Been there, done that. Guess how I started my own fitness journey? Using the internet too. I am pretty sure it was Erin’s Stern’s guide on bodybuilding.com that I started this whole journey with.⁣

Back in 10th grade, I remember sitting at my friend’s house  on the computer, fascinated by all that was out there. I was mindlessly looking and said, “hmm this seem like it would work for me. I wanna look like THAT…”⁣
⁣
That was MY first encounter with a “diet” and training plan and I am sure most of you guys’s encounter too.⁣
⁣
The internet is filled with so many different diets and plans and tricks and tips and blahhhh. BUTTTT you are going to continue staying up at night, frustrated, when you realize that none of those were created for YOU.⁣
⁣
It is a vicious cycle of trying diet A and diet B with weight loss pill A and cardio plan B, that you saw Fitness Model Rebecca and Swole Gym Bro Joe post, and well, what they’re doing must be working ,so it must be for you, right?⁣
⁣
WRONG.⁣
⁣
There is a process to get to where you want to be. You must learn about your body’s needs. What kind of calories you need for maintenance, surplus, and deficit. What  exercises work for you. Learning to balance healthy  eating with still enjoying yourself..⁣
⁣
You must learn to build the discipline muscle…. Let me stop there and repeat DISCIPLINE… NOTTTT restriction…⁣

And how do you create discipline? ⁣
⁣
OVER. TIME. GRADUALLY. WITH PATIENCE. Not with an 8 week program. Not with Diet A or Diet B. Most certainly NOT with  diet pills. AND HELL TO THE NO TO “RESTRICTION.”⁣

Doing all of those and not seeing results is what leads to “dieting” trauma and in turn makes you want to never even think about being healthy  again.⁣
⁣
I am here to solve that problem. Health and Fitness IS doable and enjoyable when you do it right!⁣

  • I’ve lost 17kilos and am in better shape now than before I was pregnant, and it can happen to you too! But If you want change, you’ve got to be open minded and willing to get out of your comfort zone. .
You’ve got to realize that:
. 
1. Long term health, fitness and weight loss is 80% nutrition and only 20% fitness. If you aren’t mindful of your diet, you may look fit but will never really be healthy, and will likely bounce back when you stop exercising. .
2. Dieting and fasting deprive your body of the calories and nutrients it needs to build muscle mass, burn fat, have energy and get healthy! In fact part of your weight loss when you diet and fast is muscle loss, which causes your metabolism to slow down, and your weight to bounce back when you start eating normally again. .
3. Your body can get back in shape if you learn how, when and what to feed it. You don’t need #medication #dietpills or a freaking #gastricbypass all you need is #selflove a #supportgroup and the right #nutrition to set your body on the right course! Side lying incline lateral raise! I usually use lighter weight on these and do a little hold at the top.. but today, I decided to go 5lbs heavier than normal and try to get as many reps as I could. .

Adding in some heavier strategic cheat reps can help with gaining strength and gaining size. Buuuut, it’s a strategy, it’s not just swinging the weights and using momentum!
