  • I finally finished assembling this dessert past midnight and I still had to wait for the jello to set.  I woke up super early today to clean since the home appraisal dude was coming and I needed everything to be copasetic.  When I opened the fridge this beauty was impatiently waiting for me to devour it!!! Guess what I had for breakfast??🤗

Thank you @hannah_nos_carbs for sharing this recipe!  Each bite has been 😋. Since I only had golden Lakanto I did half walnuts and half pecans as the base and went easy on the Lakanto since I don't like my treats to be too sweet anymore.  I think this is a 7x11 Pyrex and next time I need to go bigger and double the jello!  I had to scoop a good chunk of the fluff out to make sure I had space for the jello so you *know* I have to make the upside down version after I finish all this.😜

I'll preface this by saying, I don't think loading up on cheese sticks, fried chicken wings, processed meats etc is optimal for our health. Yes, we all want to look good, but there comes a point where health has to be the center piece. And I promise you, if you want that top 10% physique, eating whole foods will get you there much faster. With that said - here are the basics of a well rounded keto diet...

🥩Meats, eggs, and fish will be the focal point of your meals. Aim for fattier cuts of meat and fish and eat the whole egg. All will be solid sources of protein as well as healthy saturated and monounsaturated fats and cholesterol. **Before a certain dietary sect comes in preaching - modern research has shown cholesterol has no negative effects on cardiovascular health**

🍃Dark leafy veggies will be your go to for magnesium, potassium, zinc, and all kinds of other awesome nutrients. Plus, eating them with a fat source will 10x your nutrient absorption.

🥜Nuts and seeds are awesome go to snacks. I'm a fan of macadamia nuts and brazil nuts for their T boosting properties.

👍🏽Oils and butter is what you'll cook those delicious meats and veggies in. Stay away from canola oil, peanut oil, grapeseed oil, safflower oil, etc. Go for olive oil, avocado oil, coconut oil, grass fed butter and ghee. .

  • This is my new morning routine! Electrolytes, electrolytes, and more electrolytes!

For most of the 3+ years I have been keto I have tried to control my electrolytes by drinking lots of water, using pink salt, eating lots of avocado (magnesium & potassium), and lots of salmon (magnesium). But over the last couple months I started noticing more foot cramps even though I hadn't changed anything I was eating😫

@bonappetitmag recently posted this recipe to their site and it looked absolutely delicious. Since I was heading to the store anyway, I decided it was going to be for dinner.

The recipe calls for grilled scallions and Fresno chiles but I wasn’t able to find those specific chiles. I ended up using Anaheim peppers and a red bell pepper as a sub. Turned out quite tasty! It’s meant to be a party dish (feeds 8-10), but I’m keeping the leftovers for myself. 😋
