  • “Your new found love, she came to me today. She came to me with all her beauty and grace. She said, "has he always been like this? I mean when we first met he seemed okay, stable." The way her voice trailed off I knew it was back, the depression was back. I laughed because you left me for someone that was happier but here she was your happier girl ready to leave you for someone happier.”

  • Shame is something that can accompany coming out of a bad relationship. Shame won't be what heals us, forgiveness will. Coming out of a relationship, we're already feeling bad- the last thing we need is to add self-inflicted shame on top of it. We're allowed to make mistakes, we're allowed to make the same mistake many times. But the goal is to acknowledge the mistake, learn from it and then move on in a new and healthy way.
