  • Let me hit you with some random logic. At 6 years old when you walked up to the mirror and looked in it, you didn't see you larger forehead, big eyes and large nose. You just saw yourself as you are with no flaws just a reflection. Somewhere along the lines of growing up and being influenced by mediums and the opinions of others, when we look in the mirror now, we see the opinions of others, our flaws and mistakes. We then take this reflection and form it in a mindset labeling it "me" or "I am" and being to live by it. My friends you need to stop and look at yourself again. Reflect on which thought is you and which is the influence of someone or something. You need to understand that filling yourself with positivity is the only way to live in this life. Doing what makes you happy and what makes you passionate. Stopping yourself down in your mind and lift you self up. Remember every innovator, inventor, scientist, painter, business owner, had point had to fail their way to success. Let you self talk and mind be a reflection of the person you wish to be. If you want to change the world, dont say, "this is to hard, I think I will give up", instead say, "I am in the process of getting where i need to be and i will get there." Stop defeating yourself and create victory from within. Believe in your greatness and push yourself to be better today than you were yesterday.

It’s okay for you to disagree with your parents view point in a RESPECTFUL manner🔥
Just because you want to do something that’s good for YOU & what YOU feel is best for yourself, this does NOT validate you being afraid that your parents will curse you & you won’t receive blessings. 
How? Because you wanted to study something that went against what would make THEM HAPPY? 
Are you supposed to just sacrifice all of your own values & thoughts because you’re afraid that your parents won’t listen to you? 
Remember your parents are doing these things because they LOVE you! Even if they can’t express it, their actions come from a place of love! 
Our parents come off as “controlling” because they just want you to be successful...but it’s time for YOU to decide if their values align with yours! 
If you’re happy with your parents choosing a spouse for you, then alhumdullilah ignore my advice! 
If you’re happy with your parents choosing your major & what you’ll do professionally then please continue! 
But please do not complain to me about your parents if you’re ALLOWING them to control you💯
Please don’t say things like, “I don’t have a choice!” Uhm, yes you do. If your dream is worth struggling for, then continue to talk to your parents about what you believe is best for you...& regain control over your life.

  • Ontem eu postei dois cenários. Dois tipos de pensamentos que as pessoas tem ao se depararem com algumas situações.⠀
⠀
Hoje eu gostaria de trazer a explicação de cada um deles, identificados por anos de estudo de #CarolDweck, PhD e Professora de Psicologia da Universidade de #Stanford. Segundo suas pesquisas, existem dois tipos de mindset: ⠀
⠀
A-Mindset FIXO: Pessoas com um mindset fixo acreditam que suas habilidades e características são inatas e constantes. Elas acreditam, por exemplo, que possuem um certo nível de inteligência, um nível de moral, uma personalidade, e que isso determina o que elas são ou não capazes de fazer. Isso faz com que todas as situações pelas quais estas pessoas passam sejam confirmações destas características. Se elas têm sucesso em uma atividade, isto comprova sua inteligência, se elas falham, isto demonstra que sua inteligência é inferior. ⠀
B-Mindset PROGRESSIVO: O outro tipo de mindset é o chamado progressivo (growth). Neste caso, as pessoas veem suas qualidades como habilidades que podem ser desenvolvidas, de acordo com sua dedicação e esforço. Estas pessoas entendem que todos nós possuímos um potencial desconhecido, que pode ser desenvolvido com dedicação e aprendizado. Pessoas com um mindset progressivo não são mais inteligentes ou capazes. O que acontece é que elas ACREDITAM que é possível evoluir e se desenvolver, e então se dedicam verdadeiramente para isso. Além disso, elas encaram as falhas como oportunidades de aprendizado, e não como comprovações de suas capacidades. Isto fortalece cada vez mais sua autoconfiança.⠀

Muitas pessoas ainda acreditam no Mindset Fixo. Meu intuito é mostrar para estas pessoas que há outra forma de encarar fatos e assuntos em nossas vidas.⠀

