  • My Law of Attraction planner has an entire section to go through before you get to flip to the next month. I have some incredible goals I'm setting for April so I couldn't wait to get to breakdown and tracking...before I could get there I had to reflect. I love this planner and all its done to help me make and keep a routine, track and plan my days by the hour and even track my everyday 64oz (at least) of water. The monthly reflection piece however was incredible. It was a series of 6 lists, and 5 questions... Lists like 10 accomplishments

My answer? A RESOUNDING YES! There were SO many excuses, now more than ever I could've used for not enjoying the journey this past month...but I woke up every single day, expressed radical gratitude and worked my everyday like I was the CEO of my very own (eeek, forever been dreaming of this) Health & Wellness business. And I hit a goal beyond what I even set for myself, a teammate had to announce to me how far I'd come, how many lives if changed.
I write all this to say, not ONCE did this pandemic make it to my month end review and for that I know I am privileged, BUT also just chose to put my focus into things that light me, others and the world. And you know what it worked...we have choices every single day and we have the power every time to get caught up in the madness or rise above. And let me tell you the view and endless possibilities is better when you rise up.✌🏼️💜🌱

  • People always ask me what is the best thing to do to be healthy. My answer - set the foundation, set yourself up for success.

For anyone who's ever done mandala yoga, it follows a Mayan Calendar. And in Mayan tradition days hold different qualities. Today is a Dragon day, and this means it's a good day to start something. To put ideas onto paper, to make a decision, to bring action. It doesn't matter what you start, but most of us probably have something, big or small, that's been bubbling at the back of your mind.

Maybe today is the day to sort out your cupboards. REMOVE what is pulling you off course, what’s out of date, what you don’t even like. REPLACE it with staples that will allow you to whip up healthy meals easily, even just make a shopping list of what you might buy next time you’re in the shops.

My kitchen pantry is a constant reminder to me of what whole foods look like. When you open your kitchen cupboards I want you to feel inspired rather than overwhelmed and stressed. Maybe today is to seize the bull by it’s horns and sort them out. *if you’re getting rid of food that could be eaten by someone else see if your neighbours or a food bank might take it, I don’t want to encourage food waste*

  • Happy Monday everyone! Its time to take back control of my health!

I'm in the flow with working from home, I'm in the flow with exercise at home, now it's time to get in the flow with eating healthy at home!

These last few weeks I have reverted back to bad eating habits, a lot of beige, and not very nutritious food has been consumed. Partly because of boredom, partly because of comfort eating but mostly because I am so close to the fridge all the time 😂

Now is absolutely the time to be eating well and flooding our bodies with nutrients so that our immunity is boosted!

So sorry beige foods but you are out! Veg its your time to shine 🥦🌶🥬🌽🥒 I'm starting the 30 Days To Healthy Living program today to keep me on track and to motivate me to choose wiser when reaching for foods.

Today started with a Greens Shot:

Greens Balance (full spectrum of nutrients)
Digestions Plus (prebiotics, probiotics and digestive enzymses)

And a Green Tea - full of antioxidants 🍵

Followed by a super smoothie, packed full of vitamins, minerals, healthy fats and protein to keep me full 🤩

I will post the rest of the days food in my stories so you get an idea of what you can eat on the program.

Can't wait to start to feel more energised, less lethargic and to have that glow about me again 🙌

  • Yoghurt contains many things that are good for you including calcium (strengthens bones) and live cultures (fantastic for your gut health). Try to get plain yogurts rather than the kinds that are pre-flavored and loaded with sugar. You can sweeten plain yogurt yourself with healthy fruits and a drizzle of honey instead.

  • “Discussing ginger kombucha I cannot let this one go unmentioned. I've been working slowing through the GO Kombucha sample pack and was excited to see all the different teas used to make different tasting kombucha. When I saw the Ginger Sencha I felt a little disappointed at first because I often find that ginger in kombucha just takes over. Well I couldn't have been more wrong, or surprised! .

“This has got to be the most incredible tasting kombucha I've had to date. Small tongue tingling bubbles and background taste of prosecco with a light floral gingery note that complements the kombucha so much. My brother tried this too, it was his first experience of  kombucha and was so surprised he liked it. He mentioned galangal in his tasting as the ginger wasn't overpowering. .

4 thin boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 teaspoons olive oil
2 teaspoons chili powder
salt to taste
1 cup diced mango
1 cup diced avocado
the juice of 1 lime
1/2 cup minced red bell pepper
1/4 cup chopped cilantro

𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
Heat a grill over medium-high heat. Drizzle the olive oil over the chicken breasts and sprinkle with the chili powder and salt to taste.
Grill for 4-5 minutes on each side or until cooked through.
While the chicken is cooking, combine the mango, avocado, red bell pepper and cilantro in a bowl. Stir in the lime juice and salt to taste.
Spoon the salsa over the chicken and serve.

