  • It is well known that Italians are connoisseurs of pasta, soccer, pizza, beautiful women, and automobiles. Among an added list of virtues, is that of wine expert.
Their French cousins are better at charging more for wine, but Italians are first in production, have the know-how to make wine better, and make it better. Of course, bad apples can be found next to good ones, but look at it as the glass “half full”.
If someone is caught, it means they were checked, and if their is control, we are better protected. In addition to he who does his job well, there is who does it very well; who takes risks and does everything possible to develop ideas and value. An example of personal enrichment might be a visit to the Antinori Chianti Classico wine cellar.
Upon arrival, you will find a map to help you manage the dimensions that you are about to discover. The winery does not follow the usual layout. You have to follow the lines. You might want to start with a meal at the restaurant, Rinuccio1180, where, weather permitting, you can eat on the terrace facing the Pesa Valley, almost in direct contact with the vines that surround the cellar.
The guided tour begins with a video of the Antinori family, where the Marquis Piero introduces himself. The images and explanations about the production estates, the geographic context and local traditions help put everything in context. A quick overview of the building site of the large structure, helps you understand where you are.
Then the central part of the visit begins. You can appreciate the area where the barriques, fermenting cellar and operating machines are located. There is also the “vinsantaia”, with another video and the the jug room with the accompanying explanations. The guide is very prepared and impassioned and helps you become part of the environment.
To coronate the experience is the wine tasting accompanied by illustrations of the particularities of the bottle and of the territory which the wine comes. Both help better enjoy the tastings. The historical aspect comes to light with a visit to the museum. There you will hear testimony from the Antinori family about their relationship with the rest of the world #antinori

  • #throwback We had a wonderful time meeting Kueh enthusiasts and many lovely pairs of mother & daughter duos, when we collaborated with @natmuseum_sg to hold a Traditional Teochew Kueh-Making Workshop with Christopher Tan @thewayofkueh, on Sat 11 May 2019 for a Mother’s Day special! 🥰

That session was 40-pax strong and more of a sharing/demo class with some hands-on (due to facilities constraint), so we heard you and had just founded our very own Traditional Teochew Png Kueh Workshop this round for 24 pax (max) only, so as to enhance each individual's learning experience!

Come join us in our upcoming Fully hands-on Workshop as Chef Müm Yoon guides you step-by-step on how to make Traditional Teochew Png Kuehs and we shall complete our lovely afternoon with a Kueh High Tea, serving you our Signature Yoon's Png Kuehs, Authentic Cikak Kuehs and Signature Ngoh Hiang (a must-have favourite during our CNY gatherings).   • It's workshop time again! And this time @plantbasedcheese and I will be chatting about the nutritional side of a plant-based diet. 
Freaked out that if you reduce your meat and dairy intake you won't be getting key nutrients like iron, calcium and B12? Don't despair! In this workshop we'll show you where to find everything you need in plant-foods. 
This workshop is taking place on April 6th at @livezoku and we’ll kick things off with a short presentation then run through four plant-based recipes... We'll demonstrate how to make a new potato salad with plant-based parmesan (and show you how to make the parmesan cheese) and raw chocolate brownies. Then everyone will split into groups and make their own breakfast burritos and buddha bowls.

Come along if you want to learn a little more about plant-based nutrition and get some hands on experience making your own meals.

  • Witnessing this perfect/imperfect friendship between Sonoko @sonokosakai and Robin @koda_farms at Sonoko’s Japanese Curry Workshop reminds me of what Michelle Obama said about friendship.

We should always have three friends in our lives. One who walks ahead who we look up to and follow:
; One who walks beside us who is with us every step of our journey; And then, one that reach back for and bring along after we cleared the way.”

These two fascinating, witty, talented, beautiful, graceful ladies with rock star level hustling mentality sparks my Saturday!. Both of their friendships practically capture the 3 friends categories in one, inside their 2 bodies (not sure if I am making any sense here 🤷🏻‍♀️). Their banter and love of each other brings so much laughter and lightness to the workshop. It brings depth into human connections. A simple cooking workshop turning into a memorable event and an exemplary friendship goal is priceless.

I have yet been to any cooking workshop as memorable as Sonokos’s. That’s what lures me to keep coming back...it’s her soul, her heart that she pours into people that enters into her kitchen, conversing with her about food, culture, and all aspects of life. Bringing strangers in one kitchen and turning everyone into one big family is an art and Sonoko never fails to impress me. Yesterday, Sonoko and Robin showed me more depth of what friendship is about, while learning how to make Japanese Curry from scratch ⭐️