  • I’m loyal as hell. Sometimes to a fault. (Enneagram 6) ⁣

Which means ive stayed in toxic relationships longer than i should’ve, given more second chances than deserved, and had people’s back who sure as hell didn’t have mine. ⁣
⁣
It means I’ve had a hard time letting go. ⁣
⁣
It means I’ve loved super hard without it being reciprocated. ⁣
⁣
It means I’ve been burned more times than i can count.⁣
⁣
Some people view this as weakness or insecurity. ⁣
⁣
I view this as strength. ⁣
⁣
Why? Because i haven’t allowed any of it to harden my heart. I haven’t allowed the pain I’ve endured to keep me from loving again. ⁣
⁣
Instead, my perception has been that i won’t allow another person to change who i am at my very core. ⁣
⁣
I’ve learned the beauty in the overcoming and resiliency. ⁣
⁣
Having said all of this, becoming a mother has taught me more about life’s most precious gift,  the one that quickly slips away. TIME. ⁣
⁣
It’s taught me the value of unpacking. ⁣
⁣
It’s taught me the value in walking away. ⁣
⁣
It’s taught me the value of letting go before i feel ready. ⁣
⁣
You see, it’s not about changing who you are at your core. My favorite attribute is my huge loyal heart and nobody can take that from me. ⁣
⁣
Rather, it’s about taking life’s lessons and using them to become the very best version of ourselves. ⁣
⁣
It’s about becoming the victor of our lives not the victim.

It’s about self awareness and growth.

It’s about stepping up to the next level of our lives and into the next version of ourselves.

  • Theta state of consciousness is the state of consciousness we were in from 0-7 years old. It’s similar to hypnosis. When people say kids are “sponges” and absorb everything—that is what they mean

We are basically being hypnotized by our parents, teachers, and any other authority figures in our life at that time
•
THIS is when all our programming is being downloaded into us and will be used for future reference as we move along in life
•
Many people believe their anxiety is caused by their current circumstances. Their job, their spouse, finances, etc. or they think it comes out of no where. It comes from subconscious memories
•
Anxiety begins in the years 0-7, when you experienced the initial sensitizing event which lead you to believe the world is not a safe place. It becomes a snowball effect from the initial event
•
Truly healing from anxiety begins when you start to work with your subconscious beliefs about the world instead of letting them take over your mind and body
•
Are you at the point where enough is ENOUGH? You’re ready to reclaim your LIFE? I’m just a DM away ❤️

  • THERE IS A WAY OF CREATING A NEW REALITY FOR YOURSELF

But that new reality cannot be created if you’re continuously stuck in the beliefs that you have created for yourself based on your past experiences.
.
Your past was exactly what it was for your benefit and for your growth, there’s no other way it could be in order for you to be exactly where you are today, wiser than ever and reading this post 😜
.
But being stuck there is not the answer if you no longer want to be living in the reality that you’re living in now.
.
So once you accept that every single experience happened exactly as it should have, you can forgive yourself and others and surrender to the NOW.
.
Through loving acceptance of what was and what IS, you can release the judgement and attachment to your past that you’ve been holding onto for like eveeerrrr.
.
And it’s from this place... that you can CONSCIOUSLY CHOOSE exactly how you want your new life to be.
.
It is from this space that you can begin to plan, dream, visualize and write down exactly what that new reality looks like so you can begin to see it right in front of your eyes and start to BELIEVE that you are capable of it all.
.
Once you start to embed these new beliefs, your actions will reflect them and your new reality will take form.
.
You no longer have to live out your past.
.
So work out what those beliefs are, debunk and release the shit out of them because THEY ARE NOT YOU and start imprinting new beliefs that are aligned with this new future self version of you so you can start stepping into that new YOU.

The time is now.

You can literally start creating a new reality for yourself right now!

