  • Despite really, really wanting to cancel today’s private training, as my work day became most hectic and stressful leading up to it (with a migraine forming to boot), I decided just to suck it up and NOT allow myself to break from this commitment. Not even just for me, but I also thought about how fortunate I am to have the opportunity to learn and grow with @smileyx1510 ‘s expert guidance in a personal training session and in the most incredible atmosphere that can only be uniquely found at @anatomy . When just the warm-up part of the session began, I was already so exhausted that I wasn’t sure how I was going to complete 5 minutes of that exercise much less a whole hour of working out; yet I was surprised to find myself feeling much happier, more relaxed and refocused in mind, and getting stronger in body throughout the training. I was uncharacteristically pouring sweat through most of this hour, but when the session ended, I was feeling completely rejuvenated, resolute, and GREAT! Again, the best part of my day was this hour... this hour where I had to firmly say to everyone, “No, please wait,” just so I could have this one hour of the entire day for ME, my self-growth, self-care, and sanity. No words can express how glad and proud I am that I pushed to make this happen today. Already looking forward to applying some of what I learned today at home to practice and can’t wait for Jose to help me again next week!!! Thank you so much, Jose and my Anatomy family for all of your encouragement and support as ALWAYS! 🙏🏼💪🏼🤩 #CultureIsEverything #SweatSesh @marcmegna @maxineb827 @davidbeast911 @vseveriano @weediddy @salt.n.peppah @edwin__santiago @kasenfitness @arosafitness

  • When I started my arbonne business one of the major things that appealed to me was getting out of the house WITHOUT my kids and being valued as someone other than “mum”. Now that I have a brand new baby, I’ve gone full circle and truly appreciate this business and the ability to bring my girl everywhere! Not only that, the community and connection I get from being in that environment of positive women truly is SO important during a time that could otherwise be isolating. So much more than products, this business is for everyone. .

  • Today was a particularly long, busy day at the office that I anxiously knew would be capped off with my first-ever real personal training session with @anatomy body architect @smileyx1510 (after a shamefully long hiatus from working out). It’s funny how the part of my day that I was most anxious about actually turned out to be the BEST part of my day. I almost forgot how GREAT it feels to be back on the grind, for both the body and the mind. Ended our session feeling already a little sore, but excited, ambitious, and looking forward to pushing myself more each day, gratefully with much-needed expert guidance from Jose! Lao Tzu said it best, “A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.” 🙏🏼💪🏼🙌🏼 #CultureIsEverything @marcmegna @chrispaciello @maxineb827 @davidbeast911 @weediddy @kasenfitness @salt.n.peppah @vseveriano

  • ⚡️ NOT A NEWSFLASH ⚡️
Being in business for yourself is HARD AF some days.
YOU: 😱”say WHAT?! Isn’t-this the girl who is saying I should join her business and team?”
⠀
Yo, that’s me..but I’m also not here to bullshit you.
There is no denying I LOVE my business 99% of the time but I’ be straight up bullshitting you if I didn’t say there are days I cry to Craig because of something someone said//did or someone giving up on themselves before they reached their potential. 😭😢 I always said I wasn’t a crier but here I am!!! No doubt, I’m emotionally invested in my business and the women/men I mentor and pour my time and energy into.💕#dynasty
⠀
So what keeps me going on the 1% of crappy days? 👏🏼👏🏼DUH. The 99% of the other days where I know I’m exactly where I belong. I have surrounded myself with other women/men who know the same. #cultureisEVERYTHING ⠀
The 1% of days when it’s TOUGH are completely out numbered by the days I cry tears of joy to @craigforrestal showing him my paycheck or the amazing testimonials from my team as they transform their lives from inside out.🙏🏼
⠀
I’m a no BS type of leader.
I keep it real and some days are just hard.
But do I quit? HELL NO.
I mean, statistically speaking, tomorrow will be a day I probably sit in gratitude and joy because of my business.
⠀
If you need someone in business who keeps it straight with you on the good AND bad days: I’m your girl. 🙋🏼‍♀️ Regardless though, we truly should be talking about this life changing opportunity for YOU and for YOUR family.
I want you to have the 99% days of gratitude and joy. #youcan #youraredeserving

And on your hard days I’ll tell you to cry it out, suck it up, and keep going. Because it worth it. 👏🏼 PS -» peep 👀 my stories for virtual biz event info next week! If you’ve been curious about this happiness biz now is the time to learn!

  • Boy do I adore NYC! I love the diversity of culture—the mixing & blending of people! Whenever I trek to NYC & return to Baltimore, I come back a little more inspired to be an International Citizen—a person that loves & appreciates everything that this complicated urban civilization we dwell in can be. It ignites my creativity & the freedom to be myself unapologetically so. The point of this is to celebrate culture on what I remember to be one of the most terrifying days I experienced as a teenager questioning where society was headed. Togetherness is a beautiful thing! Culture is worth preserving & sharing! Because sharing is well caring. Not a day goes by that I don’t rep those things to the fullest! No matter how saddened I am by the news, by politics, by bigotry, by racism, by exploitation within my urbanite city observations I keep hope alive with the idea of perseverance. I love me some NYC & no act of hate nor fear could ever strip you of the uniqueness of culture you’ve given this world 🌍 Peace & Blessings on this Day of Remembrance #neverforget #nyc #lovenyc #nyclove #internationalcitizen #culture #lovemesomeculture #cultureiseverything #loveisculture #nycculture

Real Time!! Be careful of what you visualize and tell the Universe you want because it WILL be delivered if you trust and believe and surrender it!!! For the last couple of years I have visualized being on stage at our yearly convention as one of the presenters! I could actually see myself there alongside the co-founders (of this 2 billion dollar company) Paul Gravette and Jason Camper. To deliver a message to people like me who never could imagine the extraordinary gifts inside them yet to be uncovered!! Well......I am not (YET) presenting at the yearly convention with 40,000 plus people (oh but I will one day in the near future) BUT I have been asked to present at a big event in Texas ALONG SIDE million dollar earners, a panel of amazing Thrivers and leaders and.........wait for it...........the CoFounder Paul Gravette!!!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. The Universe and God delivered!

