  • Curry de garbanzos ❤️ La base se hace salteando una cebolla picada con ajo, jengibre, ají picado, 1/2 cucharada de cúrcuma, 1/2 de ají en polvo, 1 de comino,  1 de sal, 1 de semilla de cilantro y 1 de garam masala.
Después se agregan 3 tazas de garbanzos remojados de la noche anterior, 1 lata de leche de coco y puré de tomate.

  • I could probably do a whole series just on vada, but we will start with this. Vada is a fried goodie, usually made from lentils. Versions of vada can be found across India, because they are relatively easy to make and are a very filling snack. These were made urad dal (split black lentils), which was soaked over night. The lentils were then washed to rinse off the skins, and then ground with green chili, garlic, ginger, and coriander to make a slightly grainy batter. Traditionally, the batter is ground with a stone batán, which results in a mixture that's not too fine, not too coarse. The grainy batter fries into something that's crispy and flaky on the outside, while being puffy and soft on the inside. Vada only needs a little lemon  on top and then you're set.

My today's dinner.

🔹 Ingredients :
Handva flour (homemade from my mom- contains rice and Chana dal), sooji, curd, corn, green peas, spring onion, fenugreek leaves (methi), ginger paste, baking soda, turmeric powder, green chillies.
🔹Tadka ingredients : mustard seeds, cumin seeds (optional), kadhi Patta, asafetido, sesame seeds, oil.
🔹Just mix everything with water make batter, rest it for 15 mins.  Add tadka things to the pan, add batter cook for 10-12 mins, flip the handva and again cook for 10-12 mins and that's it. Your handva is ready to eat.
At my home, we used to have it with warm milk with some sugar. According to me it's best combination ever goes with handva.
Handva I have cooked in Pan and it's very quick just need 25 mins. It's yummy, crunchy and filling recipe.
You can try for your dinner, breakfast, and as a snack at any time. Good for traveling also.
