It's Brussle Sprouts 🤗

Brussels sprouts are low in calories but high in fiber, vitamins and minerals.

Here are some of the major nutrients in a half cup (78 grams) of cooked Brussels sprouts:

Calories: 28
Protein: 2 grams
Carbs: 6 grams
Fiber: 2 grams
Vitamin K: 137% of the RDI
Vitamin C: 81% of the RDI
Vitamin A: 12% of the RDI
Folate: 12% of the RDI
Manganese: 9% of the RDI
Brussels sprouts are especially rich in vitamin K, which is necessary for blood clotting and bone health.

They’re also high in vitamin C, an antioxidant that helps promote iron absorption and is involved in tissue repair and immune function.

What’s more, their high fiber content helps support regularity and gut health.. In addition to the nutrients above, Brussels sprouts contain vitamin B6, potassium, iron, thiamine, magnesium and phosphorus.

  • 👩🏽‍🏫 Earlier this week we held a class on how to do oils cheaply and get the most out of them so thought I would share a little on here too! These are my Top 3 most useful essential oils from the Premium Starter Kit and what I use them for (note: this is not a definitive list - simply what we use them for on a regular basis!):
1. 💜 Lavender - never been a fan of the smell of lavender but we use it more than any other oil hands down! Uses: pop it in the diffuser before bed/naps, use it neat on itchy bites, as a bug deterrent, for hair growth, plus it also goes into a lot of our DIYS (dry shampoo, hair detangler, linen spray and after beach spray). Great to have handy in your first aid kit and in the kitchen if you are a bit clumsy like me.

2. 🍁Thieves - LOVEEE the smell of this one! Smells like Christmas (but in a cold country that has fire places and mulled wine 🔥🌲🍷). We use it to make our own cleaning/laundry products and hand soaps, as a room spray, in our spray mop, in a wellness roller (particularly during Winter) and in our plant magic spray for indoor plants. You can also leave the bottle open and next to your chopping board when cutting up onions to avoid the water works 😭!! 😱

3. 🍋 Lemon - one of my faves in our culinary line (culinary line = safe to ingest as per FDA guidelines. Please Note: I am only referring to Young Living oils here - do NOT ingest other companies’ essential oils). Uses: add a drop in warm water first thing in the morn, use in recipes such as lemon bliss balls, guacamole, lemon icing - really handy if you don’t have any lemons in the fridge and need that lemon flavour! Use to remove sticky residue from things like labels/stickers/price tags, diy stain remover and mix with bicarb and thieves household cleaner to make a cleaning paste.

Whilst these are my top 3 most USEFUL oils - Stress Away will always be my FAVE essential oil from the PSK 😍

  • Thank goodness for long car rides....it’s where I do most of my thinking. It’s where I blare my music to drown out my thoughts. It’s where I talk to myself (no one knows if I’m on the phone or not 😂) it’s where I let the tears roll down my face.  It’s my only alone time, most days.  So thank goodness for long car rides.

imagine changing everything at once: your environment, all your eating habits, sleeping habits, exercise routine, selfcare rituals.. how would you feel? I bet overwhelmed, confused, frustrated and tensed. way too much 🙅🏼‍♀️⁣

what to do instead? take it slowly, but be determined and committed. set a goal each week or month, know yourself enough to assess what’s realistic. make 1 small change. and then the next one, and next🙋🏼‍♀️⁣

  • Listen up. Get yourself a glass milk bottle or whatever container you’d like and dump an entire carton of organic half and half, almond milk, whatever you prefer in it.
Then add 2 drops (or whatever your taste is) of:
Orange, cinnamon bark, clove, nutmeg vitality each! 
Then add vanilla extract!
You got yourself the most delicious sugar free coffee creamer. Pumpkin spice vibes. So good.
