But we are back on track! I was able to get in my cardio workout today while he took a nap!!🙌🏼 Also, I’m in love with this wind breaker! It’s been the perfect spring jacket!🌸

  • Happy Spring everyone! What Spring and Summer produce are you most excited to grow or see in stores this season??
—
I love asparagus and beets and can’t turn down a rhubarb crisp! When I’m really listening to my body, I crave more fresh seasonal options and really turn towards salads and lighter options as the sun ☀️ comes out.
—
Unfortunately, my 6-week old doesn’t seem to love all the raw vegetables that I’ve been eating. Sadly, I’ve noticed increased fussiness after feeds in days when I eat salad 🥗. While the research says that there are no certain foods that contribute to infant gas that all moms should avoid, sometimes there are specific trends that a mom may notice.
—
Since breastmilk is made from what passes into mom’s blood and not what is in her digestive track, this could just be coincidental, but sometimes science just doesn’t explain it all. Either way, I want to help my fussy baby! I’ll keep tabs on it and report back. Hopefully our otherwise happy little guy will outgrow this gassy phase soon 👶🏼

  • It's been one of those hectic weeks + I unfortunately had a Endometriosis flair up and thank god for my Mama Flow as I would of most likely been bed ridden without it. .
.
It helps so much with the pain from my cramps, stops me from looking 9months pregnant with the amount of bloating I get and balances out my hormones. Sometimes If it's a bad month I add in my Tummy blend as well it helps with so many different issues like constipation, bloating, diarrhea, tummy bugs, gastro you name it Tummy helps.
.
.
I've started to organise Mother's Day packs for next month's promo which I'm super excited about! Our secret project with @oilandoakcreations should hopefully arrive today 🤞🤞 if not Monday and I think you will be so excited 😍😍😍 I'm dying to see them myself!! I hope everyone has a great Friday!! ❤

  • Living that coffee life and wouldn’t have it any other way.
I have been told I’m crazy for even thinking about work but the truth is, it’s what keeps me from going crazy. I get to work from my phone so it’s not like I’m showering, getting dressed, and heading into the office. I am laying in bed with my baby in my arms (or attempting some rock n play action) while I get to check in with the people who inspire and motivate me daily.
Today I went live in our coaching sneak peak to share some info about team trainings for new coaches. I absolutely love this coach life so getting to sneak in these pockets of work is something I look forward to as a distraction from post partum exhaustion and craziness.
I didn‘t start as a coach full time but I am so lucky to be where I am now. I know what it is like to make it work in the little bits of time we have instead of watching tv or scrolling social media aimlessly. Instead, I get to help provide for my family and inspire others to live a healthy life.

  • We are definitely in month 8 now! Went from being too distracted by the circle to look at mom, so I gave him an ale8 bottle to distract him... then tried to take the bottle so I could at least get a smile and that obviously is not what his idea of a good time is. He loves snuggling his mom&dad, also still overly obsessed with all things Mickey Mouse. He is becoming his very own person which in turn comes with his own opionions❤️ It’s crazy to watch how much they change just from day to day! We are loving our new KY home and the time we are getting to spend together as a family.
side note: why they don’t sell Ale8 in other states is just absurd. It’s basically half ginger ale half sprite and it has got to be the best soda ever invented.

  • They drive me nuts on the daily but the fact that I am leaving them both for the first time overnight, for multiple nights, is giving me serious anxiety 😣

I’m putting off packing my bag and I don’t want them to leave my lap. I am being completely over dramatic and I know they are going to have a great weekend with Daddy but they still need me, right?! 😭

The weird thing about your kids growing up is that you absolutely want them to be ok without you, but part of me also wants them to not be ok. That sounds terrible because I would never wish struggling upon my children, but I want to know that I am still needed by them and important. Am I the only one that feels this struggle?!

