  • Hamburguesa de Heura con Calabacín Asado y Mahonesa.

Desde que años atras viera el documental de Cowspiracy (os lo recomiendo encarecidamente), he estado tratando de reducir mi consumo de carne, una veces con mayor o menor éxito que otras.

Pero era algo que se me hacía bastante cuesta arriba ya que soy poco amiga de frutas, verduras, legumbres y hortalizas, pues hay muy pocas que me gusten.

Pero sin quererlo el pasado Noviembre probé unos tacos de una cosa llamada Heura, al principio pensé que era un nombre "fancy" para alguna parte del pollo o tal vez la ternera. Como ambos me gustan no le di importancia, pero me picó la curiosidad por saber que era y mi cara cuando descubrí que era carne vegetal fue algo así ---> 😱🤯🤩😱🤯🤩 No pude alegrarme más pues tampoco soy demasiado amiga del tofu t esto suponía una solución muy importante a todos mis problemas.

Indagando descubrí que la fabricaba @foodsfortomorrow una empresa española (lo que me gusta más aún si cabe porque me parece muy importante invertir en la economia local) y también que podía comprarla en @lasirenaes asique me lancé.

Bien, pues hace ya un par de meses que practicamente no consumo proteina animal y no puedo estar más feliz, sabiendo que ya casi no participo del sufrimiento animal que se da a lugar ya no mataderos (como es obvio) sino también en algunas granjas y que con ello reduzco también mi impacto medioambiental.

No era algo que me obsesionara, pero si era un objetivo pendiente desde hacía tiempo.

Esto no significa que me vaya a hacer vegana (sorry, pero la leche de vaca en cafelito que no falte 😂), puede que ni siquiera 100% vegetariana, pero es importante que tomemos consciencia de que consumimos infinitamente más carne de la que verdaderamente necesitamos, y que al final del día los cambios están en nuestra mano pues si no hay demanda la oferta se reduce.

Yo solo puedo recomendaros que probéis esta delicia llamada Heura (en especial los Bocaditos Mediterraneos 🤤) porque alucinaréis, de verdad!

  • ☕️DALGONA COFFEE - ICED LATTE☕️ Heyyyy, c’est lundi ! En forme pour commencer une nouvelle semaine de confinement ? 🏠moi ce week-end, petite baisse de moral et zéro motivation, mais je sens qu’aujour’hui ça va déjà mieux 💪🏻 voila une nouvelle recette qui va vous réveiller en ce lundi matin 🤩

C’est la boisson TENDANCE du moment, depuis deux semaine,on la voit sur tous les réseaux sociaux, j’ai donc voulu à mon tour essayer 👩🏼‍🍳j’avais déjà testé il y a une semaine mais je voulais une meilleure photo 🙈Allé, c’est super simple! 
Recette: melangez 2 cuillères à soupe de café instantané, 2 cuillères à soupe de sucre et 2 cuillères à soupe d’eau bouillante et mélangez jusqu’à obtenir un mélange épais et homogène. Remplissez un verre de glaçons 🧊 et de lait, j’ai utilisé le lait d’amande @alpro et ajouté le café au dessus. Mélangez quand même bien sinon vous aurez tout le café à la fin 😂

Il y a tout plein de recettes de brioche simples à faire qui traîne sur Instagram en ce moment, profitez en. Par exemple, celles de @livionna02 ou de @thedailysaby qui m’ont justement donné l’idée de manger la brioche en «pain perdu ». ⁣

    On teste la brioche perdue avec un filet de sirop d’érable 🍁🍞⁣

    Il y a tout plein de recettes de brioche simples à faire qui traîne sur Instagram en ce moment, profitez en. Par exemple, celles de @livionna02 ou de @thedailysaby qui m’ont justement donné l’idée de manger la brioche en «pain perdu ». ⁣

    Je n’ai pas testé leurs recettes de brioche encore mais j’y compte bien ! ⁣

    Bon début de semaine, essayez de vous faire un programme histoire de ne pas végéter dans le canapé toute la journée. Bon courage pour ceux qui font du télétravail ou étudient 👩🏻‍💻👨🏻‍🏫⁣

  • Mum and I attempted some bread baking and for a first attempt, not bad!! We made herb and garlic bread rolls (started off as pull-apart but we changed plans half way!). Mum also made a lovely tomato soup, sauteed spinach, and spicy potato wedges! Such a delicious meal and more so because we were proud of our work! 😍😋
[Backstory - both of us have always been a bit apprehensive about baking, and have had some not so great baking experiences in the past. So, while we love the idea of baking fresh goodies at home, we always hum and haw for days before getting around to it! 😂] We had some dough left so instead of making more rolls, we decided to keep it for dinner and make a pizza. It was so tasty 🙈😍 (yes, I'm saying it myself)!! The stupid thing I did, however, was forget to bake the base a little before adding the toppings so it took an eternity to cook fully! But was worth the wait. We managed to get a hold of some vegan mozzarella cheese from @earthstory.coimbatore which was perfect.

