  • I started to see results when I stopped focussing on 🆃🅷🅴 🅽🆄🅼🅱🅴🆁 🅾🅽 🆃🅷🅴 🆂🅲🅰🅻🅴 and started focussing on how I felt 🤲. ⁣
⁣
🔹Consistency with eating. It shouldn’t be a diet.  When I focussed on healthy eating as a way of life, the results followed. Focus on long-term success and sustainability with your eating;⁣
🔹Drinking a lot of water: Hydration increases your energy levels and helps curb your hunger;⁣
🔹Using an app to track what I eat. How can you lose weight if you don’t know how many calories you are consuming in a day? I use MyFitnessPal and love the macro settings.  It’s an easy way for me to meal plan and see when I am eating too many carbs in a day.  It is also great for when you are shopping, as you can scan barcodes on food products and see the breakdown of calories;⁣
🔹Eating a carbohydrate-dense low fat refeed meal once a week to refeed carb stores and stay on track all week without feeling deprived (I ate a burger and yam fries once a week through my entire 14 week prep);⁣
🔹Always carry snacks. When hunger hits, you don’t want to have to make unhealthy choices because you have no other options. My purse is always full of protein bars;⁣
🔹Lifting weights: Lifting regularly increases your muscles, burns more calories and does all kinds of beautiful things for the shape of your body;⁣
🔹Increase the weights regularly. Lift heavier, gain more muscle;⁣
🔹Consistency in workouts, including cardio. You can’t lose the weight if you don’t show up and do the work every day, even when you don’t feel like it;⁣
🔹Finding out what works for your body (here’s where having a great coach can help) and sticking with it. I kept trying different things that I saw people posting on ig and then realized that what works for someone else may not be the best for me. Every body is different, metabolisms are different, we are different ages and have different genetics. I will likely never achieve the same body that someone else has, so I have to work with what I’ve got and measure my progress from last week to this week, not on someone else’s results.⁣
