Diversos estudos foram realizados até o presente momento, onde se avaliaram os efeitos colaterais, bem como o efeito do clenbuterol na perda de peso / lipólise. De acordo com FARIA (2017), houveram efeitos na lipólise e perda de gordura no adipócito em ratos e em porcos, mas não em coelhos, sendo que destes últimos, muitos acabaram morrendo por conta de complicações cardíacas.   • کلن بوترول که امروزه به عنوان یک داروی چربی‌سوز مصرف می‌شود، دارویی است که در دهه هفتاد میلادی برای کمک به وضعیت تنفسی بیماران مبتلا به آسم روانه بازار شد. 
به خاطر عوارض جانبی زیاد، مصرف آن برای انسان در کشورهای پیشرفته ممنوع شد و امروزه بیشتر برای درمان‌های دامی به کار می‌رود. کلن بوترول می‌تواند از گوشت دام به انسان منتقل شود و نباید توسط دام‌های خوراکی مصرف شود. 
این دارو مورد تایید سازمان غذا و داروی آمریکا نیست. 
کلن بوترول تنها می‌تواند به اندازه ده درصد مصرف کالری را بالا ببرد و تاثیر آن فقط بین چهار تا شش هفته مشهود است. یعنی اثر مثبت آن به قدری نیست که ریسک مصرف آن را بپذیرید. 
ایجاد بیماری‌های مزمن قلبی، تنگی عروق، گرفتگی عضلانی، کمبود پتاسیم، بی‌خوابی، استرس، فشار خون و تحریک عصبی از عوارض منفی این دارو است. 
توجه کنید که خواب ناکافی و استرس از عوامل ایجاد چاقی است. 
به دلیل اهمیت سلامتی ورزشکاران، کلن بوترول در فهرست ممنوعه آژانس بین‌المللی مبارزه با دوپینگ قرار دارد. هرچند این دارو تاثیر چندانی بر عملکرد ورزشکار نمی‌گذارد و اثر دوپینگی ندارد.

  • Intermittent fasting seems to be a very hot topic right now as I’ve been getting a ton of messages asking for my thoughts on it. First, it is important to recognize that intermittent fasting is not a type of diet like keto or paleo. Rather, IF is an eating strategy. IF just changes the times you eat your food and how you break up your meals. It does not influence the foods you should eat.

IF can be extremely useful for dieting because it allows you to eat 1-2 larger meals and actually feel somewhat full after eating rather than eating 4-6 smaller meals and always being hungry. It's not as useful for bulking since being hungry isn't usually an issue so there is no reason to condense your meals since it will probably be easier to eat enough calories by spreading them out more. I typically implement IF a few days per week depending on my schedule.

Ultimately, whether you follow intermittent fasting or not, your overall macros is what will determine if you lose weight or not. Follow intermittent fasting if eating larger and less frequent meals sounds appealing to you. Don't follow it if you like eating smaller and more frequent meals or you have some kind of health condition which makes going extended periods of time without eating harmful for you.  It's really that simple and either method will work as long as you're hitting your macros. There is some evidence that fasting has some other benefits. However, in my opinion, the evidence is not nearly compelling enough to follow it strictly for those reasons and I would only follow it if you find the eating schedule more conducive to your lifestyle and eating preferences. -

  • We’re not here to pass judgement on steroids one way or the other. This post is just about sharing an old but interesting study.

Methods: 43 men were randomly placed in to 1 of 4 groups: placebo + no exercise, placebo + exercise, steroids + no exercise, and steroids + exercise. Men received either 600mg of testosterone enanthate or placebo weekly for 10 weeks. The exercise groups performed a standard lifting routine 3 times per week.

Results (size): as expected, the group who did nothing (placebo + no exercise) on average did not put in any lean mass. Also as expected, the steroids + exercise group put on the the most (over 6kg on average). What was really interesting was that the steroids + no exercise group put on more lean mass than the placebo + exercise group.

Results (strength): also what was interesting was that the steroids + no exercise group actually significantly added weight to their bench press (around 9kg) and squat (around 16kg).

There are certainly some flaws to this study (like the small sample size) but since being published in 1996, additional research has shown that supraphysiological doses of testosterone enanthate increase lean body mass, muscle size, and strength with OR without exercise.
