  • There’s no talent here, this is hard work. This is an obsession. Talent does not exist, we are all human beings. You could be anyone if you put in the time. You will reach the top, and that’s that. I am not talented, I am obsessed.

  • A bunch of peeps has asked me how has my nutrition changed to prep for this upcoming show. Cutting out donuts has definitely helped. 🤣 My prep isn't your typical "contest nutrition". On top of my Chicken, Tilapia, Shrimp, and Eggs- these has been my go to hacks that helped my get through the last 3 months. For the most part, I have adopted some principles of Paleo, but not full blown crazy caveman diet. I still enjoy peanut butter, and some dairy. - Paleo pancakes: has been a lifesaver for me, it's been breakfast and part of my dinner for a good part of this journey. I get them at Sprouts
- Seite Grain free Chips: has been my go to, as I just needed some crunch in my life. I get them at either Sprouts or Wholefoods
- PB Fit: just needed a little Peanut butter kick to my Protein drink. Sam's club
- BCCA's: I'm not the biggest fan of supplements, and I didn't like the way Pre-workouts made me feel. This works very well for me. Walmart people
- Dymatize Elite 100% whey protein: Which in my opinion is the best protein on the market, easily digestible compared to others. Vitamin World had a special where you buy the 5 lb jug and get a 2 lb jug free.
- Sunflower butter: this is life! I don't like almond butter, but I do eat whole almonds... is that weird? Sprouts
- Walden Farms Salad dressing- if I'm correct, Walden farms is a company that was created for Diabetic patients. Its Calorie free, sugar free, fat free, carbohydrate free, gluten free. and cholesterol free. I use this on my Chicken salad from Filipitos which is my cheat meal lol. I get this at Sprouts - and the last picture up till 2 weeks ago, I was using Powerful smoothie. Sugar free, the first couple times I used it I gagged a little as it tastes like shit. But, it grew on me. Cut it out just eliminate dairy towards the tail end of my journey. I got them at Walmart.
These has completely helped change my body and helped me get from 223 lbs to 191 lbs, and I'm still 10 days out from tomorrow.

  • YOU WENT OVER YOUR MACROS 😱

Been there. Done that. It happens to us all. Whether it’s on accident (happened to me last week) or you give in because of cravings/being too hungry- it’s OKAY. You are HUMAN. You did not “ruin” all of your progress.
. 
But what do I do when I go over my macros? Well to be completely honest, it doesn’t sit well with me when I cheat or go over my calories when I’m not suppose to. I am someone who sticks with the plan 110%. So what I do other people may not agree with. But last week I accidentally whenever my carbs by 10 grams, so the following day I removed 10 grams of carbs extra. And for me, that’s what I feel comfortable with so I know I’m still hitting my weekly average of calories that I’m suppose to be hitting.

Now let’s say you’re someone who ate wayyy over your macros and ate a hefty meal. If that is happening to you often, either your calories are too low day to day or you’re not having a healthy relationship with food. If this is happening again and again (more than once a week) you need to seriously review your daily intake or reach out to a registered dietitian for help. Food is meant to be enjoyed and it’s not suppose to scare you!

I am a health and fitness coach and passionate about helping others. It all started when I was going through a horrible heartbreak and decided I couldn’t cry myself to sleep anymore. I spent a majority of my life depending on others for my happiness and realized I was always coming up short. Overweight, insecure, no goals, no dreams, no direction. -
I stumbled across a wellness group and slowly (very slowly) decided to take back my life and find my true meaning. I have spent the past 2 1/2 years learning to love myself and help other women do the same. To say this journey has been life-changing, is an understatement. -
I’m passionate, I love Jesus but I cuss a lot, you can usually find a drink in my hand and sarcasm in my mouth, and I believe there is zero reason to be rude or disrespectful to anyone.

  • Self care can mean a lot of different things.⁣

For me today it meant sleeping in this morning and saving my workout for after work.⁣ ⁣
Some days for me it means enjoying a glass of wine 🍷 or reading a good book 📖 ⁣

Other days it means spending time with God reading my devotional and listening to worship music.⁣
⁣
Other days it means crushing a workout even when I don’t feel motivated or taking a shower even when I don’t feel like it 🤷🏼‍♀️⁣

The point is you need to do what’s best for you, listen to your body, listen to your mind, listen to your soul, figure out what you need to rejuvenate yourself and make yourself better and do that⁣

We all have off days. But you can’t pour from an empty cup. You can’t drive with an empty gas tank. So be sure to fill yourself with what makes YOU the best version of YOU. It’s okay to make yourself a priority 🙌🏼⁣

  • Im suck today so I’m going to post about my weekend.
I was lucky enough to visit my fiancé in beautiful Southern California and I’m so happy that I was still able to continue with my fitness routine. My computer acts as my trainer and I brought it and was able to do all of my workouts in the morning right in his living room.
I don’t mind taking a day off but knowing that I can bring these workouts with me is amazing and oh man-they’re getting harder and harder!
