  • Supporting the #transgender community and praying to fill #trans kids’ hearts with love and acceptance ❤️
Just from the nature of growing up different and sometimes in an unwelcoming environment, us #gaydads don’t want our kids to suffer the emotional pain that we went through. This is why we are so sensitive to our kids’ #gender expressions, and it’s also a partial explanation for an amazing growing phenomenon, where #gay couples step forward and adopt #transyouth who were thrown out of their homes. In this episode of Daddy Squared we brought on David Strah, a family therapist from Los Angeles who specializes in LGBT. David is also a father of a transgender boy, and shares from his own personal experience ❤️

  • "It all happened a few days ago, over lunch.
I remember talking about my first day with my roommates that day. I have made a lot of friends here now. My 4-year-old sister is here with me too. I am twelve years old and I study in class six in Rajkiya Purva Madhyamik Vidyalaya (RPMV), Dehradun. I enjoy reading books here in the school's library and wish to become a scientist when I grow up.
One of my roommates asked me that day, “What will we do if Uniyal Sir sends us away?” I said that it would never happen. Sir has been taking care of us for the past year now.
We sleep with a full stomach every night on warm, comfortable beds. We call RPMV our home now. Teachers come to teach us regularly, and Uniyal sir checks our scores himself. A few weeks ago, he started the construction of a library and got books from kind donors and schools. Whatever we have now is quite good. But this wasn’t the case back home. ... Now, Uniyal sir told us that the Sarkaar has asked him to split the shelter home according to gender as a precautionary measure. My sister and I will be separated. As much as I would hate to not be able to see her every day, I know that she will be taken care of. All of us boys will have to move out of RPMV and study in the other school as well. We aren’t happy about leaving our home, but there’s nothing that we can do to continue to stay here.
Uniyal Sir is trying to renovate that another old building for us to stay. But Sir is struggling to find the money to renovate it. But I want to help him because he has done so much for us without ever expecting anything in return.
So that’s why I’m asking you, will you help me? Will you help us?" .

  • I’ve experienced so many broken systems in the past few months. Trying to get help for people who desperately need it; trying to utilize the resources that make our country so great to live in, and yet I hit wall after wall after wall. Why? Why can’t we ALL do better. Why aren’t we better than this yet?
.
While files get ignored, and wait lists get longer, PEOPLE continue to remain broken even though we (collectively) have the power to help them be whole. Everyone’s impacted. Everyone loses.
.
Every child deserves to be safe, loved, and provided a HOME where they experience both. Right? In Ayos case, there is a home here in Canada that was approved as such, with a family who was grilled vetted and SEALED with approval. I have to believe that THAT home is better for him than the current situation he has remained in for 134 days without both of his new parents and living in limbo.
.
@justinpjtrudeau @ahmeddhussen this home is a good HOME. I don’t know who it is who still needs to be convinced of that but get them to open the file, pay attention to the “hype” there’s a reason for it. This kid will be embraced by an army. They’ll protect him, you will see.
.
Let’s be about fixing broken systems and let’s be about getting Ayo home.

  • Today, New Zealand's Member of Parliament from the National party, Mr Matt Doocey ,visited our aviation project in Rangiora, New Zealand.
We discussed a range of issues including -
1. The reason why we chose New Zealand as our main base for our Aviation project - its highest safety standards and the rich aviation culture.
2. Various overseas pilots and new students from different countries visit us which generates good revenue for different small businesses around this beautiful town of Rangiora.
3. Not many get to fly or train in an Indian Air force plane, so to give that platform for youngsters to fly and experience New Zealand is very unique.
 4. We will also work towards supporting youngsters from tougher financial backgrounds around this region in New Zealand, thus bringing flying within everyone's reach.
5.Implementation of our tennis programmes, the Burns centre in Madurai and awareness programs for the Home for Every child were also discussed.
Thank you Matt for visiting us and we look forward to working together.

  • She said that it was impossible to get a photo of them all looking at the camera. We just hung out and played in a big field in the fog and we did get photos of them all looking at the camera. Maybe even 2 or more photos. ❤️ #homeforeverychild
