  • The best food is always at places that are not on Google maps 📍 Fresh mango pineapple juice and the Rolex (Chapati, Eggs, Onions, Green Pepper, and Chili Tomato) all for under $3! The Rolex is the perfect mix of savory with s little spice. Definitely check this place out if you are in Diani! 🇰🇪

  • Ready to be part of action like this? ⬆️ We have a very exciting announcement to share -- Bill Given will be leading a special "Guides Without Borders" group trip in January 2020 to @NjoziCamp, @EnaiduraLuxuryCamp and @BushmanPlains, and we have 6 spots available. **Check out the itinerary link in our bio & details below, and inquire via our website for more info.** 🌍🦁🐆 This is truly a trip you don't want to miss if you are a fan of The Wild Source and our Disruptive Empowerment model where we have empowered local guides to create special safari camps where the guides are Owners!⠀
.⠀
In January 2019, @bill_given_safari, the Founder of The Wild Source and Conservation Biologist, made a whirlwind tour to kick off the year with a quick visit to each of the camps we helped empower. It was such a proud and fulfilling experience that in January 2020 Bill has decided to open the opportunity to experience these special places with him firsthand on one extraordinary safari. ⠀
.⠀
This safari is about deep connections with amazing communities of people that own and work in these camps, experiencing three of the best wildlife locations in the world (Ndutu/Serengeti, Masai Mara, and the Okavango Delta), and a relentless dedication to game viewing with a focus on observing wildlife behavior. Of course, tremendous guiding throughout is a constant. ⠀
.⠀
Add to all of this a once in a lifetime event, as we deliver on a Maasai dream when we take legendary Kenyan guide, Ping, to Botswana for the first time - something he has wanted to do for more than 20 years and now it is going to happen as we introduce Maasai to Bushman.⠀

  • I was awestruck by the views we got to witness in Laikipia. This region is blessed with immense beauty, from the lowlands, knolls, gentle ridges, timid valleys, and from most places, the scenic backdrop of Mount Kenya, its peaks and the Aberdare Range.

  • It looks like Alamaya has bitten off a bit more than he can chew! He’s such a sweet boy, and was a great help to the Keepers last month. During one of their daily explorations of the Kibwezi Forest, the group found that wild elephants had pushed down a bunch of trees in the night, which were now impeding their path. Lima Lima, who usually leads the herd, saw this as a feast laid out specially for her and began snacking away. Alamaya, meanwhile, busied himself by picking up the branches and moving them aside. The young bull seemed to realize that the Keepers were trying to clear the path, and was eager to do his part.
