the other day someone asked me if I was on a “fitness journey,” and it took me a moment to realize that for the first time in years, I am not. I don’t have any fitness-related goals 🤯 and I’m perfectly content with that. I exercise because it makes me feel good, and that is it 🤸🏼‍♀️weird concept, I know 🙃

  • Just be the person who cares more. Be the person who tries harder, loves stronger, gives more of a crap than all the other half-Alive people around them. Be the person who answers their messages, shows up to their commitment and doesn’t leave others hanging or guessing at their eternally vague intentions. Be the person you wish you were dating. If you’re sick of the game then quit playing it. If you’re tired of the bs then cut it. 
Because the last thing this world needs is one more indifferent person. If you’re the only one left with passion, then use it. Use the hell out of it. At the end of your life, go out with a bruised up, worn out heart that gave too much, loved too strongly and felt too fiercely. Go out with certainty that you gave it everything you had and didn’t hold anything back. Go out empty-handed when it comes to should-haves and would-haves and might-have-beens. Because it’s an infinitely more fulfilling way to live than the alternative. Live big, love hard, never settle. -

Chelsea was about 6 weeks ago and today we did her much kinder sister — Cindy
Dripping with sweat and smile on my face, the twenty minute time cap found me at 13 rounds + 10 reps.

•ability to walk on your hands a solid 25-50ft⁣

🔑Once you have that let’s talk SPEED for competitions & why stacked or bent v scorpion is best:

📌BENT LEGS - with stacked spine.⁣
⁣
•When bending legs AND keeping a solid base (aka: stacking spine) we are shortening the lever & moving w. our mass closer to center of body.⁣
⁣
•Using a bent knee v. straight legs may help w. speed due to the physics BUT still STAYING stacked for stability & safer position under fatigue.⁣

📌 SCORPION LEGS - spine not stacked.⁣
⁣
•We see this position often during competitions, but I don’t recommend it for practice. The position of the neck & spine can cause compression & pain, if this method is used over time.⁣
