  • READ this 👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽 Today's encouragement is brought to you by this beauty! (Mask and all she's beautiful inside and out). I had the privilege of discipling her and she now serves in our medical ministry and on my admin team.

She's IN the storm every day but is encouraged!

Another COVID nursing day...let the donning steps continue, more layers to go.😷🙌🏾 My heart truly breaks for these patients and their family.

A common question I get is "Aren't you afraid?" Answer..."YES!!" Although, I have a huge, story shifting "BUT" to my answer.
-
Mark 4:35-41 details Jesus calming the storm. Verse 37-the storm is raging and the disciples are uncertain that they will live or die. Verse 38 begins with "But, he (Jesus) was in the stern..." Jesus goes on to lovingly correct and remind them of BELIEVING in Him and having faith, then he calms the storm.

Y'all...what storm is raging? COVID-19...yep...marriage trouble, homeschooling frustration, health battle, income and job loss or just an overall life plan alteration that you did NOT see for yourself? The list of scenarios are endless... Do you have a BUT behind the circumstance?

Verse 38..."BUT Jesus was in the stern (boat)..." Is Jesus in your life? Is He Lord of it? Then...even with justified fears, the future HAS hope.
-
He can calm the storm and bridge you through, but even if that is not in His plan, the hope is ALWAYS a presence with God.
-
As grim as that sounds and the anxieties that arise when I think on that for my family... My hope in Christ is my BUT to my answer.
-
I believe in Him and trust that His "no" or "yes" is my security in the uncertainty. I can therefore better care for my COVID patients and focus on the job ahead of me.

  • When traveling, do you always carry a tripod? I often find myself rarely shooting with a tripod so it's always a debate to chose whether or not to bring it. Tell me your thoughts!-