FYI : it’s on sale on Walmart online right now! It’s pretty cool, snaps on to his rock and play, stroller and car seat! What is ONE baby product you love and always recommend to mom friends? 🤗

  • ‘She is just hungry, feed her!’ ‘I think he needs fed.’ This is the common advice from family members and health professionals, whenever a baby is upset, crying or screaming. Before too long all you seem to be doing is feeding your baby in order to calm them, which in turn creates the behaviours of colic and reflux – or Digestive Overload, the cause of these behaviours. So I completely hear and feel these mothers words as she wrote to me about her frustration with professionals that give this advice…

  • I cannot agree more 🙌🏽. Can you imagine our motherhood journey if at the start (& always) we were completely supported, acknowledged and understood?
“We are programmed to believe that the faster we recover- act and look like we never had a baby, the more "badass" we are. The thing is that what is happening postpartum is mostly UNSEEN. You can't see the wound of the placental site. If it was external, no one would allow that person out of the house. Because it's internal, and for generations most women have not received remotely the care they need after birth, we have started to think of this postpartum time to rush through. “ As a community, we need to surround her and remind her. "Go back to bed, friend. I got this." The postpartum time is a lot longer than a birth, and arguably much more determinant of your overall health in the future. With the right postpartum care, most births, no matter how traumatic, can be repaired, and a woman can still emerge from the six week extended rest period healthier and more resourced. • Over tiredness can show itself in many ways..
Putting your baby to bed later normally does not result in a lay in or letting your baby have less sleep during the day with the hope that your baby then goes to bed easily isn't always the case at all.
When restricting sleep or your baby naturally cat naps during the day, it is very typical at bedtime to have a fussy and unsettled baby who as a result struggles to go down to bed with ease, taking up to an hour or more in some cases! 😴
Equally if your baby has too much sleep in their day, a late afternoon snooze after 4pm or if your baby goes to bed extremely over tired, it may well result in early morning waking from 4am onwards!
How to stop this??
🌟Allow your baby to have some calm down time before bed, a nice warm bath, massage and feed in a dimly lit room before going to sleep..
🌟Manage your babies nap times. As they reach 12 weeks they are usually having a small morning nap 30-45minutes. A larger lunchtime nap, normally 1.5 to 2 hours & a small afternoon nap of 20-30 minutes max.
🌟 Also make sure your baby as enough awake time to after feeds. If you can get your baby into a FEED.PLAY.SLEEP pattern then this ultimately has a knock on affect to how well your baby sleeps and also if taught to settle themselves with a fall tummy, they then become capable of stitching their sleep cycles together comfortably!

  • Trigger warning: the following post discusses suicide.
✨ Meet Leslee. We connected with her during the Utah County film screening, and are so grateful for her sharing her voice. Read her story below.
If you or a loved one needs help, you can always call Postpartum Support International’s helpline at: 1-800-944-4773. If it’s an emergency, call UNI’s crisis line at: 801-583-2500
••••••••••••••
My dad took his own life, my best friend did, and as a new mom with Postpartum Depression, I had feelings of suicide every day for my son's first 2 years of life.
Let me first say that I had never felt a suicidal thought until I had a baby. I never understood the state of mind someone could get to, to feel like taking their life was the answer.
Mental Health issues made me feel like my truth was silenced. And it stayed for so long that I forgot who I was before it all happened. It was easy for me to feel like my son, husband and mom were better off without me. I felt like I would be doing them a favor instead of dealing with a sad or crazy person forever. I did not think the strong thoughts would ever go away. And I sure as hell did not want to be the one everyone felt bad for because I felt suicidal. So I kept quiet.
I have always been the friend who stays positive and supports those around me when they have struggles. I was the “fun” friend. And I didn’t even know HOW to do that anymore.
Then, I had a tiny blink of consciousness out of the fog, and spoke up. I opened up to one person, and I’m so grateful I did.
I am strong. You are strong. Speak up! I told one person how sad and scared I was. And it felt so good to say it out loud. Saying it out loud felt so freeing.
Step by step I have continued to treat my mental health like a brand new baby. To do all it takes to keep it alive and strong. Even when I’m happy/strong as ever, I still do the work to maintain it.
Mental health matters. WE are never alone. Your current situation is not your forever. Hold on. Speak up.

