  • We made it back home🛫! It was such a beautiful trip but it’s also nice to be back to normal life now including feeding the babes this morning and getting to the store. I’m working on the Memorial Day weekend menu and I’m thinking my favorite portobello mushroom burger! ✨The Best Portobello Mushroom Burger✨ is marinaded in a rich balsamic dressing with steak seasoning to bring out the flavor. It’s up on the blog and I know you'll LOVE it ❤️!

  • Building your weekly exercise 'plate'...⠀
⠀
I ask my private coaching clients and my Lean and Clean clients to think about building a balanced weekly exercise schedule in the same way I ask them to build a balanced meal! For optimum health, insulin sensitivity and longevity you should prioritize Strength Training (these are your veggies), combine with some HIIT (quality protein), add in some pilates/stretching/yoga (great fats) and add a sprinkling of steady state cardio (clean carbs) if you need some more! ⠀
⠀
It looks something like this: ⠀
⠀
*2-4 servings a week: Strength Training (3-4 time if you are looking to burn fat and increase insulin sensitivity)⠀
*1-2 servings a week: HIIT⠀
*1-2 servings a week: Yoga/Pilates/Stretching⠀
*1-2 servings a week: Steady State Cardio (only if your stress levels are low and you have awesome adrenal and thyroid function)⠀
⠀

  • This shot is from an Airbnb we stayed at in Marbella, Costa Rica in 2015. I did yoga on and off over the years but really got back into it after this trip. There are times in my life where I do it more than others, but when I am consistent, it makes a big difference in how I feel. I feel more grounded, less stiff, less stressed and able to deal with new stress more easily. It's my time to get out of my head as much as I can and just focus on my breath. It's my form of meditation. 🧘‍♀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
--⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My favorite places to go these days are Back Bay @yogaworks in Boston (@izzyvanhall ’s class) and @y7studio in NYC. I'm looking to try some new studios though, so leave your fav ones in the comments below please!

  • When was the last time you allowed yourself to do nothing, to purposefully use time doing whatever you want, being open to whatever you encounter, without an end goal in mind?⁣
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁣
More and more research is demonstrating the benefits of idleness ⁣- essentially, when the mind is left to search for its own stimulation, it literally makes us more creative and better at problem-solving. For that to happen though, total idleness, real disengagement from work or whatever you think you should be doing, is required. Being removed from something, like all the obligations and concerns of modern life, allows you to get perspective on the thing you’ve removed yourself from. It’s hard to have broader, more critical thoughts about a situation when you’re caught in the middle of it, whereas doing nothing gives you enough time to let these these higher-level thoughts & feelings, which usually reside down in your subconscious, rise up and eventually turn into conscious decisions about what’s actually meaningful to you.⁣
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁣
I love a digital detox, but one thing I often notice around them is this narrative that all you need to do is clear your head and then you’ll be able to work more efficiently. But your ideas about the work and why you’re working haven’t really changed. In contrast, getting into flow states that have nothing to do with intentional productivity gives you time to wonder if you’re even at the right job anymore - maybe you’re not actually sure.⁣
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁣
The triggers for these flow states are as diverse as each of us, but as humans natural environments are a reliable cue to our subconscious to start perceiving higher. Perception is way more distributed throughout the body than we typically realize, and Nature offers us a richness of information that meets all of our senses and ways of knowing, far beyond just visual information playing out on a screen.⁣
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁣
Anyway, here's to your me-time today!🖤 ⁣#nourishyourmind #morningmeditation #TimoutTuesday #antaralife 📷@salir.life⁣

Selamat Berbuka, everyone!

  • **A little about me** My name is Jessika Stringer, My love for the Natural health industry started back in 2012 when i my mother fell ill for the second time with small cell carcinoma of the lungs. As i watched the progression of this horrible disease, my inquisitive nature led to countless hours of researching and studying, not only about the the human body and how it worked, but what cancer is, the pathophysiology behind the different types and then onto contributing factors and treatments that are effective in supporting someone with such an illness. This formed the foundation of my passion for health care, in particular, Naturopathic, integrative and preventative medicine.
I started studying a Bachelor of Health Science In Nutritional edicine for 12 months and then decided that my end goal and passion was to qualify as a Naturopath, so i transitioned across into the Naturopathic Medicine degree to broaden my skill set, knowledge and tool box of treatments for people.
A Bachelor of Health Science degree in Naturopathic Medicine involves 4 years of full time study over 300 hours of on campus tuition, which includes over 40 subjects ranging from chemistry, pathology, biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, anatomy and physiology, psychology, herbal medicine and phytochemistry, nutrition and practical clinical subjects just to name a few.

After years of dedication, hard work, breakdowns and tears, i have finally completed my theory subjects and reached the last few clinic placements of my degree.
Once qualified, i would like to focus on my 3 main areas of interest which are Gastro-intesintal health, endocrine health- in particular thyroid disorders and also mental health.

