If you are a person that prioritizes long work ours at the office over taking a 30 minutes to exercise everyday then you will a the fitness level of a person who does just that. 
Even 10 minutes a day of quolity exercise can be a huge game changer!

  • 🔥💥 Nordic/Glute hamstring negative ⁣

Hamstrings are often the overlooked muscle group in the lower extremity when it comes to training. They play a massive role in hip and knee function and in propelling us forward.⁣
⁣
This is an advanced exercise and easily scaled back. I have spent months working on hamstring strength and varied this type of exercise. ⁣
⁣
Eccentric muscular contraction is where the muscle is loaded whilst lengthened. It happens as a normal function of the body and training the muscle in this way has huge benefits too. ⁣
⁣
When you are in the gym and you are lifting weights, you can benefit massively from this lowering phase of the movement. If you avoid this by letting gravity do the work, you are essentially missing out on strengthening the eccentric component. ⁣
⁣
Vary your tempo of your lifts and remember to consider controlling all aspects of the lift when performing resistance training. 💥🔥

  • As I drove back home after dropping off the older kids at swim team, I thought about how good it was for them to have to get up and go do something they didn’t feel like doing in the moment because they committed to it and because in the end they do like it. When I got home, it hit me: If that’s a good thing, then I need to also. Today was supposed to be a run day, but I didn’t want to. 
It’s so annoying when parenting “backfires” and applies to us. 😏 But it turns out we need character training just as much (or more) than our kids.

So I did it. And I’m glad I did. If I can keep away from the bread and chocolate and popcorn today, I might even be happier with the result in a day or two. 😂 🏃‍♀️ #homeschoolmom #homeschoolcharacter #parenting #fitmom #motherhood #takemyownadvice #dotherightthing  #getmoving #fitbitlife #couch25k

outdoor workouts are my fav!  something about the sun shining down and breathing in that fresh air- finding a sense of calm and connecting can make you push yourself a little harder!!

try this circuit in between runs 😎

🏔 push ups - 15 reps
•
🏔 squat walks - 30 reps total
•
