Ingredientes:
.
✅2 tazas de harina todo uso

3/4 cucharaditas de polvo de hornear ✅1/2 taza de leche

1 cucharadita de extracto de vainilla o almendras ✅1/2 taza de mantequilla a temperatura ambiente

3 cucharadas de azúcar morena ✅Harina para enharinar la superficie de trabajo

1/2 cup taza de pasta de guayaba ✅1 taza de azúcar en polvo

Instrucciones:
-Precalienta el horno a 150°C [300 °F]. -Mezcla harina y polvo de hornear. Reserva. -Combina la leche con la vainilla. Reserva. -Bate la mantequilla, azúcar crema y azúcar en polvo hasta que cambien de color. -Añade la harina, alternando con la leche hasta terminar con la harina. -Extiende la masa con un rodillo sobre una superficie enharinada hasta tenerla pareja y fina. -Corta cuadros de la masa, tamaños 4” x 4” [10 cm x 10 cm], colócale en el borde la guayaba. Enrolla y sella en los extremos. -Lleva al horno precalentado a 300 ºF [150 ºC] grados por 20 minutos. -Retíralos del horno y aún calientes cubre con azúcar en polvo.
Deja enfriar antes de servir. Guarda en envase sellado hasta por 3 días.

  • Ingredientes:

3 xícaras (chá) de cogumelos paris frescos
1 cebola
2 dentes de alho
1 ½ colher (sopa) de manteiga
1 ½ xícara (chá) de caldo de carne caseiro
1 xícara (chá) de creme de leite
Noz-moscada ralada na hora a gosto
Folhas de salsinha fresca a gosto

Modo de preparo: • Limpe os cogumelos com um pano úmido e corte-os em fatias finas. • Em uma panela, derreta a manteiga (em fogo médio), junte os cogumelos e deixe dourar por cerca de 10 minutos, mexendo de vez em quando. Reserve numa tigela 1 colher (sopa) das fatias de cogumelo para decorar o creme. • Acrescente na panela a cebola e o alho picados e refogue por cerca de 2 minutos. Regue com o caldo de carne e tempere com sal, pimenta-do-reino e noz-moscada a gosto. Assim que ferver, diminua o fogo e deixe cozinhar por mais 5 minutos. •Transfira o creme para o liquidificador e bata até ficar homogêneo. • Volte o creme para a panela, misture o creme de leite e leve ao fogo médio, apenas para aquecer. Sirva a seguir com as fatias de cogumelo e folhas de salsinha a gosto.

Finally paid a visit to the Fed after hearing so many raving reviews. Me and my friend weren't that hungry so we ordered the Large Poutine fries ($12). I liked the ambience of the place, it definitely had the American diner vibe. The second photo is a picture of me, smiling before I had the Poutine.. I was so excited to try it, I ate one chip and it wiped the smile from my face straight away 😪 The menu describes Poutine as fries with cheese curds and gravy. Damn that sounds so simple, how could you screw it up right?! 🤷🏻‍♀️The fries are the base of the dish, these fries weren't crispy. The fries were soggy, nasty and lacked seasoning 😷 The cheese curds didn't have any flavour and weren't adding any value to the dish. Okay let's talk about this gravy, my first ever job was at KFC and the Colonel would literally roll in his grave if he knew gravy was going to be disrespected like this 😠This gravy was so weak and had no dimension in flavour. Instant packets of gravy are so much better than this. 
Bad fries, bad cheese and bad gravy = Angry Yu Yu 😡 
THEY WROTE 'TRUST US' above this Poutine on their menu.. HOW DARE YOU. Places like the Fed are the reason why I have trust issues. The legends say Yu Yu is still crying from this experience 😢😭
Despite this first bad experience I would still give them another chance and try a different menu item. Side note: Their staff are kind of rude, maybe that's apart of their whole 'American diner experience' 🙄
