  • The @burgerkingsg 's Laksa burger isn't as bad as what everybody says. The chicken is ridiculously succulent and the laksa sauce is ok. Scores well  about 6/10. Random cucumbers though. Would surely eat this again.

Truffle Burger ($21), Korean Bulgogi Burger ($13.80), Garlic Fries (Reg: $7.30)

Located at Level 1 of Wisma Atria, this newly open burger joint stole my heart (kinda). It's definitely one of the better burgers in Singapore, especially for its affordability and taste.

I loved how they used a generous amount of butter to toast the potato buns, which added an extra fragrance to the entire burger. They definitely did not skimp on the amount of real truffle shavings used for the Truffle Burger, the taste was strong, and that's what makes the burger worth its price. Garlic fries was not too bad as well, the right amount of flavour especially for garlic fans. 
Surprisingly, the star of the meal was the Korean Bulgogi Burger. The bulgogi glaze was so flavourful I could not get enough of it. The beef patty for both burgers was not just thick, it was also really soft and juicy. For its price, there was nothing more I could ask for.

I'll definitely head back for their fried chicken, and one last mention would be their Wooyu Jollypong Icecream (U.P. $5.80), which is currently free with every purchase of a burger/ fried chicken combo till the end of July'19.

I don’t usually take durian flavoured food/dessert because I feel durian is best as it is but this here is an exception cause my aunt made them 👍🏼
And when there’s nothing else better to do just open the fridge and reach for the chilled durians in the container and continue eating in bliss. 😌

All I wanted to get was a drink, but when I stepped into this restaurant, we decided to sit down for late lunch! 
Love the concept of this place. This is how a classroom in Taiwan looks like. This place made hub missed his school days back in Taiwan! 
@eat3bowls seeves authentic Taiwanese food. Not a wide varieties of choices but definitely quality over quantity! 
Guess I’ll be making frequent trip there because the boys love their 卤肉饭👍
This morning Jordan woke up and ask if he could go there for breakfast! Lol. 
If you’re craving for some authentic food from taiwan, head down to @eat3bowls one of the best I’ve tried so far!

  • Another dish we had at Una was this grilled octopus. I almost always order this whenever I see it on the menu. This was a little too chewy, but the charred grilled smoky taste was spot on. I hate coriander with a passion, but that coriander sauce was good! It had none of that overly 'veggie' taste 🤣. The purple sweet potatoes were a pleasant accompaniment to the octopus too.

  • Last night, we wandered into a private chefs dining experience for the first time and enjoyed a superb meal prepared by the young lads of @wearelittlebites, Jonathan and Kristoffer. The menu seamlessly bounced between playful remixes of local dishes such as the satay and nasi briyani with the {Har Mee} being my absolute favourite. What looks like angel hair pasta is actually just a cap for piped prawn mousse, clever.. then there is fried scallop to mimic the fish cake. 💡 The prawn bisque has a creaminess offset by a punch of heat from chili oil. All in all, very innovative stuff that would have been elevated with better attention to temperatures. Do check them out their account (@wearelittlebites) for your catering/ private chef-ing needs.

And in case you were wondering, this is part of this year's Singapore Food Festival fringe activities whereby @dineinnofficial organised the Private Chef's Table where ten home chefs took turns hosting a room full of hungry guests with dishes that spoke either in traditional tones or crossed into modern innovation boundaries. Currently they still have 3 dinners this coming weekend with seats available so do hop on over to www.privatechefstable.com if you're looking for a different kind of dining experience.

  • Perfectly done soufflé pancakes at $4/$5, freshly made from scratch upon order. Such pricing only feasible only at a hawker centre stall; yet the quality of these pancakes were as good, if not better than some offered at restaurants at 3-4 times the price.
The topping and presentation were rather no-frill. Ours had simple caramel sauce and a scoop of ice cream for flavouring. No complaint though, for the low price and how the pancakes were just on point.
