Good evening, everyone! I thought I’d share a #TransformationTuesday post seen as I haven’t done one in a while. These two photos were taken almost exactly a year apart. If I didn’t have photos to look back on, I probably wouldn’t have said I look any different after a year. Surprisingly, I actually weigh the same (if not more) as I did last year. I think this just shows how the weight on the scale DOES NOT determine whether you’ve made progress. What you should be paying attention to is your change in body composition (I really recommend taking progress photos that you can then look back on). This year I’d say that my body fat % is slightly lower than last year, and my muscle mass has increased by a good amount. This explains why my weight has remained very similar (as muscle is more dense than fat). I just wanted to remind you all that you can still make good progress despite not seeing a huge difference in the number on the scale⚖️ I hope you’ve all had a lovely day💛

  • What’s for lunch?🍽 Today I made spaghetti tossed with spinach, cherry tomatoes, & scallops😛! I was feeling a little fancy & decided to create my own light sauce using fresh ingredients. •

Ingredients

Olive oil
Spinach
Cherry tomatoes sliced in halves
Parmesan 
1/2 cup small sea scallops 
Local garlic spread
Spaghetti (save 1/2 cup pasta water!) •

Heat a frying pan over medium heat and start to simmer & sauté tomatoes. The sauce works best when you sauté the tomatoes for a while until the skin breaks and all the juices leak out. I seasoned the pan with salt and pepper after ! Then I added 3-4 large handfuls of fresh spinach to the pan and cover to steam & cook the greens. It might seem like a lot of spinach but it wilts down! 
In a separate pan fry the scallops (source of protein, iron, B12 & low in fat) in some garlic spread then add to the veggie mixture. I cooked my spaghetti until al-dente and then mixed the spaghetti in to the veggies in one pan. Add a splash of pasta water to create a silky texture and add volume to the sauce. Top with parm and add garlic toast (optional, but who doesn’t love more carbs #carbsarefuel )🍝👌🏼

In the past, I’ve dealt with some nagging injuries, and as a strength athlete along with competing in grappling tournaments. Injuries for me are a NO GO and HAVE to be avoided at all costs.

I know many others have had similar issues with nagging injuries during their sports or strength training endeavors, and because of that I wanted to share with you guys my experience.

Once I learned exactly what to do in order to prevent injuries, I stopped having aches and pains! Now I never have to worry about missing training sessions due to trying to keep my self safe.

It all started at home and then when I finally felt like I could go to the gym. I did. I was so nervous the first time and then even sometimes now I feel anxious before I go upstairs. Idk why but I do. Then once I start all those feelings go away and nothing makes me feel like I do when i workout 🤓

Heute stand um 7h bei mir Bein Training an und danach 40 min LISS cardio. Ja was soll ich sagen - danach waren meine Beine kaputt. Ich hab generell nach Leg days immer Probleme mit dem Auto danach zu fahren noch und von Treppen steigen will ich gar nicht anfangen haha😅🤘

Aber was wäre ein Leg day ohne noch Posing zu üben mit meinen Coach💕😊 so weit läuft alles wie geplant und ich bin happy 😁