Are you kidding me!!!!!!!!! This is yet just another truly amazing step in this journey for a girl who thought she was only a "one trick pony", that she hit the corporate ceiling and that she could not achieve any higher heights. Her gifts and talents were expended.

BUT THAT WAS NOT THE CASE!!! That same girl got offered an opportunity by an angel Lisa Giacalone to do something different, do something out of her comfort zone, something so scary but yet so perfect her. An opportunity to write her own ticket, to also help other people to write their own ticket if they were willing to move past fear and embrace their extraordinary gifts with the guidance and support of an amazing company and team.

So as you csn see below 👇 this chic is on the flyer and will be speaking TOMORROW in Texas, this chic is not limited, this chic is on a mission to build up and inspire other people who are ready to let their extraordinary gifts out!!! Is that you????? If you are in Texas, come see us tomorrow, you are one decision away from building your #extraordinarylife.

  • In this week's episode of the Think Big Act Small podcast, I explore item #6 on the ‘Culture is Everything’ checklist: ⠀
⠀
Do you have a 10-year obsession that acts as your north star?⠀
⠀
A 10-year obsession is all about vision: documenting where your business and team is heading, so you can create the right culture for the future you want to create.⠀
⠀
It's an idea learned in part from Jim Collins and his concept of a 'Big Hairy Audacious Goal' that will take a decade or more to deliver, and will take you from good to great. ⠀
⠀
You can listen to the full episode here: https://buff.ly/2UB3wTx⠀

Hardwork.
Relentless determination.

When I was young I remember specific moments when things clicked. I realized something that would stick with me for the rest of my life. Things don’t just happen. If you want something you have to go after it with all of your power and energy. No one was coming to save me or to clear a path. things never came easy for me. I had to make my own path. I had to experience all of the things that felt like torture and scared me. I would come up with anything that would challenge me. Pushing cars in the parking lot or sprints on the field. I hated running and being in the cold. I would force myself to run and train in the cold. It was mind trick. So many things scared me and made me weak. I programmed myself to smile when things became unbearable. It didn’t happen overnight. Many people helped me along the way, but the work had to be done on my own. I came up with 2 rules that I still use this day. 1. Eliminate complaints. (Even the negative thoughts in my head) 2. Add energy. When it got overwhelming I would yell, scream, and smile. Sounds crazy, but that became my way of pushing a little bit more. That energy to years to develop. “If you want to look good in front of thousands, you have to out work thousands in front of nobody.” -Damien Hilliard

@acole55 was a high school TEAMMATE and close friend since childhood. He was a phenomenal athlete and awesome TEAM player. It was refreshing to have someone like Adrian by your side. ————————————
Thank you Adrian for being a great friend and TEAMMATE. Thank you for making time to participate in the @justakidfromfallriver documentary. You and so many others make me proud to be from Fall River. This documentary salutes Fall River and what it means to be from Fall River. Thank you to my dear friend Randy of @monarchproductions for coming up with the idea for this film. You are so talented. I’m honored. .

  • When I was young I remember specific moments when things clicked. • Some days I feel like I'm doing what I was put on the earth to do... ever get that feeling? @klatle_bhi and I spent the week in beautiful Bella bella, with my bro @iannusireid and his beautiful family. We did some good work while we were here, 70 years of carving experience between the 3 of us, I've never enjoyed the aches and pains of such an exhausting week as much as this. Heiltsuk nation is going to have a beast of a big house soon enough, with some amazing house posts to hold it up, @iannusireid your generosity inspires me

  • Today I share a tribute to the late, great Michelangelo Antonioni, the director of several of my favorite films. Watching his 1975 masterpiece "The Passenger" has become something of a tradition every February before we begin the transition to Spring. This masterfully perceptive look at "identity, alienation and the human desire to escape oneself" as film reviewer Roger Ebert so eloquently put it, is just the thing to keep one grounded as winter comes to a close. Why is this movie so compelling? Why do I find myself revisiting it year upon year? Beyond that famous and innovative final tracking shot, the highly symbolic scene of Jack Nicholson's character flying over Barcelona, and the assortment of alluring locations, it does something few films achieve and so many aspire to do. It speaks directly to the human soul, in that timeless and unpretentious way that only a student of Italian neorealism can. The Passenger has the thrill of adventure, infinite possibilities, romance, and exploration that we see in any James Bond movie, yet it does it in a believable, captivating, and ultimately poetic way. I must also confess, this movie is partly responsible for some of the loveliest memories I have of Barcelona. If you haven't yet seen it, add it to your list today! #cinema #michelangeloantonioni #icon #cultureiseverything #art #blackandwhite #photography #inspiration #hero #italianstyle #jacknicholson #identity #essential #1975 #italianneorealism #neorealism #artfilm #mariaschneider #realstyle #barcelona #london #rome #travel #tgv

  • 💃🏼 LAUNCH PARTY 💃🏼⁣
⁣
What a fitting launch for an incredible local brand. I have been so fortunate to have the support of @nakhair over the last 4 years. They have seriously gone from strength to strength, dominating globally but still remaining true to their roots and their culture.⁣

A massive congratulations guys 🥂⁣
Here’s to big things in the future!!
