  • I didn’t feel like doing today’s workout. I wanted to come home and nap but I got changed and did it anyways. On entering my score I found out I had finally hit my 40th wod with @crossfitlinchpin. It’s taken a while due to a knee injury that sidelined me for a couple of months and then breaking my toe but I am happy to say I am now finally smashing my training and loving the doms I constantly have.   • Rest day thoughts from yesterday and many other yesterday’s all in one:
I’m slowly learning to listen and talk to God throughout the day.  It is a conversation that doesn’t really have a hello or a goodbye.  It’s constant...just as HE is.  What I’ve found in this journey is that I am so human!  Agh!  Duh.  But still!  How I long to be better! .
.
I easily get caught up and distracted by busy.  And busy can work me up into a chaotic tizzy if I let it.  It will cover up my eyes and ears keeping my communication with Jesus unavailable to my limited attention.  It’s distracting and smothering. (And not in a good  way). Almost claustrophobic to the point of panic and frustration.  I don’t like this flaw in me that so quickly bubbles up.  I want to filter this stress through a voice of reason but attacking that solo as just little mortal me is a lofty, unattainable, lost, and wandering sight.  The one who calms the storms and whispers freedom, peace and unconditional love is the ONE AND ONLY ONE who can help me.  If I talk to Him about my day, throughout my day, that spiritual balance I cannot find alone is maintained.

He is there holding out His arms to us to hang onto and be guided by if we only ask and cling.  Take moments in time to talk.  Check in.  The consistency of checking your messages (HIS) and responding will bring clarity and focus that is unmatched and full of peace not of this world. “YOUR STEADY LOVE, IT WILL SUSTAIN ME THROUGH IT ALL”...🌊

Started tracking calories again today to keep myself accountable in my meals and measurements to further pursue the fat loss  I’m trying to achieve.
Doing this by breaking out the ol food scale and tracking all the measurements in @myfitnesspal
Normally I diet pretty flexibility by consciously know my caloric requirements mentally and portioning out my food from learned experiences-but tracking calories has always been a staple requirement for me to hit the leaner stages of cutting.
.
This doesn’t mean restricting yourself, but actually ALLOWING yourself to know your “caloric budget” to see if you can squeeze in some food that can fulfill your cravings!
Don’t view it as a restriction or your already setting yourself up to fail!
