  • Good morning with a cool tribal touch. Recorded in Accra, Ghana, West Africa, January-February 1981. The album got very good reviews, but the music press were puzzled by how Mick convinced Peter Green to re-record his classic “Rattlesnake Shake” in Africa. It was done before Peter's solo album "Whatch'a gonna do", and personally I'm sure Peter felt it interesting to work with musicians in Africa.
.
Mick Fleetwood’s 'The Visitor' is the latest of these musical trade-offs. Album photos show the grinning Englishman towering over Ghanain tribesmen looking equally pleased. There’s reason for such happy spirits as the music here, vibrant, unselfconscious, graceful, is uniformly pleasant. On the blues-period Fleetwood Mac “Rattlesnake Shake,” the legendary Peter Green returns, reclaiming his own roots, playing tough and easily. Fleetwood himself, one of drumdom’s masters of understatement, supplies his customary minimalist effectiveness. The Africans range from Superbrains, a pop band, to the Ghana Folkloric Group".

  • The last band that should be dead is @chiodos. You guys have the power to single-handedly revive them whether you realize it or not. You know what @chiodos needs? A lead guitarist that has the creative capacity to not only help @badxchannels breathe life back into the band but accent him musically as well. Whenever a band has a revolving door of artists it makes it hard not only to vibe but to solidify a vision for the future. Listen to the entire discography... it’s relatively easy to see where the band could go if the lineup solidifies.
