  • Fun fact: when I first started training with @cwarren01234 and she would mention Bosu Lunges, I would want to cry. I hated them. They hurt. I had zero balance and would feel like the biggest dork wobbling and trying to do them. 
But now that I’ve been working on my balance and my form - I LOVE THEM! They’re one of my favorite exercises to do! Progress, people. It’s all about consistency and working hard towards a goal - no matter how small.

  • Thoracic Spine Mobility

The T-Spine is an area that allows flexion,  extension, lateral flexion and rotation. Due to our sedentary lifestyle sitting in front of our computers all day this area becomes stuck in flexion(hunched over). Prolong being hunched over will cause stiffness and lack of mobility in the T-Spine, which can result in neck pain, shoulder, mid/low back pain etc...
.
Many of us try to counteract this immobility by doing thoracic extension, but tends to forget that it can also laterally flex and rotate. If one is stuck in flexion sometimes it’s better to restore lateral flexion and rotation first before going into extension. Here are a few T-Spine mobility drills.
.
1 - Tall Kneeling Lateral Flexion (arm swing)
2 - Open book with foam roller(sit back onto heels)
3 - Thoracic Extension (brace core, keep chin tucked in)
4 - Half Kneeling rotation (keep hips and head still looking straight ahead)
5 - Combined lateral flexion with rotation (keep hips and head still looking straight ahead)

  • When I say I'm ready to hit the weights again, I'm as ready as Spongebob feels. 😆
I am planning to be more structured to gain muscle mass, get stronger, and be more defined. 
On top of my physical traits, I want to continue to improve my mental/emotional health so that I can get through this "on-the-verge of burnout" stage that I feel I have been in. With the school year ending, even though I will have 2 online summer courses, and a job, I know it's possible to redeem myself. 
My spiritual health will also be a priority. I have not been active in my church for so long, but I've kept and grown my testimony of its importance of incorporating it into my life. Going with my mom last week was the start to a refreshed "me". ·
The future starts now. ✨❤

When you feel stuck, try analyzing your life and see what you want improved. Then work towards those goals to have the change happen. 🙏 It can be one heck of a challenge to get there but your happiness is worth it.
