  • repost via @instarepost20 from @savannah_joyyy Happy 🍟yay peeps! Similar to any other muscle group in the body your abs should be trained 1-2x a week (sometimes 3 😈) with 24-48hrs of rest in between.
β€’
Hope y’all are having an amazing start to your weekend! ALSO! TAG me if you use these exercises, I wanna see damn it! πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ˜
β€’
AB WORKOUT‡️
-Swiss Ball Roll Out: starting out on your knees, get comfy with forearm placement, tuck your butt in & ROLL! Breathing is incredibly important when doing this so breathe out when rolling out and breathe in when going back up.
-Banded Mountain Climbers: standard plank position, bring your knee all the up to your elbow and squeeze your core! Same not to keep your butt down also. You’ll feel it more 😈.
-Weighted Russian Twists: the more controlled you are side to side the more it works your core.🀘🏼 -Side Plank w/ Knee Crunch: these are the toughest for sure! Hold steady on your side, you can do it on your forearm if you want to. Breathe out when bringing your knee up and in when going back. You’ll feel it on both sides for this one 😈

Top #flashbackfriday Posts

  • #flashbackfriday to the nights in St. Petersburg, FL. at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital Pediatric Emergency Trauma Center as an RN II.
β€’
What was my most memorable night shift ever?! The night where I communicated with the attending doctor, who was the Chief of Medicine, that I felt uncomfortable discharging his patient.
β€’
this was a man of the greatest caliber... I’ve never met a man so humble and strong and as true of a leader as Dr. Rahman.
β€’
I told him, β€œI’m concerned that the child isn’t just sleep talking and that he is having hallucinations.”
β€’
We discussed all matters while deciding on a new plan of action: CT of the head and a lumbar puncture to rule out...
β€’
2 hours later, the child was admitted with a diagnosis of meningitis.
β€’
I will never forget how my charge nurse accompanied me while I was nervous to push the ketamine sedative on the patient who was already lethargic... while a military veteran and my other strong ER colleagues ran the rest of the department while we were occupied with the procedure.
β€’
I am so humbled to have this place as a part of my journey. My time at #ach will always and forever hold a special place in my heart.
β€’
here is where both of my son’s fought for their lives as newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit. Here is where my step father faced his fears of driving over the bridge and crossed the Howard Franklin to make it the Ronald McDonald House to surprise me. Here is also where I received the call that he died sudden and unexpectedly of a heart attack. Here is where I met some of my best friends. Here is where I first wrapped a baby after an unsuccessful code. Here is where I did compressions with my hands on a 35.6Β° skin. Here is where I learned some lifelong lessons. Here is where I learned so much more than medicine.
