After spending so much time learning the functional groups, it turns out that we have to draw only "sticks"➖ or geometric figures🔷, imagine them in 3 dimensions (at least I did not want to go to NASA🚀, I only liked chemistry because of the colors of the solutions💜). I still remember my first Organic teacher stretching his arms🤗 as if he were going to embrace the whole room, trying to make us understand the tetrahedral geometry, without much success, by the way.🤭

Berzelius proposed to use the first letter of the name of the element✴, the Latin name, adding a second letter when there is more than one element with the same initial, for example: C for Carbon, Ca for Calcium, Cd for Cadmium.
