  • It can be hard to balance gym work and your pitch sessions but it is manageable. The main thing to remember is that you are a footballer, not a bodybuilder. So football training should always come first, and should not be negatively impacted by your gym work.

You want to focus on quality over quantity. Keep your rep ranges row, and lift heavy on your compound lifts like your squat and deadlift. 1-2 times a week is enough for gym work, but you need to be focused for the duration of the session. Keep your leg session as far away from your game as possible, so if you are a part time player who plays on a Saturday, maybe work your legs on Monday. Then keep your upper body/supplemental exercises for Wednesday.

Make sure your recovery is on point too. This allows you to maintain a higher training load, and in return make more improvements. Keep hydrated,  eat for performance, and get enough sleep.

Millads har et værelse på 10 m2, men højt til loftet. Derfor var det oplagt, at bygge et legehus over hans seng, så kubikmeterne blev udnyttet👍
Det gamle vindue blev fundet i genbrug og sikrer dagslys i legehuset. Millads elsker, at gå op og hilse på gæster ud af vinduet😊
Da Millads' yndlingsfarve er 💛, så måtte moderen overgive sig til den gule farve, selvom den stadig skær lidt i øjnene😆... Men Millads er glad = vigtigt👌

Huset bliver båret af en solid ramme af reglar og monteret med en del karmskruer🔩🔩🛠️🔩🔩🛠️🔩🔩🛠️🔩🔩
Derefter er der monteret en plade efter eget ønske som gulv ovenpå rammen.
Monter derefter en ny ramme af f.eks lægter på væggen tæt på loftet. Overvej om rammen skal være mindre end den underste, så der er plads til både hus og veranda.
Derefter kan brædder og evt vindue monteres.
Lav derefter gelænder til verandaen og husk at tænke sikkerhed ind👍
Brug gerne et billigt gulvtæppe på gulvet, så det føles hyggeligt at være i legehuse... Og pynt gerne op😉

Adductors- they bring that leg into your body and are super important for dynamic movements (cutting, sprinting, skating) but also muy important for things like squats and deadlifts.
.
A "groin injury" - strain of the adductors- is one of the most common sports injuries that occurs (adductor longus in particular). A recent-ish study that looked at the strength gains using the Copenhagen Adductor exercises and concluded this movement accounted for some 35% of eccentric strength gains. 👉🏻Remember, we love eccentric strength for dynamic movements.

Now, an eccentric movement might not be appropriate for all phases of healing so I'm giving a breakdown of a couple options including short lever vs long lever holds to get those adductors up to par before you train them eccentrically.

(most intense to least)📍side lying so forearm is supporting you📍 top leg goes onto a bench/chair (or partner holding above and below the knee) etc at about hip height📍 lift body upward driving through top leg while simultaneously lifting your lower leg so the feet touch

🎥Same set up, keep bottom leg on the ground to reduce intensity on top leg

🎥Similar set up but knee is in contact with the bench so movement becomes a short lever movement and takes the torque off knee📍lift bottom leg up to meet