I truly believe health begins in the mind and the gut, therefore, our environment, the quality of the food we consume and our lifestyle all shape the foundations of our overall health and wellbeing. **CONTINUED IN COMMENTS**

  • Clearly enjoying fika over here in Stockholm. ✨
.
One of my greatest joys in this life is coffee. I cycle it in and out, depending on what my body needs (even though I’d much rather just drink it all the time - sometimes my adrenals can’t handle it).
.
But when I’m traveling? I get a coffee almost everywhere I go, especially in Europe. The caffeine intake goes way up and I love every frothy sip. ☕️
.
The bread and the cheese? No thanks. The almond/oat milk lattes? I’m in. There’s just something about wandering new streets having no idea where I am + entering little cafes for an espresso that lights up my heart.
.
What about you?! Sending love from Sweden! 🇸🇪 ✨

  • I work really hard to be my best self, but if I start to feel run down or exhausted, I know I need a little extra self-care & time to recharge. The following foods/ things are how I like to prevent burnout and keep me feeling well 😊⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
BONE BROTH⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
your gut bugs are responsible for your daily mood, energy, ability to learn and also how you deal with stress. The collagen and healing nutrients in broth help to reduce inflammation and heal and seal the gut lining - giving you an abundance of energy because you’ll be able to absorb more nutrients from your food!⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
MAGNESIUM⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
when your body doesn’t have enough magnesium, systemic inflammation can occur. This can result in fatigue, headaches, migraines, aches, pains, poor sleep and cramps. I make sure to have an epsom salt bath and eat magnesium rich foods such as; cacao, leafy greens, sesame seeds, brazil nuts and fermented dates and figs to top my magnesium levels back up.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
LIVER⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
gram for gram liver contains more nutrients than any other food + it also contains anti-fatigue factors. This is a non-negotiable for me as it helps me to feel energised and stay on top of my game. I have the yummiest chicken liver pate recipe on my website if you’re in need of a recipe.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
REDUCE SUGAR⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
sugar causes inflammation, decreases immunity and increases brain fog, so I try my best to avoid it. A great way to curb sugar cravings is by consuming more healthy fats. I have a whole blog post on this topic, visit my website if you’d like to read it.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
ELIMINATE TOXINS⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
if your body is constantly trying to filter out toxins, that uses energy and leaves you feeling depleted! Years ago I switched to all natural/ organic diet, cleaning products and skin care products. I also regularly take binding agents like activated coconut charcoal. This has made a massive difference in my energy, skin, gut and hormone health.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
ADAPTOGENS⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
if my stress levels get out of hand, I turn to adaptogenic herbs as they enhance your body’s ability to cope with stress, anxiety and fight fatigue. Turmeric, ashwagandha, rhodiola and mucuna pruriens are some of my favourites.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

  • New blog post live today, link in bio 👈🏻 Today I’m answering your top 5 burning questions about IIN aka @nutritionschool aka the school I did my holistic health coaching certificate at. Hopefully this will help to cover some of the fundamental questions that I see pop up over and over. I don’t know what’s in the air that I’ve been receiving so many Q’s about this at the moment, maybe it has to do with the fact that I’ve been focusing more on my one-on-one coaching, or maybe because it’s that time of the year where people recommit to their new year resolutions because 2019 is flyyyyying by!

Anyways, here’s what I cover:

x Can I do IIN even if I don’t want to become a health coach?

x Am I a full-time health coach now? Why or why not?

x How much time commitment is the course?

x How did you get your first clients as a holistic health coach?

x How much does IIN cost?

Comment or DM me if you have any other questions, always happy to help! ✨

  • spent the weekend back on the east coast with my crazy family for my little sisters graduation - and damn was it an adventure.

all I have to say is hold your humans close. tell ‘em you love ‘em as often as you can, as loudly+gently as you can, as deeply as you can.

remember: I love you all.

try telling someone how you feel about ‘em right now. and let’s keep the 💓 train flowin’ + helping others see that we can ALL act from a place of love over all else ✨

-mokyti.
-daryti jogą ir vaikščioti .
-kurti.
.
Linkiu visiems jums šią savaitę šiek tiek sustoti ir leisti akims prašviesėti 💛.
.
Ps. Šiandien paskutinė GOT serija, am I the only one quitely freaking out?! .

  • A good morning starts the night before. Your last waking moments determine how you sleep and what mood you wake up in. I’m so excited to share a new video with my evening rituals + sleep elixir recipes with you! They include a turmeric latte with the new @brandlesslife organic, unsweetened Golden Milk Mix and a special Apple Cider Vinegar Elixir that’s guaranteed to knock you out in the most nourishing, gut-friendly way possible.

See the blog post + video on breakfastcriminals.com.

Here’s the short version of my night routine:
1. Unplug from technology and put away your phone for the night
2. Dim the lights
3. Get sleepy with a nourishing golden milk latte or apple cider vinegar elixir (both recipes are in the blog post)
4. A hot shower with @brandlesslife Eucalyptus Oil (I add a few drops to the shower floor before getting in while the water is running)
5. Gentle movement or a savasana in a neck hammock (if you need that extra help going to bed)
6. Write down 3 things you’re grateful for
7. Put on an eye mask (if you’re into them) and enjoy your dreams!

Most importantly, take it easy, be gentle with yourself, and remember that sometimes doing just one ritual can be more effective than a comprehensive ten-step routine. Keep it simple.

  • @herspotsalon invited me to come over for a one hour full body massage and a nails treatment.

This salon is really one of the best I've ever been.. And no it's not because they invited me! It's because the massage was amazing, my nails were perfect and the girls were very sweet. So whenever you are looking for a nice salon to get spoiled, go here! It's based in Uluwatu.

Thank you so much for having me 🙏🏼

  • Healthy sheet pan Chic-Fil-A inspired meal is what’s for dinner tonight🍟
I’m not big into fast food so I love this homemade version of chicken nuggets and sweet potato crinkle cut fries. It’s satisfying but made with feel good ingredients💃🏻
Hope everyone had a good Monday! Mine wasn’t the best, but tomorrow’s a new day!
Get the recipe link in my bio!
