  • What diet tho?! 🤔😅 🍕🍣🍹Last time I checked it was 6pm & fasting starts at 8pm. I recently started this new way of eating called Intermittent Fasting. I fast for about 14 hours (8pm-10am), then give myself a 10 hour period (10am-8pm) to eat. It’s a lifestyle choice I recommend and here are a few of its benefits:
• boosts weight loss • increases energy • improves memory and brain function
• promotes cellular repair & longevity

During these 14 hours, your body is burning food energy and restoring balance, so that when those hours are up, your body is ready to take new nutrients and food for the next day at the respectable hours. It’s definitely not as easy has it seems because if you know me, I usually love to eat whenever I feel like it, but I noticed I would eat at late hours and wake up feeling exhausted and low on energy, I literally just wanted to stay in bed all day. This is what motivated me to change my eating habits. You definitely have to train your mind and have control because it’s easy to fallback to your old ways. Ultimately, how you treat your health and well-being is telling your body how it will function throughout the day. Hopefully that’s well-rested & happy with more than enough good energy to take on the day! 😄🙌🏼❤️ Thanks to my girl @angeldez for capturing this moment 📸😘

  • The @kauaihumanesociety has an amazing program called Shelter Dogs on Field Trips. We took Ellen on a hike at the Wailua Arboretum and she did such a great job. She liked to go FAST and would make a great running partner. She was so tired on the way back, but I think she had fun!

I’m going to be writing a blog post about how to give back during your vacation. This is a great way to do that! #shelterdogsonfieldtrips

We try to travel at least once or twice a year to a new place ~ last year we visited Maui, Cozumel (MX), and Mammoth 🏂

Last year, Sawyer and I got scuba certified and it was the best thing we’ve ever done, if you have the chance ~ I would highly recommend! 🐡🐙
