#Repost | This was my first attempt at making scones!!! 🍫. ⁣Llittle did I know, but you actually need to bake them as one large circle for a few minutes, then take them out of the oven to cut them into the signature triangle shapes, then put 'em back in the oven! ⁣

🛍️ 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝⁣
1 cup flax meal ⁣
1 cup protein powder ⁣(@gainful)
1 cup almond flour ⁣
2.5 medium bananas (save half to slice on top) ⁣
1 1/4 cup almond milk ⁣
1 tbs Apple cider vinegar ⁣
2 tbs avocado oil ⁣
1 tsp cinnamon ⁣
1/3 cup runny @eatnuttzo nut butter (can sub tahini) ⁣
1/2 cup blueberries ⁣
1/2 cup @lilys_sweets chocolate chips ⁣
T𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞:⁣ - preheat oven to 350 degrees, and line a circular baking tray with parchment paper.⁣ - mash up the bananas in a medium bowl. combine the remaining "wet" ingredients (except blueberries + chocolate chips) in with the mashed bananas!⁣ - combine the "dry" ingredients in a large bowl; pour the wet mixture into the large bowl containing dry ingredients! mix well. fold in the blueberries + the chocolate chips to the combined mixture. ⁣ - place dough in a circular shape on the baking sheet (should be about 2 inches thick!). bake for 20 minutes. ⁣ - take the dough out of the oven and preheat oven to 375 degrees. next, cut into 9 equal triangles (I used a rectangle "bench knife" for accuracy). ⁣ - sprinkle a handful of chocolate chips on top of the cut scones, then place back into the oven for 10 minutes.

I must admit, after taking a break from working out, the comeback has been easier than ever and has paid off so well. Not only I feel better, but the burnout is not as bad as it was before, and the results are showing so much faster. I have found my new favorite protein shake and it's @gainful .

  • I'm actually very! happy with the protein and flavor mix-ins I got from @gainful 💕 The Matcha flavor is 👌👌 So thankful it was my mystery flavor too!! 💪 And this protein feels super clean and blends pretty easily! I even feel a little energy boost after my shake to help me continue on with my day after a good workout ✅✅ Making my personal protein fit in my diet macros perfectly has been great too! 🥣 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞⁣ - preheat oven to 350 degrees. ⁣ - mash the banana in a large bowl. add in the remaining ""wet"" ingredients (egg whites, apple sauce, yogurt, milk). stir well. ⁣ - blend the old fashion oats in a food processor or blender to make 'oat flour'. pour oat flour into a medium bowl. add in remaining 'dry' ingredients (protein powder, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, collagen, superfood greens). ⁣ - combine dry mixture and wet mixture. stir well!!⁣ - pour protein-packed batter into 12 lined muffin tins (either sprayed with avocado oil OR with sillicone liners). bake for 12-13 minutes. ⁣ - in a mug, combine the almond butter & maple syrup. drizzle a top the cooled muffins, then sprinkle with chocolate chips. ⁣

  • Today after my workout I did 10 minutes of meditation. I chose taking a break to help ease my mind in the middle of the day. I’ve talked about @headspace before and I will also recommend the app. It has helped me in so many stressful situations to just take a step back and kind of reset myself. If I’m struggling to fall asleep, I just throw on one of their sleepcasts and I’m out (Lazy river is my go-to). Also, shout out to @gainful for my awesome shirt! I absolutely love their protein. I love that I can chose a different flavor each day and I’m not stuck with boring vanilla all the time. I do attribute part of my weight success to them. I use their vegan blend and I actually like it. I actually want to consume it. It took me forever to find protein I actually liked.

1/2 cup + 2 tbs Chocolate or cookies ’n creme protein powder ⁣
1/4 cup Unsweetened cocoa powder⁣
1 Banana, mashed⁣
4 Egg whites⁣
1/2 cup Unsweetened apple sauce⁣
2 tbs Fage Greek yogurt⁣
3 tbs cup almond / nut milk ⁣
1 tsp. Baking powder⁣
1 tsp. Baking soda⁣
1/4 tsp. Salt⁣
Optional: 1 scoop collagen ⁣
Optional: 1 scoop superfood greens⁣

2 tbs sugar-free chocolate chips (i love @lilysweets)⁣
2 tbs almond butter⁣
1 tsp maple syrup⁣

🥣 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞⁣ - preheat oven to 350 degrees. ⁣ - mash the banana in a large bowl. add in the remaining ""wet"" ingredients (egg whites, apple sauce, yogurt, milk). stir well. ⁣ - blend the old fashion oats in a food processor or blender to make 'oat flour'. pour oat flour into a medium bowl. add in remaining 'dry' ingredients (protein powder, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, collagen, superfood greens). ⁣ - combine dry mixture and wet mixture. stir well!!⁣ - pour protein-packed batter into 12 lined muffin tins (either sprayed with avocado oil OR with sillicone liners). bake for 12-13 minutes. ⁣ - in a mug, combine the almond butter & maple syrup. drizzle a top the cooled muffins, then sprinkle with chocolate chips. ⁣

  • Are you a resolution maker this time of year?? I am personally a big fan of New Years resolutions. I’m a fan of goals in general actually. I like to be prepared and I like to have a plan in just about every aspect of my life. I also love the feeling of a fresh start. A chance to review how I did in 2019 and where I can improve in 2020. I obviously don’t expect perfection in myself, but I do hope that I can be and do better. 
I have set goals in multiple life-categories, and I am really excited to start implementing some habits that have been a little.. ahem... non existent over the last couple of months. #holidaycraziness 😳 I’m especially stoked to start experimenting with some healthy and easy meals which I will be sure to share here. It’s going to be a GREAT year, I can’t wait to see what we all will accomplish!

  • You guys!  I am so excited about this personalized protien by @gogainful!  First of all, they have this cool website where you are asked a series of questions based on what your goals are.  The website was really fun to use and at the end, it lets you know what personalized protein they recommend!  I have tried a lot of proteins powders, but always wondered in the back of the mind if it was the right one for my needs and goals.

When it arrived it came in this fun box with my name on it, and a welcome note, which made me smile.  I picked chocolate and the flavor is so good and creamy.