    Your past was exactly what it was for your benefit and for your growth, there’s no other way it could be in order for you to be exactly where you are today, wiser than ever and reading this post 😜

    But being stuck there is not the answer if you no longer want to be living in the reality that you’re living in now.
    .
    So once you accept that every single experience happened exactly as it should have, you can forgive yourself and others and surrender to the NOW.
    .
    Through loving acceptance of what was and what IS, you can release the judgement and attachment to your past that you’ve been holding onto for like eveeerrrr.
    .
    And it’s from this place... that you can CONSCIOUSLY CHOOSE exactly how you want your new life to be.
    .
    It is from this space that you can begin to plan, dream, visualize and write down exactly what that new reality looks like so you can begin to see it right in front of your eyes and start to BELIEVE that you are capable of it all.
    .
    Once you start to embed these new beliefs, your actions will reflect them and your new reality will take form.
    .
    You no longer have to live out your past.
    .
    So work out what those beliefs are, debunk and release the shit out of them because THEY ARE NOT YOU and start imprinting new beliefs that are aligned with this new future self version of you so you can start stepping into that new YOU.
    .
    The time is now.
    .
    You can literally start creating a new reality for yourself right now!

  • First off, I'm obsessed with Impact Theory. I love the guests that Tom Bilyeu chooses to interview. His guest Hal Elrod has been practically impactful. https://youtu.be/g9yg5cDagJ0 After listening to a YouTube interview in mid-November I started my #miraclemorning and ordered Elrod's book.

After 10 weeks and 2 days, I finally finished the book today.

You might be thinking...it took you that long to read one relatively short book?! Yes. But I read some things in between.

Guys, grad school broke the reader in me. Or so I thought. I graduated in 2013 and it took me a couple years to pick up a book and read it from cover to cover.

In the last 10 weeks in 2 days, I have read 5.75 books! I've been a bit of a squirrel with the Elrod book, reading a chapter and putting it down to read something else, over and over again. In addition to the books I've read,  I have also read 4 chapters of other books. All of this in mostly 10 minutes a day of reading and a 25 minute audio book-dog walk session. Some days I went to 30-45 minutes of reading to actually finish something, like today. 
And life had gotten in the way. In that time period I was on 3 va/staycations where I was with other people and they were my primary focus. I took a day off twice and then 10 days off when my wife's mother died.

The overall effect is that I am feeling more calm and have went off of bupropion, the mood med I went on when my life started to go to hell in a hand basket a year ago. 
I feel like a totally hippy, self-help book enthusiast saying this but the combination of getting up early to do my morning routine - meditating, mild exercise, reading self-help stuff, journaling, and setting my intentions for the day have created positive change in me. 
I am less anxious by far, more grateful, more forgiving of others' faults (esp. those that resemble my own which I am especially judgmental of), and proud of myself for what I have accomplished... the books, the meds, the fresh attitude, the hope I've created for what I can positively change in the future.

All this from getting up 1 hour, at first,  then 2 hours because there is an addictive quality to spending quality time with yourself.

This quote lights me UP. Fear of failure is the biggest obstacle that gets in our way as adults. It’s why we stop dreaming big. I dare you to write out this question and answer it honestly. What would you do? 
Is it completely different from what you’re doing now? Be honest. If it is, what’s a small step you could take this year to get closer to that place you want to be? Could you ask for a new project at work, save enough for that big international trip, take on that side hustle you’ve always wanted. You can do ANY of these things. You just need to get out of your own way & put in the work to make it happen. 👊

  • As wives, mothers, daughters, sisters and friends... we have a tendency to prescribe to this thing called 𝙜𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙩. You know what I’m talking about. That voice that says we are selfish for buying that thing 𝙬𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 instead of buying the thing 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙙.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I went to the store last night on a grocery run. Of course I’m working within the means of a budget, but I had just earned a little money and wanted to do something (small) for myself. I was feeling a little depleted and since I love shopping and self-care, I wanted to do something to fill my own cup. Do you know that I hesitated (for way too long) to spend $11 on myself because I know every single person in my house needs new socks? 😞😩😂 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

As women, we tend to sacrifice our needs/desires over others... I don’t think there is anything wrong with that SOMETIMES, but more often than not we must do what makes us happy — something that fills us up. It doesn’t have to be extravagant but it needs to be all about YOU! The reality is — when you love 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛 well, you begin to love others 𝙗𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • Both Tanner and I have this crappy thought “I should be farther ahead than I am”.

