  • Alright. I have put off posting this because everything that could possibly go wrong...WENT WRONG! It was not the kits fault in any form or fashion. Just lack of planning and following directions on my part. I bought a jalapeño saison kit. I wanted a raspberry jalapeño saison. So I researched and spoke to lots of brewers. Created an idea of what I was doing and how I’d do it. Wrote it down. Planned it. Acted on it. Okay first my thermometer broke. But I didn’t realize it until it was too late. My back up thermometer. It was all over the place. I didn’t realize that until a bit of use in the situation. My mesh strainer broke. Lots of last minute creational changes took place here. A mess was made with quite a bit lost due to those changes. Anyways it was one thing after another and the only thing that kept me going was the fact that bad beers can become spurs and I love sours. So in my mind if all else fails I may have a sour. Later came bottling. Well since I had added the raspberries and did a second fermentation. I wasn’t sure on how much honey was or was not needed to avoid exploding bottles. Given the sugar content change with the raspberries. I did a tablespoon. Wrong move FYI. My beer pops open and fizzes when opening the bottle, but that is the sound of most of the carbonation leaving. Lol 
The beer itself, smells beautiful, looks pretty (orange pinkish tints), and sounds awesome opening. It is lacking in raspberry flavor and jalapeño taste is not where I wanted it either. Oh, and not to mention the lack of carbonation. Now this was not the case upon initial two week period tasting. This is after the first bottle and an oh my that’s sitting longer. Upon my first tasting of this experiment the jalapeño was watered down, raspberry was citrusy, and a strange caramel aftertaste. I know. I stared at it like, “Why do you smell and look so good, but taste so weird?!” Anyways again I changed the recipe and had a lot of stupid stuff go wrong. This is in no case a reflection of the kit itself. I adored their cider kit and look forward to trying more of their kits! @brooklynbrewshop is fantastic and I highly recommend checking them out!

  • I know I’ve posted about these crust a few times but dinner  tonight was amazing, and I had to share my new find!!!
I’ve had these before and ordered directly from their website but super excited to see they were at my local Fruitful Yield. I went turkey taco style with the jalapeño and it was deliciously spicy😍

Jalapeno turşusunu hikayelere sabitlemek için paylaştım ama yine sorular yağmur gibi yağıyor.

Mutlaka eşinizin başka iyilikleri vardır. Onları görmeye ve mutlu olmaya çalışın. Yoksa hayatı kendinize zindan edersiniz.

JALAPENO MEKSİKA BİBER TURŞUSU
Malzemeler (orta boy bir kavanoz için)  jalapeno biber
1 çay bardağı üzüm sirkesi
2 diş sarımsak
1,5 tatlı kaşığı kaya tuzu
1 tatlı kaşığı şeker
1 tatlı kaşığı tane hardal veya bir çay kaşığı tane karabiber 
5-6 adet çiğ nohut

HAZIRLANIŞI 
Jalapeno biberleri tohumlarını çıkarmadan halka halka doğrayın.

Kavanozun dibine nohut, hardal veya karabiber ve iri doğranmış sarımsakları ekleyin.

Doğradığınız biberleri kavanozlara sıkıca yerleştirin.

Üzerlerine tuz, şeker ve üzüm sirkesini ekleyin.

Kalan kısımları kaynar su ile doldurun ve kapağını sıkıca kapatın.

Kavanozları ters çevirin. Soğuyunca düz olarak güneş görmeyen bir yerde saklayın.

En az bir hafta bekleyen turşu yenmeye hazırdır.

Afiyet şifa olsun.

NOT: Sıcak su eklemek turşuyu eritmez. Aksine daha diri olmasını, kavanozu ters çevirince kapakların vakumlanmasını sağlar. Böylece turşu uzun zaman bozulmadan dayanır.
