- ❤️Permanent Make-Up is a two-step process❤️
Why does Semi-Permanent Make-Up require two sessions? This is a common question. The Touch-Up Treatment is done 4-6 weeks after your initial treatment. Many clients on their visit ask for subtle results without changing the original shape too much or going too dark. On the Touch-Up session you will have spent 6 weeks with your new brows and now you might want a bolder shape, more density or perhaps a darker colour.
In addition to the benefit of having a chance to perfect the shape, colour or density of the original work, the Touch-Up session has other important purposes. There are many factors which can affect pigment retention, making it hard to predict how well the pigment will hold after your first treatment. These factors may include: skin type, how well the aftercare instructions are followed, exposure to sun, water, or skin care products during the healing period and certain medications or health conditions. If the pigment doesn't retain well, it's easy to reinforce the work during the Touch-Up session. Some skin just needs two applications to hold pigment.
Very minor changes can make a very big difference in the final result. It's well worth coming in for the Touch-Up session to discuss your options. Each session is equally important and you will be very happy with your results!.

- Tomorrow: Lunchtime Concert, University of Limerick, 1.15pm, free to attend and open to all
Emma Langford is a former BA and MA student of the Irish World Academy.
She completed her BA in Voice and Dance longer ago than she cares to admit and more recently completed a masters in Community Music, while also producing her acclaimed debut album, Quiet Giant.
Her songs linger in a liminal space between folk, jazz and traditional Irish nuance, and have drawn comparisons to the likes of Joni Mitchell, Nick Drake and Janis Ian. Her presence and timbre however are unique and best experienced live.
She is joined on a lunchtime concert at her Alma Mater by Alec Brown on cello. Alec is no stranger to the Academy, where the two met. A proficient performer and composer in his own right, he has been by her side as friend and band-mate since the release of her self-titled EP in 2016. 📸 Oisín McHugh

- Little foodies are welcome at #TheButtery too. 🍴
Spoil them with homemade dishes, hot choccies and mini stacks (just be ready for things to get a little messy). 😊 📷 @emeobrien
