Two Week Taster Course
What is the two week taster course?
This course is for females and touches on the basic fundamentals of boxing inc- footwork, hand position, blocks and fitness.
It is a two week commitment to 2 sessions per week held on Mondays and Wednesdays at 7.30pm for one hour.
This is a feeder course for our 6 week program. It lets you get a taste for what is to come, and decide whether or not the 6 week course is for you before having to make the commitment.
Who is the course for? Beginners
Females who wish to learn a new skill and improve fitness.
Step outside your comfort zone and have fun.
No fitness or experience required.
Will you get hurt? NO
This program is extremely controlled, you do not have to participate in any sparring or drills that you are uncomfortable with.
There are NO egos at Long Jetty Community Boxing and Fitness. We are all here to encourage each other.
There are controlled sparring session for girls who are eager to have a go (no pressure to partake in this exercise, and you must have a head gear and mouth guard). Equipment needed- wraps, mouth guard, gloves can be provided (if purchasing own gloves must have proper stitched thumb). .
Monday- introduction- how to wrap hands, stance, footwork drills and fitness
Wednesday- foot work, hand position and fitness
Monday- basics of a Jab punch and strength circuit.
Wednesday- Jab and Block, conditioning circuit - skipping practise. .
Cost $39.95 two week taster course. This includes a free T shirt and your four taster classes.