And it took us awhile to discover just how much that was holding us back. It feels defeating, almost paralyzing when you’re constantly repeating that in your mind. All you do is compare yourself to others way ahead of you and it makes you feel inadequate to take the next step because it’s never good enough 🙄.
.
So here I am to say...YOUR SPEED DOESNT MATTER. FORWARD IS FORWARD. Not because I’m a pro at applying that but because it’s one of the BIGGEST lessons I’ve been learning.
.
Those moments that I’ve put my head down and focused on MY next step, I’ve taken massive leaps. The more I focus on other people’s journey, the more I stay put.
.
Today, I challenge you to focus solely on YOUR next step. You in? ✋

  • One of the biggest challenges of TRAUMA is learning how to pick up the pieces and heal. Learning how to love, and trust, and be vulnerable is such a big ask for someone who is in a transitional phase of their journey.

I say do it anyway. Do it scared. Do it doubtful. Do it broken. Just do it. Wake up and put one foot in front the other and know that you’re covered. A scattered puzzle still makes a pretty picture.

  • My fitness story. 👇⁣

I often get messages asking when/why I got into fitness, so I thought I would open up and explain my story Since y'all are so curious 😉. I've always been a pretty active person, when I was a kid my parents put me in horse back riding, martial arts, and gymnastics, so having an active background helps tremendously. However as you get older you start to lose interest in the things that you use to love doing as a kid,  I stopped doing all those fun activities because I got switched around schools alot I was constantly going back and forth from living on a farm to living in a city. so after awhile things just got to overwhelming for me and I stopped doing alot of  those things. I haven't always been in shape. For along time I struggled with weight. When I was in gr. 7-9 I was only 98 pounds! I got laughed at for being so skinny. . Thankfully gr 10 came by and I started gaining weight and I was looking healthy!! Then after highschool I gained a little more weight the most I've ever weighed is probably 150.. now,  that isn't bad at all but for me it was cause my eating habits weren't good.  So once 2013 came that is when I really wanted to start focusing on fitness and bettering myself and I still do so till this day I always thrive to become better. I've talked about this before where I've known alot of people and if they lived healthier lifestyles they could still possibly be here today and that just shows the power of fitness. So to me fitness isn't about looking good, it's about feeling good and having that proper mindset where you can do the UNSTOPPABLE and be the UNSTOPPABLE badass that you are! Everyone has a story so instead of judging people (which I see alot of on social media) Just cheer them on! Cause they are one step closer every damn day to becoming their best selves, and that is honstly the best reward you could ever give yourself. ⁣

So whoever is reading this and are new to this lifestyle just remember you are already one step ahead cause you chose to better yourself and there is nothing more magical then that. So go be a star and keep on shining. 💕🌟 #training #beyourbestself #fitnessgoals #fitnesschallenges #growthmindset

  • Want to let go of the past? Read this.

The reason we struggle to let go of the past is because we’re still waiting for them to validate how they made us feel.

Key Words: How they MADE us feel.

That right there is giving someone else power over your emotional state.

That right there is blaming them for hurting you or making you feel how you feel.

When we struggle to let go and when we don’t feel like we have closure, the honest internal dialogue is, “I don’t feel like they’ve acknowledged how they hurt me.”

As a creator of your life experiences, you have choices.

Nobody can actually hurt you or make you feel anything. This statement in itself will piss some people off, but that’s because they’re rooted in the belief that they don’t have a choice.

You do.

You always have a choice to interpret every situation in your life in a way that either serves you, or hurts you.

A lot of people don’t yet understand this, because it’s never been explained to them. That’s okay, now I’m explaining it.

Between every situation and your reaction is YOUR interpretation.

What they choose to do is a reflection of them.

How you choose to interpret it is a reflection of you.

Nobody makes you feel anything. You make yourself feel something depending on the interpretation you give the situation.

Your ex cheats on you.

Interpretation 1: They never loved me. They abused my trust. How could they do this to me?

Interpretation 2: They’re not as equipped to be in a relationship as I expected. I should have seen the signs earlier and not expected anything of them to begin with, or even chose to be with this person.

Interpretation 1 takes it as a personal attack.
Interpretation 2 takes responsibility for putting themselves in that position and can even show compassion for the other person.

Learn to interpret things differently, take responsibility, and let go of the belief that other people need to validate your feelings because in the end, you created your own feelings based on your interpretations and expectations.

We make the interpretations. No one else can make those for us.