    Heat a grill over medium-high heat. Drizzle the olive oil over the chicken breasts and sprinkle with the chili powder and salt to taste.
    Grill for 4-5 minutes on each side or until cooked through.
    While the chicken is cooking, combine the mango, avocado, red bell pepper and cilantro in a bowl. Stir in the lime juice and salt to taste.
    Spoon the salsa over the chicken and serve.

I actually received a message from someone yesterday who said “I know what to do. I know how to do it. I just don’t do it.”

If you’re seeking shifts & change, but continue to hit the wall on the goals you’ve set for yourself, here’s where I often see issues:

✨Analysis Paralysis.
You’ve read ALL the books, paid for tons of online programs, read every blog post about nutrition & health but still feel STUCK, maybe more than ever. Stop & assess, if it’s not technical skills or info you’re missing is it possible you are missing important info about yourself? Are you disconnected from the role that you, your mindset & tendencies play in the equation of change? A lack of action can often simply be due to a lack of awareness or self trust or limiting self beliefs & a fixed mindset.

✨GET OUT OF YOUR OWN DAMN WAY!!
If you discover the challenges you face in fact are not actually technical due to missing info, then this means there’s some inner work that needs to take place on mindset, current beliefs & the role of your unconscious systems. I don’t pretend this work is easy, but I can say with certainty it is NECESSARY.

Erstens schmeckt Papaya überragend und zweitens ist sie eine echte Wunderfrucht - voller Antioxidantien [entzündungshemmend], das Papain verbessert die Verdauung und hilft vor allem bei der Verdauung von Eiweiß. Nicht umsonst nimmt man Papain gerne als Kapsel ein - oft in Verbindung mit Bromelain

  • SATURDAY BRUNCH—
calls for some french toast

FRENCH TOAST #dEATS :
✰ 2 pieces of @foodforlifebaking ezekiel ‘flax’ bread
✰ 1 egg
✰ lots of cinnamon
✰ splash of @califiafarms oatmilk

mix the egg/cinnamon/milk in a bowl & dip the pieces of bread all over. then add them to a skillet with a little coconut oil— cook on both sides until browned. add sliced bananas to the skillet as well to caramelize them!

add your fav toppings & enjoy :’))) i kept it simple with mine and just put the caramelized bananas, powdered sugar & maple syrup 💛 #cherryneats

  • Sourdough bread for Sunday brunches☀️🍹 This one is to kill time during lockdowns
🗝️ This was my first attempt at the bread and I'd agree I wasn't completely successful with the kind of rise I was expecting and I figured it was because I did not let the baby rest after the final kneading. 
The prep time for the bread is 6 days( including the starter) 
Cook time: 40 mins

The baker's percentage is a really important concept to keep in mind for this bread; it's 78% for this one i.e 350 gms liquid to 450 gms flour.

For the starter:

Mix 2 c flour 2 tbsp dry- yeast and 1 c warm water in a glass container. Let it rest at room temp for 5 days. Your starter is ready to be refrigerator once it bubbles up.

For the bread:
Measure out 450 gms flour, add 3 tbsp starter, 1 tbsp olive oil, 1/2 tbsp salt and 1/2 tsp sugar. Fold and proof for intervals of 30 mins, repeating 4 times.
Let the baby rest for 5 hrs. 
Preheat the oven at 250°C
Oil your baking dish, flour out the baby, milk wash it, use a knife and slightly cut the tops, pray to the almighty and put it in the oven. 😛😛🍞🍞 Cook for 38-40 mins

I get asked from clients and people I meet about drinking when it comes to fitness and fitness goals. I’m no expert on the subject but I will tell you what I believe and have found with myself and the clients I have worked with over time.

I’m not going to lie to anyone and have never tried to lie about having drinks with friends and/or drinking wine because I really enjoy it! BUT when I was competing on the pro circuit there was a period of time I didn’t have a drop for over 4 years. Not because I had a problem or thought it was so horrible I couldn’t even do it in the off season, but because the goals I had were so big and I was in such a zone that I didn’t allow it to even enter into my mindset. When I finished competing and even when I was competing I was experiencing a ton of health issues and didn’t need to add any other toxic substances into my body. I chose NOT to consume for my body and allowing it to heal. During this time I was also pretty socially secluded because of the space I was in.

Fast forward to today. I have balance in my life and choose to socially drink along with living a healthy lifestyle. However I am at a place where I am happy and confident with my body and where I am at, which means I don’t think twice about meeting up with someone for a drink or enjoying a glass at home during the week. BUT, I don’t just do it whenever I want either. I love the taste of wine but I know my body and mind will not be optimal if I don’t pick and choose how much and how often. I still have DISCIPLINE! You also better bet your ass I’m not having a couple glasses of wine with friends and then ordering a pizza or throwing down a bunch of crappy food because my blood sugar has dropped from drinking. Sure I’ll rein it in at times if i want to drop down another 5-10 but i know how to do that.

I tell people this...you have to understand that your goals come first and your cravings come way after that. If you are trying to lose weight and body fat, you have to be even more conscious of your body. Everyone responds different to alcohol and processes it differently. You for sure need (rest in comments)⬇️⬇️⬇️
