

Find what works well for you.⁣

I seem to live in utter chaos, with different to-do lists in different places, with a whole bunch of notepads on the go at all times.

BUT, it seems to work! I really don’t know how, but it does.

What does that mean?

It means to find something that works for you. There a bunch of tools online, and a bunch of people telling us how to stay organised.

Don’t try to force yourself to stick to these.

Do whatever works best for you.