  • 🙌🏼❤️❤️ Posted @withrepost • @norabloom_ Creeps calling and messaging me and Doctors going on outdated research or their own personal opinion will not stop me breastfeeding or sharing my breastfeeding photos. I don’t really care what you think, I care about what this little guy needs. Every parenting decision I make is based on what’s best for my kids and what works for them. Yes, it’s harder. Yes it means I have a sore back or I don’t sleep as well or I have scratches on my chest (I really need to cut his nails again) but I’m ok to deal with that if my son feels happy, safe and secure. I am in no way judging people who don’t breastfeed or choose to stop, we are all different and what works for some may not work for others and we all have a breaking point. I know in a way putting myself first may make me a better, stronger mother for my kids but in this retrospect I’m unwilling to put myself first because my son is too little to understand the reasons behind my decisions. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve tried dummies and bottles but he still isn’t keen on them. I will just take every day as it comes and if for some reason I have to stop breastfeeding him for medical reasons I will but for now I will wait until he is at the level of understanding where he knows he doesn’t need it anymore. Melody was around 3 when she was able to give up her dummy because she was ok within herself to do that, her decision. I don’t believe my son manipulates me like the Dr so kindly told me, I believe he is just a toddler, a baby that can walk. He is still learning, he can’t make his own lunch, he can’t get a job, he doesn’t understand why storms scare him, he still needs me for comfort and comfort helps his little brain to grow. Just keep doing you guys, there are always people who are going to judge or not like you for whatever reasons. We may not always understand it and that’s ok. As long as you are genuine and kind to yourself, that’s what truly matters.

  • I might not be heading away on a cruise that I was invited to through corporate, but the fact I have the chance to?! Incredible!!
-
3 years ago I realized the gym wasn’t working for me. I was tired of going for 1-2 hours after working a full day. Spending $50/month to rent someone else’s equipment and leaving feeling the same way I did going in. Like I just wanted to get home and veg out on the couch.
-
I finally decided to stop being stubborn, and be a know it all. I was done assuming that at home workouts didn’t work for me because I tried them on my own before. I accepted that watching what I ate wasn’t the same as having a balanced meal plan or eating enough of the right foods.
-
I learned that I was just telling myself these things cause I was scared. Scared to try something new. Scared that it wouldn’t work. But ya know what?! It was EXACTLY what I needed. A FULL package that included workout plans, nutrition guidance, and a freaking fun virtual community of ladies.
-
So I went all in. I spent $200 (equivalent to less than $20/month) which improved my life forever. It’s given me the knowledge to get results. It’s encouraged me to work not just on myself physically but also mentally giving me the confidence I was lacking. I’ve gained a crap ton of friends & have created a 5 figure income by turning it all into a business.
-
I’m so thankful I got over my damn self and tried something new. Cause I’d still be wasting my $$ on a gym that didn’t give me what I needed 🙏.
-
If any of this resonated with you, you know where to find me. I’m always up for sharing this incredible gift that I have to offer♥️

  • Dusted off the cobwebs today with a few hours outside, I think I'm more tired than Oscar is but I'm hoping it means he sleeps through the night 🤞

  • If you thought you had to have your 💩 together to be a good mom, come hang out with me. I am 💯 winging it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I've been a mom for nearly five years and most days I still have ZERO clue what I'm doing. 🚂 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • Crying is a late sign your baby is hungry. Watch for earlier hunger cues such as sucking on hands, squirming and rooting to avoid a ‘hangry’ baby.

  • This was my spot next to the fire place. I had my fingers curled in between the blocks to hold my body up while I just stretched as my body contracted. I remember feeling like, is that is really happening? Because I felt so okay with everything which was not the case when we were at the hospital for paisley and Scarlett I felt so nervous and anxious about everything there. .

Didn’t know what to watch while I waited I probably would’ve gone with Fixer Upper too but we were watching Netflix so I just stuck with that and Friends I was it. .

So incredibly thankful for our midwife, she is a wonderful woman, when she answered the phone at 1:45am she was so cheery and I was totally not expecting to hear that so early in the morning. My labor was a little over two hours, which was much faster than our first two. .
