  • What if the universe is trying to get us to slow down?

To stop producing, consuming, and chasing. To stay home and let Mother Earth breathe a little without all the extra pollution we cause daily. To take a step back and realize how we really impact our planet and one another. That we aren’t as significant or  in control as we think we are.

A virus can spread like wildfire and wipe us all out but the Earth will still be here. 
_
We are all connected. Just like we can spread a disease, we can also spread love, kindness, compassion, and positivity. Use this time for reflection on your contribution and the kind of life you are living. Observe your internal environment. See what your attention, awareness, and consciousness is truly focusing on. Slow down, be still, and finally hear your true self again. The universe is always speaking to us if we are willing to listen.

  • Lately, I have deep-dived into the emotion of guilt and its connection to the subconscious mind. Personally, I struggle with a guilt complex like many others do, so understanding this emotion can deliver all sorts of emotional relief for us.

Guilt weighs you down! When you feel a deep sense of guilt within your heart, you unconsciously communicate to your subconscious mind that you are a bad person. And what have we been taught about bad people our entire lives? They deserve to be put on trial, judged, and punished. So our subconscious mind obeys this assertion and influences our behavior in a way that will serve us actual punishment in our external world.

Guilt is a universal emotion — we all feel it. For the record, none of your feelings are invalid, you are justified in feeling all of them. However, some emotions, like guilt, can begin to eat at your well being if you dwell in the state of mind it produces for too long. How much is too long? I don’t have that answer for you as we are all unique, but your own intuition will feel it.

Guilt communicates to you some form of inner discomfort. So, if you constantly experience a state of tension stemming from guilt, examine this more closely: what you have not forgiven yourself for?

Every person should always ask for forgiveness from themselves or others just once. Once this is extended, you must come to terms with the situation and understand that you have to move on from it. The other person may not ever exhibit that they have forgiven you, but deep within your heart you can feel satisfied knowing that you truly are apologetic for what you have done and have learned from your wrongdoings. With repeated practice, these feelings of guilt eventually subside, unlocking a higher level of consciousness as you have become a new person.

You have evolved — you are not the person who made the mistake. You vibrate different energy. You are smarter, wiser. But most importantly, you love yourself more for overcoming thoughts that oppressed you previously. 🧠💛

  • Take care of your nervous systems. Thank you @dr_rimka for stating: physical distance does not mean that we stop bathing in the sunlight , putting our bare feet on the earth, listening to birds sing or interconnecting with nature.

In 2019, I was strongly guided to move far away from city life and urban dwelling to a more rural space in preparation for this time. Life shows us that the more we dwell in the ego, the more we interrupt our intuitive guidance which often provides wisdom, clarity, protection, and warnings.

Spend less time on these screens and do all that you can to stay close to Nature. Your aura, your immune system and your mental health with be the greatest beneficiaries. .
Spend as much time as you can in your yard. If you are in a space where you do no have instant access to the sky, the air and the earth then get as much sunlight through a window in your home. Listen to apps and videos of nature sounds. Every little bit helps, especially for Children in healing and staying grounded during this ongoing period of energetic changes, social disruption, earth changes and chronic trauma.

  • These are unknown times, I have been feeling the collective fear and anxiety the last week and I myself have had days of anxiety and worry. 😅However the only times I feel those emotions are when I’m disconnected. I feel anxiety and worry when I don’t meditate, when I don’t go outside, when I’m not grounding myself. So here are a few ways that I have been grounding in the moment and what’s made me feel better! 1. MEDITATE! 👁Connect with your higher self, connect with the divine, connect with your angels! When we are connected and practice mindfulness our worry and stress goes away. Mindfulness also helps to release resistance. Stop resisting this time, ACCEPT it and carry on 2. FOCUS ON THE NOW! 🙏🏼Be present in the moment, put down your phone and go outside. Read that book that you’ve been wanting to read for years but never got around to it. 📚 Look at this time as a GIFT to truly go within and to awaken different aspects of yourself. This is all happening for a reason. Both a collective reason and individual reason. Find your individual reason as to why this is happening. What is it forcing you to do? 3. HEAL YOUR SHIT! 💯I’ve been taking this time to do some inner work myself, so I highly suggest getting energy work done during this period. I’ve also been journaling more and just expressing how I feel. Honor your emotions but don’t let them overwhelm you. 4. TURN OFF THE FREAKING NEWS! ‼️The only days where I’ve had a lot of anxiety is when I go down the rabbit hole and start watching videos and reading articles. Even articles from free media sites still have an effect. Everything is energy and social media as an energy exchange as well. If some of the people you’re following are stressed out and anxious that energy will come to you as well!   • How we deal with our inner world determines how we thrive in our external environment. Our culture reinforces the message that we should aim to maximize our positive emotions (i.e. happy, confident, excited) and avoid “negative” ones (i.e. grief, loneliness, anxiety). This results in us either shaming ourselves for experiencing difficult emotions or simply pushing them aside by remaining in denial. When we refuse to accept the full weight of our negative emotions, we start to self-sabotage, such as by overthinking, self-medicating, or procrastinating. This not only affects how we function day-to-day, but also puts a strain on our relationships with others. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Right now, we are collectively going through an incredibly trying time. Our anxiety is warranted. It is normal to feel scared. Research shows that forcing ourselves to stay positive while pushing aside our “unwanted” emotions can amplify the intensity of these difficult emotions (Le & Impett, 2016; Bastian et al., 2012). As such, the social pressure to feel happy all the time while avoiding tough emotions can make us more miserable. Making a conscious effort daily to implement positivity in our lives is amazing and I highly recommend it. However, expecting to be happy ALL the time while denying our difficult emotions is simply not sustainable. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Today, I encourage you to take some time out and check-in with your internal state. It is helpful to write this out and be honest with yourself. What are you feeling right now? What is the emotion telling you? Identify your triggers. Challenge your thoughts. Be open to what you are experiencing while practicing self-compassion. Ask yourself: What are some small changes that I can make to focus on what is important right now?