Dice 2 small apples or 1 big one and add cinnamon. Microwave or cook on stovetop until they get soft but aren’t mushy. Add in 1/2 cup of oats and 2/3 cup of plant milk or water. Cook until oats absorb all the liquid.
-Toppings-
I used a bunch of frozen berries but this would be so good with nondairy yogurt or if you’re feeling really extra, nondairy ice cream😳

Step 1 In large bowl, add milk and egg yolk, then mix them well. Add wheat flour and then mix them softly.

Step 2 Beat the egg white.
1. make sure the bowl and whisk is very clean and oil free, stainless steel or glass bowel is better as plastic bowl always contain oil.
2. The egg whites have to stay at room tempurature.
To start with, beat the egg whites with electric mixer on low speed, the foams appear. Gradually add sugar, then beat on medium speed for a minute. Keep beating for 2 to 3 minutes, the egg whites become thicker. It form moist peak and hold its shape when lift the mixer, this is soft peak. You can also check the meringue by turning over the bowl, if meringue doesn’t come down which mean it is ok!

Step 3 Heat your nonstick pan over medium heat, then brush lightly with oil.

Step 4 Use a big spoon 🥄 to add some mixture onto the pan. Cook 2 to 3 minutes or until bubbly and edges are dry. Then, you can turn it over and cook 2 minutes more or until golden. 
Step 5 You may enjoy it with some berries🍓, banana🍌, honey🍯 and etc!

The Quarantine Stress Berry Crumble Delight

.either use a premade or...
1 cup Gf oats (you can turn it into flour by grinding in your coffee grinder or leave as is)
1/2 cup almond flour or all purpose Gf flour (or any Reg flour)
1/2 cup earth balance or butter
1/3 cup coconut sugar 
Dash of salt and maybe cinnamon.

Preheat 350 on convection, 375 otherwise
🤍
Get yer hands in this mess and mush it up. Take all your Corona Virus stress and just go to town mushing this up. Really get in there. Once the butter is annihilated and thoroughly dispersed through the oats and flour, begin to press this into a glass pie dish (or any pie dish). It should easily cover the bottom and the sides. It may not go over the edge, so don’t stress on that. Bake for 10-12 minutes to set. It doesn’t have to be fully cooked, because we’re going to bake a pie y’all.

5 cups of any berries, frozen or not. I used a giant frozen bag I had of organic mixed berries. 
1/2-3/4 cup (your taste) of literally any sweetener you want. I used monkfruit sugar. 
3 tbsp of lemon juice 
1-2 tbsp of corn starch or arrowroot flour 🤍
Toss all of these in a glass bowl, mix it up and throw in the pre-baked pie shell.

Crumble topping recipe is a few posts back. You can opt to use it or not! It’s super easy and you sub any flour you want - also oats!

Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn’t burn. You better eat this with ice cream because America needs you to stay home and eat well. ✌🏽

  • Tonight’s labour of love 😍🤤 I was supposed to be going to visit my family for the Easter holiday, and now that will no longer be happening. I was missing the comfort food my mom always makes, so I decided to make my own! The potatoes are a recipe I stole from my mother in law and Yorkshire puddings are a favourite in this household!   • I realized since I did not overdo it on sugar and alcohol yesterday and maintained proper portions, I woke up in less of a 💩 mood. Then add my mommy meth Magic and I was feeling badass 
However, I was not excited about standing in the rain to wait in line to go grocery shopping today. I did not want to even think about meal prep.

It gets more and more interesting every time I grocery shop. I only go once a week but today there were many rules with where I needed to stand and even the procedure to pay so I could keep my distance from everyone. I totally appreciate everything that the stores are doing to keep us safe. Although I felt more out of place by not having a mask and I saw some pretty intense ones.

I’m happy to say that even though I did not feel like it I made my five salads for the week and also an orzo crockpot meal for dinners and Spencer made tomato soup. We even got creative with a few lunch ideas to rotate for the girls. How is your meal prep going these days since grocery shopping is so interesting?

coconut rice was made in my @crockpot on the pressure cook setting, just replaced most of the water with coconut milk — google has a lot of recipes if you want the exact ratio
greens and avocado are from my @ediblegardensla box
furikake seasoning is from @traderjoes

  • Im still trying to perfect my Udon Noodle Salad recipe. What are some things you add to yours to make yours perfect? In this version, I included rice vinegar, agave, sesame oil, soy sauce, minced ginger, and Sriracha for the sauce. I added it to the cooked noodles and stirred in red bell pepper, cucumbers, and carrots. It wasn’t perfect just yet, so I still gotta work on the flavor :)
