  • Die Kniebeuge ist schädlich für das Knie! Natürlich ist das der größte Schwachsinn überhaupt. Die Kniebeuge machen wir mehrmals am Tag sogar wenn wir auf die Toilette gehen und als Kind können wir sie problemlos ausführen. Leider geht diese Fähigkeit in den Jahren wieder verloren...und wir müssen sie erst wieder neu erlernen. Natürlich gibt es auch Trainer in einem Discounter Fitness Studios die ihre Trainer Linzenz am Wochenende gemacht haben und dann versuchen die Kniebeuge zu "vermitteln". Selbst mit unseren Fortgeschrittenen Athleten üben wir immer wieder die Kniebeuge! #crosspandables #fitness #health #squat #backsquat #lünen #kamen #waltrop #selm

  • ❌❌ IS YOUR UCS CAUSING YOUR SHOULDER PAIN ❌❌

UCS or Upper Cross Syndrome is the manifestation of paired 'tight' and 'weak' muscles, or as I prefer to call them 'unhibited' and 'inhibited' muscles. This combination can lead to altered postural findings such as FHP (forward head posture), rounded shoulders, and scapular winging. Here, the shoulder joint has less space on the front for movement, which can cause pinching of soft tissues. It's no wonder that shoulder impingement is often accompanied by UCS 🤔. These exercises are useful for those who have been doing shoulder exercises without resolving their  symptoms. Don't chase the pain , chase the dysfunction!!!

📈 A full program will include thoracic mobility and deep neck flexor exercises which I touched upon in previous posts. Just give my page a scroll to find out how to work towards a a healthy posture. .
Today, we go over strengthening the trapezius muscle as a whole 💪🏼. Yes this includes the demonized upper trapezius muscle, as well as the middle and lower fibers, rhomboids, rotator cuff, & levator scapulae to name a few. The most important thing about these exercises is to 're-train' the role of the upper trapezius muscle. If you avoid using it altogether, you will never truly learn how to pattern them. The main goal with these exercises is to challenge the scapular muscles in various angles.

➡️ Banded Front Levers - Here the main emphasis is to work on the middle and lower fibers of the trapezius as well as the rhomboids for scapular stabilization.

➡️ Banded W Levers - In addition to aforementioned muscles, these will also work the external rotators of the shoulder especially as you hinge forwards.
.
➡️ Banded Lever Angels - These 🔥🔥🔥 like crazy. Work up to these by first developing proper form of the aforementioned exercises. This combines the two movements together with a pressing motion to really challenge all the overhead angles, targeting the lower trapezius muscles. Keep the form GOOD!

Banding the muscle near its upper insertion point like this will trap a lot of the blood in the working muscle. This keeps metabolites and growth factors in the muscle for more sustained periods and can activate growth with LIGHTER WEIGHTS 👏💪
