Here’s a foundational drill I like to use with shoulder patients who struggle to keep their low back from compensating during overhead motions
__
The band under the low back and the knees in the air promote a more neutral spinal alignment and provide accountability/feedback during the movement
__
The PVC pipe has a light weight attached to add a loading effect while also using the non surgical side to assist with the last little bit of overhead motion that’s still lacking
__
Give this a try if you arch your back or flare your ribs when you go overhead

  • Our first ever Technique Series will start on November 3rd, 2019!⠀

The Snatch: Top Pull & Pull Under Technique Series is a one week online course designed to help you lift more efficiently. In this series, you will be provided with warm up drills and exercises for the Snatch to learn and reinforce how to: Properly extend at the top of the pull, pull under the bar, and connect these two steps in one synchronous motion.⠀

Athletes enrolled in the course will receive a one week Technique Template containing the warm up drills, along with videos of the drills with instructional voice over. The Technique Template contains 4 days of warm up drills for the Snatch, and are intended to be performed directly before the athlete performs Snatches in their training program. The template is a supplement to a training program, and NOT a training program in itself.⠀

Athletes will also be provided with Video Analysis to ensure that the drills are being performed properly. Up to one video per drill per day can be analyzed (Day 2 has 3 separate drills, so up to one video each for a total of 3 will be analyzed).⠀
⠀
This will be our very first group, so we are offering a discounted introductory price as we are sure that we'll learn how to refine this service to give each athlete the best experience possible. This first group will be capped at 10 athletes. Feel free to reach out to us at if you have any questions at all.⠀
