  • In this article (http://bit.ly/3584VF9) I talk about the holiday blues as a real phenomenon, with half of us feeling some stress and mild depression. The holiday blues are felt by people as a result of the holiday season. Yet, some people are entering the holiday season already feeling stressed, anxious, sad, grieving, depressed, etc. How do I enjoy the holidays while helping people I know to cope with their holiday blues? -Chris #holidayblues #people #cope #holidays #holidaystress #expectations

  • Every #conversation about what happens after we #die is based on a #belief; it isn’t factual. Most of us #believe what we believe so that we can #cope with the idea of #death. Death, though, is a natural part of the cycle of all things living.
⚰️⚰️
We may not know what happens after death but what we do know is what happens to those that have to deal with our death after we expire. Certainly, the #memories live on and the idea of someone no longer being with us physically is #painful.
😢😢
Although we die, we actually never leave. Our memories live on. The #experiences people have with us live on. Our #contribution to the world lives on. The #impact we had on others live on. The life of the living after someone dies is #influenced by the life of the one that died. The dead never leave.
🙂🙃
We talk about our grandparents, family, friends and others even after they die, this keeps them alive to us. Things they said and did. The essence of who they were. This is why I say, there is no coming back because once we show up, we never actually leave the #hearts of those we shared our lives with and our contribution to the world moves on from
generation to #generation.

  • Give a warm welcome to this week’s podcast guest @clairepapell 🙏 Claire is a yoga teacher and supports women in times of grief through virtual sessions where she aims to be a “soft place to land” in trying times. She is on the podcast with us to discuss the important work she does, grief around the holidays, the importance of breath, and her own story of childhood trauma surrounding medical interventions for a congenital heart issue in the early years of her life. We hope you’ll tune in, and be mindful of the show notes for this episode, as we’ve linked the many ways to get in contact with Claire, including how to setup a consult call, if you feel drawn to. 💛 Happy Monday, enjoy!

  • Last night I suddenly realized #Ada was #playing super #gently again with what was on my wrist while eating. Ada stopped doing this for a while during meals as she was so uncomfortable and in distress that it was a battle to get enough food in while she clearly let us know that she was trying desperately to #cope with the eating and drinking process. Overall severe lack of #coordination with her GI is one of the reasons we started Ada’s Mermaid Fund. #Watertherapy (which provides consistent and #gentle necessary #exercise for someone with #hypotonia) is essential to keep Ada’s #functionality #flowing. This sign of Ada playing #peacefully as she eats as I felt such #calm was quite a milestone for us as we have been in such a dark hole since Spring time. Ada always finds a way to communicate #HOPE and #strength and a will to #keepfighting for what she tells us she needs.
Please join our #dreamteam at worldofmae.blog to donate to our #Mermaid Fund and we also just got Venmo too which I don’t really understand but pm me if u want more details♥️🙏🧜🏼‍♀️💪🏽🧚🏻‍♀️👊🏽🌊 #ridethewave #fitnessforall #differentnotless #water #pool

  • There are some things that would normally make me want to just quit.... then, I remember the importance of patience and pulling through. From our pleasant and unpleasant experiences, we are able to help countless others overcome their issues.

Sometimes, people disappoint us and at times, we disappoint ourselves.

Recently, someone I deeply respect and admire lied to me. I'm used to such things, but, this one honestly broke my heart. 💔💔 After wiping my tears, I thought of all the times I must have hurt those I love by being inconsiderate, inconsistent or simply foolish. It doesn't deny that what they did was wrong, but, I had to forgive, despite my anger, pain, and confusion.

We all have a journey we are on that's not as smooth as we dreamed it would be. Keep moving ahead, keep blazing trails and keep learning the crucial lessons that are like hidden treasures inside the muck and mire of our winding roads.

Raise your hand if this coping mechanism is one that has ever helped you. 🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️ #forgiveness #lifelessons #survival #cope #coping #lies #journey
