  • Trekking to Nongriat Village..
I have already mentioned how beautiful this trek was and how much fun we had, but what made this trek even more special was all the lovely people we met on the way..
When we travel with family or with a bunch of friends we don't usually interact with other travelers.. But this time since it was just me & @sujata_dec, we got out of our comfort zone and interacted with so many people on the way.. Initially it started with asking other trekkers who were on their way back about how long it'll take to reach.. Then it slowly extended to conversations about where they were from, about their trip, their upcoming travel plans, their family back home and so much more, at times sitting in little tea shops, or while stopping during the trek to catch our breaths, or while relaxing by the natural pools.. We talked with locals and asked hundreds of questions, we met so many families, we had a long chat with a lovely couple who had daughters our age back home, we trekked for an hour with a group of women from Ireland laughing our way as our legs were giving up, and we were inspired by a group of travelers in their 60s & 70s who seemed fitter than us!
I guess this is what travel is all about, not just clicking pretty pictures but making beautiful memories.. ❤️
