  • 6 weeks ago I entered a competition at the gym where I was In a team of 6 competing against other teams at the gym. For a while I have been stuck in a rut with my training and diet. going through the motions not really training for anything just training and my diet was not  the best. When I entered the competition my Goal was to meet some new people at the gym and have some fun. I decided to give the competition my best shot and gave up drinking, started weighing my food and taking supplements this is all the things I have done in the past when was in my best shape. Over the 6 weeks I lost 4 kgs, gained a heap of confidence, made friends at the gym, Started training with a trainer to help me keep accountable ( even trainers need trainers πŸ˜‰) best part about it is that I don’t wake up with a hangover on the weekends and when I mean hangover I am talking after two drinks such a light weight in my old age πŸ€ͺ my post today is about don’t be afraid of change or coming out of your comfort zone, you never change your life until you step out of your comfort zone, we have to be honest about what we want and take risks rather then lie to ourselves and makes excuses to stay in our comfort zones.  #comfortzone #change #dontbeafraidofchange #diet #confidence #motivation #consistency #consistencyiskey #fitmom #fitover40 #chicksthatlift #fitchicks #fitmummy #fitspo #fitfam #fitnation #gym #health #healthandfitness #bootycamp #abs #eatclean #personaltrainer #inspiration #instafit #instafitness #instahealthy

  • When you can’t find a full length mirror but you just need everyone to see the matching game was STUHHHRONG πŸ€ͺ had a KILLLLLLLER πŸ‘ day and boy did it feel good to workout. After taking a break because of extreme digestion issues then getting a stomach virus nothing was going my way .. i dropped four pounds over the last couple days from no appetite πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ˜­ time to get my appetite back up and get Movin πŸ˜‚but first day back was bettuhhhh then ever. Tracked my workout ok @dbftllc app which is literally my new favorite app to use for my workouts. 🀘🏻

1. Grapes, apples, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, cucumber, peepers, dried apricots, frozen mango 
2. #ricedcauliflower, frozen cauliflower, broccoli, brown rice, sweet potatoes, #pumpkin apple crisp TO DIE for! 
3. Corn salsa, #vegan pesto, hummus 
4. Ground turkey, chicken, turkey, eggs, and @thinkproducts ! -
All these foods are SO versatile β€” I’m thinking apps, a yummy salad, and a good cheese board - yum!

  • Deadlifts today in my new @truefeatbrand leggings! So I haven’t actually had a chance to deadlift with a barbell until today. I used to deadlift with dumbbells so that I could focus on my form. This is 95lbs for 10 reps! My hands hurt more than my body haha 😒

  • Let’s talk about plant based protein powder! -
The difference between this type of protein and whey is the dairy. Whey protein is a milk based protein which doesn’t digest well with a lot of people like me! I am dairy intolerant so plant based protein is always my go to! -

I have tried my fair share of different plant based protein powders and have found Alche Pharma to be the best in my opinion! A lot of other brands tend to have a bitter and chalky taste since they don’t have the dairy in it, but not this one. It also mixes well with water and remains thick! -

You may be wondering, is it necessary? The answer is no, it’s not. BUUUUUUT it is a different way to get in your protein requirement for the day. I like to mix it up between this powder, egg whites, shrimp, and tilapia. It’s a different story for bodybuilders. Our diet requires a lot more protein than the average person. It is also very convenient for busy people that are on the go all of the time! I personally use it as milk for my post lift cereal!   • Meet day complete! Didn't get exactly what I was hoping to but went 7/9 and surprisingly my underdog lift this prep of deadlifts ended up being the best and most smooth of the day! .

Had such a fun day thanks to all the amazing women I got to compete alongside today as well as my #NVCT friends and amazing other half @captivating_circumstances who was so helpful and encouraging all day πŸ₯° .
.
And of course major thank you and appreciation goes to coach @___lordchungus who was an amazing coach and handler all day and who has done such great things to improve all 3 of my lifts both technically and in strength these past months. It was so great to be a part of #teamchungus today with @daanielllemarie 😍πŸ’ͺ .

Lifts of the day were 281 squat (failed an all-time PR attempt at 292), 159 bench (failed an all-time PR attempt at 176), and 341 deadlift πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ
