Lots of you have been asking to see how the new collar and leash setup and how they work, and so we managed to corner Manny for a few minutes of modeling.
.
We’ll be having 3 sizes/widths of collars(small, medium, large), buckle/snap clasp or just slip over the head will be optional, the attachment D ring will be paracord, and the small ring for tags will be metal. Of course, all the hardware will be black, as they are on the leashes. As for colors, we’ll be offering black, silver, blue, red, navy, and hot pink for the leashes and collars...AND due to popular demand, we’ll also be offering leashes and collars in camo! (Soon!)
.
Check out the video and let me know if you have any questions about how either the leash or collars function. And I’ll be announcing pre-order availability very soon!
.
Stay tuned! ❤️

  • Stella the Mini Golden Doodle #puppy is learning so many important skills in her 3-week Board & Train with Bay Area trainer, Lindsey 😍. ✅Crate training is one thing a lot of owners struggle with, and one thing we always advise clients to teach their dogs (yes, even if you aren't going to use a crate long term!). Your dog will, at some point, need to be in a crate at a vet or boarding facility. ➡️Start slow, and build up duration. Reward frequently INSIDE the crate. In this video, you will see Lindsey closes the door BRIEFLY at first. Too many owners move too quickly, and expect too much too soon! Go slow, use proper reward placement, and timing. Taking your time to teach your puppy will always pay off long term! 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗖𝗧 𝗨𝗦 𝗧𝗢 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗗 𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗪𝗘 𝗖𝗔𝗡 𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗣 𝗬𝗢𝗨

  • Sky loves shredding. Boxes, stuffed toys, food packages, you name it. I always keep a stash of items she's allowed to shred, stuff them with food, and let her at it!
________________________________________________
Make Your Own Tear Toy:

Ingredients:
1) Paper Towel Roll
2) Popped, unflavored popcorn

Fold one end of the roll & stuff it with popcorn or any other treat you have on hand. Close up the other side & hand it over!
________________________________________________

Try giving one to your 🐕 and let me know how they liked it in the comments below!

Training Tips: Letting your dog shred & tear apart objects can redirect a lot of unwanted & "inappropriate" behaviors. The reality is, many "inappropriate" behaviors are either a result of boredom or natural instinct. Digging, tearing apart, dissecting, & more are all species specific behaviors in dogs. These behaviors can act as stress relief, mental stimulation, & an outlet for extra energy. Rather than getting frustrated, try giving your dog a tearable toy to let loose on!

You get out what you put in. If you put 60% effort in, you will get 60% of the results. That goes for ANYTHING in life, but especially when it comes to your dog.
There is no wave of a magic wand when it comes to making change. Dog training takes hard work. It takes commitment, consistency, teamwork, and dedication. If you compromise on any of those, do not expect to get the same results if you had expected more out of yourself.
You are going to get the best out of your dog if you put the best of YOU into your training 💥. Pictured: Zero the #GermanShepherd enrolled in our 3-Week Board & Train with Northern California trainer, Samantha. 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗖𝗧 𝗨𝗦 𝗧𝗢 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗗 𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗪𝗘 𝗖𝗔𝗡 𝗛𝗘𝗟𝗣 𝗬𝗢𝗨

  • Lots of people love to see our success and the transformations we make with dogs, but when we talk about how we got there it tends to ruffle some feathers. This video is from my Fargo, ND seminar, and it shows an owner who’s been struggling with her dog since the day she brought him home FINALLY have an enjoyable walk. The dog would lunge at bikers and practically pull her down. She tried redirecting the dog, counter conditioning the dog, and had already sought out help from other trainers to no avail. In a ten minute protocol, we stopped the dogs reactivity and showed its owner what a calm dog and a calm walk actually look like. So how did we get there? The bonker. A wrapped up towel that has become such a taboo topic in the industry, but we, (and dog owners watching our DIY videos) are seeing nothing but success and dogs staying in homes from its use. Owners who are at their wits end are experiencing massive hope for the first time from this simple tool and simple concept—eliminating arousal.
You see in the video a dog on its hind legs rearing up and trying to chase a biker. (Arousal, not fear) the dog has practiced this behavior many, many times in the short period that its owner has had him. It’s well practiced and engrained into the dog. Anytime we address behaviors like this, the first step is to stop the arousal at the very first sign. You can see it in the video the second the dog alerts on the bike—The ears go up, the chest goes out, and this all happens a split second before the lunge. That very moment is the spark that we want to extinguish because a moment too late, it becomes an explosion. Continued in comments below ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

  • Muzzle training is SO important. I believe every dog should be muzzle trained. Muzzles are not just used for dogs who bite, it can be used to keep your dog from chewing things, including stitches after a surgery, artifacts outside or in the house, and so many other things. Muzzles can keep your dog safe! If you are looking for a muzzle make sure you find one that allows your dog to still pant, drink and eat (treats mostly, not necessarily an entire meal). #muzzle #muzzletraining #dogtraining #dogtrainingtips #doberman #servicedog #pet #dog #dogs #dogsofinstagram

  • Except from latest YouTube video on channel Kikopup! By breaking training up into small achievable steps it makes learning and teaching fun. The first time I was really impressed by this cute trick was in 2012 when canine freestyler Vanda Gregorova and her Chihuahua Enrisa Orlen performed it in their amazing routine.
