don’t know how young I was when I started hearing this but for the longest it was burnt in to my brain making it a crazy belief. It like as women we have so many things goin against us that we start believing its impossible to do the possible.

Ok I know what you are thinking. Your saying to yourself- we are all different in so many ways from our backgrounds, lifestyle and genetics. True, but at the end of the day fact is we can.

  • Finally finally starting to feel a bit more like myself. Whatever bug just ran through me good riddance.

Workout this morning I managed a Workoutwithkristi 24 minute total combo body workout. It was hard and it wasn’t my best performance but I showed up and that is what the goal was.
.
Work is busy. I honestly usually feel like it slows down toward the beginning of November but I feel like it’s been full steam ahead since we started in September. 😳 Fairly certain I’ve had a deer in the headlights look for the past 2 and a half months... and I’ve been told by numerous people “you look tired...” geee thankssssss🤣😂

Here’s to Wednesday and trying our hardest to not look as tired as we feel?

قسمت الأغذية إلى خمس مجموعات يحتاجها جسم الإنسان بكميات معينة لبناء جسمه، والقيام بوظائفه الحيوية وبالتالي التمتع بصحة جيدة، ولم تعطى هذه المجموعات أسماء كونها تحتوي على أكثر من نوع غذاء، ولكنها بشكل عام تركز على نوع معيّن من المواد الغذائية التي تحتويها هذه الأغذية أكثر من غيرها وهي: 
المجموعة الأولى 🧈: وهي تحتل قمة الهرم، أي أنّ الجسم يحتاجها بكميات قليلة ومحدودة، تضم الحلويات بأنواعها، والسكريات، والزيوت، والزبدة، والسمنة، وهي تمد الجسم بالطاقة، ولكن محتواها من السعرات عال جداً، مما يتسبب في السمنة وزيادة احتمالية الإصابة بالأمراض المختلفة.

    قسمت الأغذية إلى خمس مجموعات يحتاجها جسم الإنسان بكميات معينة لبناء جسمه، والقيام بوظائفه الحيوية وبالتالي التمتع بصحة جيدة، ولم تعطى هذه المجموعات أسماء كونها تحتوي على أكثر من نوع غذاء، ولكنها بشكل عام تركز على نوع معيّن من المواد الغذائية التي تحتويها هذه الأغذية أكثر من غيرها وهي:
    المجموعة الأولى 🧈: وهي تحتل قمة الهرم، أي أنّ الجسم يحتاجها بكميات قليلة ومحدودة، تضم الحلويات بأنواعها، والسكريات، والزيوت، والزبدة، والسمنة، وهي تمد الجسم بالطاقة، ولكن محتواها من السعرات عال جداً، مما يتسبب في السمنة وزيادة احتمالية الإصابة بالأمراض المختلفة.
    المجموعة الثانية🥛🧀: وهي مجموعة الحليب ومشتقاته، من لبن، وجبن وغيرها، وهي مصادر غنية بالكالسيوم المهم لبناء العظام، والأسنان، وصحة العضلات، وغيرها، كما أنها تحتوي على العديد من الفيتامينات الذائبة في الدهون.
    المجموعة الثالثة 🍤🍗🥩🐟: تضم هذه المجموعة مصادر البروتين المختلفة مثل اللحوم الحمراء كلحوم الضأن، والماعز، واللحوم البحرية مثل الأسماك، والربيان، بالإضافة إلى البقوليات مثل العدس، والفول، والبازيلاء، وكذلك البيض. تشترك كل من المجموعة الثانية والثالثة بنفس المستوى في الهرم الغذائي، كون كلتاهما تحتوي على البروتين، ولكن مع مراعاة أخذ كمية من الحليب ومنتجاته من أجل الحصول على الكالسيوم.

  • Ain’t it the truth!  But guess what?  I started our Healthy Habits program exactly 3 years ago today. You might think that wasn’t a wise decision because of the approaching Holidays. But I was desperate and SICK and knew if I felt that way at 63, how would I feel in 5 or 10 years?  I’d tried just about every diet in the world and nothing had worked. I tried just watching portion size and not eating after dinner and working out at the gym 5 days a week. That didn’t work either. So I gave this my one last shot. And it CHANGED MY LIFE! 💃 Why?  Because it’s different. Because it’s not “just a diet” Because you get accountability and support along the way And because it teaches you how to eat right and make it a lifestyle change. So yes, I was on program during Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Years plus the Super Bowl, and Spring Break. Several church dinners and travels out of town. How? Because of everything above plus when you see how easy it is and how quickly you look and feel better, it motivates you to reach your goals. I’ve maintained my weight loss and am still enjoying all the health gains from taking that desperate first step. don’t know how young I was when I started hearing this but for the longest it was burnt in to my brain making it a crazy belief. It like as women we have so many things goin against us that we start believing its impossible to do the possible.

  • Amen 🙌 What we post on social media is what we want to portray to others. We don't often show our low moments, our slip ups or our 'bad bits'. We only post photos which are flattering, and it might take 20 selfies to find one we like. We only post our healthy meals or ones which look pretty. We only talk about positive body image and self confidence. I admit I do this myself. I talk about positivity, when sometimes I get down and feel negative. I will only post certain selfies and sometimes I get self conscious and delete them later. I am not perfect, no one is perfect. So many of us try and portray a perfect image of ourselves, one which often isn't real. Don't compare yourself to those you follow on social media, and please don't compare yourself to me! 💕 #girlgains #gainhealth #gainstrength #gainhappiness

  • (POST QUESTIONS BELOW AND I WILL ANSWER !) I've been sharing a lot of fitness related stuff lately because I've been pretty focused on my goals . Let's just say I enjoyed my summer 🍺🍕🍔🍺. I've got to practice what I preach so that's exactly what I've been doing ! Never be afraid to be a beginner. Everyone has to start from the bottom and work their way up. Step outside of your comfort zone and you'll learn so many new things about yourself! Sometimes I look in the mirror and I'm not happy where I'm at but then I look back on old photos and realize how much more unhappy I would've been if I stayed there. Saturday's are my most difficult day of the week so make some good choices #FitFam!

  • The struggle is real! 😂 I was once told the best way to tell if you’re gaining weight, is to buy pants with a zipper and button. I looked on my closet and realized ALL my pants had elastic waistbands, even my jeans!👖🙈😂 So, here’s to buying pants that fit loose, not tight. 🙌🏻If you need help fitting into your shorts this summer... I’m your girl! 🙋🏼‍♀️ DM me. I lost 14lbs in 30 days on our Program and I’ve kept it off for 2 years! 💪🏻
