In other news! ❗️PR PR PR❗️225lbx4 beltless. Honestly I never saw myself ever squatting 225 for reps without a belt. Before pregnancy I could only go up to 185lbs for three reps and then whenever I went up I used a belt. Mobility and core strengthening is what I needed. I have never been so strong with my core especially now since I have a baby!!! The more you strengthen your weaker areas of the body The better you feel of course😉.

  • BACK “Day”....actually Night 🌙

After trail walking with Spartacus last night and seeing all the deer tracks I realized it’s time to dust off my bow and get a jumpstart prepping for deer season this fall 🙌🏼
.
Now I was pregnant last year and wasn’t able to do the static holds while holding my bow due to too much painful pulling in my ever growing bump 🤰🏼and then I had JUST had a baby when the season started!
.
So to say I’m rusty is a nice way of putting it.

So time to get my back strength back up! 💪🏼

Videos will be posted tomorrow for my fellow hunters who want to build stamina and strength for bow hunting...or tree climbing 🤷🏼‍♀️

  • I’m very smol. But I am trying to get strong. To go from smol to strong, must start lifting smol. It’s hard, and even my space is small, but I’ve been trying. I’ve also been trying since summer to nail a tripod headstand. My yoga instructor at @waterdogcc says it’s all in the core and shoulders, which are my weakest areas. Today, for the first time, completely unassisted, I did a full tripod headstand! Only for a split second, but I still got it.

In the nine months of training @brielarson did to prepare for Captain Marvel, she gained enough strength to deadlift 215lbs, hip thrust 400lbs, and even to push a 5000lb Jeep with a full tank of gas and passenger for a full minute. It’ll probably be a good, long while before I get anywhere close to that, but nine months ago I could barely hold the tripod headstand prep pose. Last week I still couldn’t get my legs up. But today, I got it.

  • My virtual trainer asked us to share our favorite moves from the workout tonight. ➕ so of course I picked the moves that most resembles yoga poses- high plank pulling the knee to elbow to three legged & flip dog and then frog leaps. This is just me playing after the workout was over but we did a sequence of 9 different exercises 2x for a minute each. . . And I’m drenched. 30 minutes later. ➕If you remember I used to share all the time- but I’ll be honest: the community I surrounded myself with before wasn’t inspiring and I lost the inspiration within myself once I got into a relationship and new chapter of life, but ever since I’ve been back I’m feeling so much more alive & the babes I follow and commit to blow my mind. I’m so inspired to keep up with them. ➕Starting in the first week of May my workout program is getting a face lift and being re-shot LIVE and I’m committing to do the complete 3 weeks straight. It’ll be perfect since I’m be away in #Spain to help me stay focused. I would love for some company ... 😉 *hint hint, let’s do this together!!*

  • Chalk-up another Monday. Wasn’t feeling’ it before I began. Was rockin’ a mean headache. I was not short on reasons to not get it done. Only need that one reason TO get it done.

“He’s a fireman. It’s easy for them.”

Truth is... I have to find that motivation every day... all over again. I am always running short on time. It’s extremely difficult to stay in-shape while dealing with the sleep deprivation that comes with our line-of-work. I’m creepin’ up fast on 40.

There are so many reasons and justifications I could use to be out-of-shape and in poor health.

Bottom line is... I don’t want that type of lifestyle. Feeling good and feeling good about yourself simply... FEELS GOOD.

It’s all very worth it... when you give yourself the opportunity to FEEL GOOD.

  • I’ve been on a no kids staycation! And treated my body like it’s been on vacation! First weights in a few days after eating like shit and I hurt! My joints hurt and my stamina is shit. Good reminder. I can’t believe this used to be my normal!

Please know you don’t have to hurt. You don’t have to feel like shit every day. 🙏
