  • “Travel makes one modest. You see what a tiny place you occupy in the world.” 🏔️😍

Manali is a high-altitude Himalayan resort town in India’s northern Himachal Pradesh state. It has a reputation as a backpacking center and honeymoon destination. Set on the Beas River, it’s a gateway for skiing in the Solang Valley and trekking in Parvati Valley. It's also a jumping-off point for paragliding, rafting and mountaineering in the Pir Panjal mountains, home to 4,000m-high Rohtang Pass.

  • Lempuyang Temple has to be one of the most photographed locations in Bali. The majority of photos presented on this platform have a beautiful reflection showing the surroundings before you. This isn’t a pool, but a man whom sits at the Temple gate day after day combining his phone and your own. I asked my driver about him, he informed us he wasn’t paid for his work, and merely enjoys helping those whom travel there create a pristine and unique image. The cultural aspect to this destination made this spot my absolute favourite, the blessings, the dancers, and the live music take you to another world.
.
.
However, getting this shot wasn’t exactly easy. We’d travelled two hours and visited two spots prior, our driver couldn’t take us all the way up the mountain due to the lack of appropriate roads. I’d decided before we left I wasn’t going to be jumping on any mopeds. So, from our drop off point we walked roughly 40 minutes up hill in the blistering heat no idea where we were going. Finally, we located the buses taking people up further, hopped on and looked out the window as the bus climbed. Struggling with altitude the engine sounded as if it were in third gear rather than first, paranoia set in as a breakdown seemed likely. Nevertheless, we made it up, donated a fee of choosing, received our sarongs and kept going. By this point I was extremely dehydrated, the lack of air was affecting my breathing and I was on the verge of passing out due to low blood pressure. But, I refused to leave without first getting to this gate despite my partners protests. In the end, it worked out we made it here, and it was remarkable.
.

.
I’m not saying risk your health to get to a location, it’s not advisable; but I am who I am and was determined. No one said adventure would be easy. 🎎🏯🎏
