  • #clienttipstuesday Hand feeding, PATIENCE, and more patience. These foster pups came into our house in smash and go mode, swiping each other’s food and toys, jumping on us, chewing each other up and being little heathen creampuffs😈😈
••Obedience commands are great but our first priority with these cotton balls was to chill them out👊🏻
••We did this by rewarding/nurturing calmer energy🙌🏻 ••In a few short days, manners emerged😃
••There is absolutely NO reason to feed new pups every meal out of a bowl!! WE become VERY valuable when we hand feed plus why would we rob them of an opportunity to interact with us and give their brains a work out 🤔
••First we rewarded them handsomely every time they sat, so they start to offer it more 💰
••SLOWLY feed when they appear calm. Sitting, standing, down doesn’t matter!! Just calm👍🏻
••If they get up, lunge, jump, just remove the food and place them back where they were if need be 😬
••He has a full day head start because he was a Moose and you can see how much calmer he is. Sitting side saddle, not on his haunches like her ready to spring into action😂
••Start slow and be happy with a few moments of calm and build up to longer amounts of time. They are pups and still learning😊
••What you reward will repeat🙏🏻
••He now thinks siting calmly is what operates the human vending machine. Who are we to argue with him? He’s right!🥩
••Once they learn the “sit and chill” concept you can do it with anything. Dinner, doorways, guests etc.👌🏻
These babies are up for adoption through @newyorkbullycrew
#grateful 💚

  • 85 lb American Pit Bull vs. 1.8 lb kitten. Remember the kitten I found in a drain pipe? Well he was adopted a week ago! Today he’s back with us for a few days, while his family is out of town. They’ve named him Benny and he’s still adorable and still not super sure about Christian... Christian thinks Benny is over reacting but whatever, it’s time for a nap. 😂
