  • #kalechips Recently I made Kale Chips using Kurly Kale and • they • were • delicious! With a new delivery yesterday from Mama Earth Organics, I received 2 bunches of Lacinato (Black) Kale. So I made chips again! This is what I did: I tore up the Kale into bit’ish size pieces. Washed these pieces thoroughly. Knocked excess water off the Kale. [Aside: Some say to “thoroughly ‘dry’ the leaves after washing”, I say “thoroughly wash” is the most important task. It’s your ‘freewill’ though - so you choose. 😉 I didn’t feel the need cos the oven looked after it #minimalist ]. I set my oven to 225F.  I used “Convection Bake” setting, which was recommended. While my oven was heating up, I moved on over to my raw Kale station (I just made that up). I threw a bunch of clean torn up Kale pieces into a bowl and... that’s right... using my hands, I ‘massaged’ about 1/2 oz of Flax Oil (you can use olive oil or other favourite), a healthy pinch of Sea/Pink Salt + 2 TBSP’ish of Nutritional Yeast (NOT Brewers Yeast). Make sure it’s all mixed up nicely. [Tip: Taste a piece of the raw seasoned Kale! It actually tastes good ‘raw’ + you will be able to tell at this point whether you need more flavour... somewhere]. On 2 pans, I laid out the Kale pieces leaving ‘space’ around the chips for them to ‘crisp up’. If you don’t... it will just take a bit longer. No big. I baked them initially for about 8-10 mins. then tossed them around a bit to help the chips to fully ‘crisp up’. Now listen... you really need to stick around the oven + pay attention here to the ‘doneness’ of your chips. At the 8:00’ish minute mark, I ‘tasted’ a chip. “Is it chewy?” Cook them longer. “Fairly crispy?” Toss them around + put them in for just a couple more minutes. All told, it seems to take about 12-15 mins. to make the chips, but test + toss them around the 8:00 minute mark. Avoid #foodwaste . My bowl of Kale pieces made 3 small pans of chips + I ate them all. I also found that I prefer the Lacinato/Black Kale over Kurly Kale because of it’s ‘robust’ flavour + texture. #freewill #experiment  #test #keto #mamearthorganics #foodstuffs #healthyfood #darkgreenveggies #flaxoil #kale #superfood #nutritionalyeast

Grosse salade de kale ! Je l’ai lavé, j’ai ôté la tige centrale puis j’ai émincé finement les feuilles. Ensuite on le masse pour l’attendrir en le pétrissant entre ses deux mains et on le met dans son bowl.

Par dessus, deux belles cuillères à soupe de semoule complète, de la grenade, des marrons cuits vapeur @prozisfrance, du potimarron rôti, quelques restes de brocolis et champignons poêlés, de l’avocat et et et ... ma sauce tahini 🎉que j’aime d’amour ! Je vous la redonne mais c’est souvent la même :
1 cuillère à soupe de tahini
1 filet de miel
1 cuillère à café de vinaigre de riz
1 cuillère à café de tamari
1 cuillère à soupe de jus de citron
Une pointe de sauce sriracha
Du poivre
De l’ail semoule
Du paprika fumé
Et de l’eau jusqu’à consistance souhaitée.

Dans la vraie vie on mélange tout !!!! Et je vous garantis qu’on se régale 😅Cette salade est hyper rassasiante 👌🏻

  • An umami-filled breakfast plate: Miso-garlic mushrooms with butter sautéed kale, soft-boiled eggs, scallion, crushed red pepper.

I actually massaged the kale before sautéing it (I only usually do it when it’s eaten raw), and it helped it feel softer and cook more evenly! To make mushrooms, I just sautéd them in olive oil with fresh garlic and miso paste. Egg was boiled for 6 min.
